- Listen to Scott Gardner of the Royal Oak Fire Department (MI) explain the configuration of their new Rosenbauer apparatus! They chose a layout that affords them space for firefighting and rescue tools, and they chose a custom Avenger chassis to give them all the room they need for easy operation. Check it out!
Nice rig. Looks like a lot of thought went into it. Good luck.
I’m sitting across the street from the fire department at Panera and I just saw one of the avengers go by and had to look it up. Cool ass truck!
Was there a budget on lights u missed the whole side of the truck
That's a sweet ass rig! I'm jealous lol
Not gonna lie but this is the Tesla of fire engines!
I agree
Too bad. Teslas, & their crazy ex-CEO/genius inventor, suck.
I live in a community near Royal Oak MI and was wondering if they were going to replace all their E One engines or just one. Well this Video answered that question.Maybe ROFD will purchase a Rosenbauer Aerial to eventually replace their E One 100ft Aerial ladder or their E One Bronto🤔 That would be Awesome if they do!
@ Malcolm Cossar, I am a former Firefighter with nearly 20 years of experience after serving in 3 different Fire Depts in 2 States over the years. I am not a big fan of E One Apparatus, however, if I had the choice between E One, and Rosenjunk, I would take E One any day. Even the Older E One Rigs that these guys have would be much better than the Rosenjunk's they have purchased, and will soon be getting migraine headaches from the stress that will follow when these Rosenjunk's start living up to their true reputations, and breaking down quite often.
@@kevinswinyer3176 Well then I guess many FD's here in Southeastern Mich and Metro Detroit will have to deal with that. Because many and I do mean MANY are purchasing Rosenbauer. My suggestion is to contact these Mich FDs and ask why and if they have experienced issues with their Rosenbauer rigs. I have No doubts that they would respond being that you were in the Fire Service.
@@kevinswinyer3176 I'll second that about Rosenbauer being crap. However, I am just a low man on the totem pole, so multimillion dollar decisions are way outside my lane.
Where do you keep the spare bottles for the airpacks?
No pre-connected 2.5 line ?
if I have the Avenger Pumper, My Avenger Pumper would have the Whelen 295HFSC9, It would also have window tints white roof, Strong Air Conditioning, and Vancouver Canada Style Spartan Fire Truck Air Horn.
I am a firefighter in Puerto Rico, what requirements do I need to make a transfer to Michan?
All I'm going to say is that key that locks the medical compartment will likely be lost or snapped off in the lock day one!
The trucks in Troy are Yellow
wym
He actually said they bought this because of the styling..Pretty stupid reason for buying a fire truck...how about durability, longevity, ease of operation , parts availabilty, dealer service and availability, responsiveness from the manufacturer, and #1-Quality and value for the taxpayer dollar..
This is going to be the future of fire fighting these apparatus vehicles are a good idea in the near future diesel engines will be a thing of the past
@@jayhalpern389 you do realize this truck IS a diesel?
Angry soy drinkers in the comment section lmao
Very surprised that a municipality would allow a public official to endorse a commercial product.
I made an Earlier comment regarding this video. I Never thought It would get people upset. I've got FFs and former FFs saying Rosenbauer is junk. Don't tell me tell the RO FD! I'm NOT a FF but I don't believe they're idiots who don't know how to spec an Apparatus for their dept and this MI Dept chose Rosenbauer! So for those who think the Apparatus looks crappy and Rosenbauer is Crap then Confront them Don't tell me!😤 I read comments such as this rig doesn't have this or that well as I mentioned tell the ROFD because THEY were the ones who specified what they wanted on their rig and NOT for some person or other FD in this country!🤯 People it's a FIRE ENGINE,I repeat a FIRE ENGINE!🤯🤯 So yeah I'm getting upset myself because NEVER in a million years did I think my comment praising this rig and hoping RO will purchase a Rosenbauer Aerial one day would cause a war of Words with so many Apparatus "Experts"! 😫😫 Freaking Incredible!🤯
you are upset because they say it is a piece of garbage, in this video there are 27 comments among which at least five are mocking. I'll tell you: if they don't like the company that makes these vehicles and equipment, why don't I see the same "hate" on other vehicles that look like more 'murrican? The answer is the look, there is not too much chrome hahaha. Apart from this, what matters is the duty of the means/equipment and the courage of men and women in risking their lives for others, but seams like they forgot every time
Another Rosenjunk will bite the dust soon...
Should be a Law that only Seagrave,Pierce,E One should be allowed as American Fire Trucks😒 Get F'ng real. You're just ticked that Rosenbauer is European company. You make a comment about Rosenbauer. I have a Better idea. Email the Royal Oak Mich FD and ask their FFs why they chose Rosenbauer. Because the FF's were the ones who designed the Specs for their particular Dept NOT you!
@@malcolmcossar6447 no, it's because Rosenjunk is nothing but pure Junk. E One, and Pierce are both slowly becoming the same as Rosenjunk. Junk....
@@malcolmcossar6447 I mean it’s not as cool as the fire trucks right now but I mean it’s not junk either
I'll agree with that👍!
🤮
Nope, not a fan of this truck at all. It just doesn't look right.
Ugly front.
God, this company makes some of the ugliest apparatus I’ve ever seen.
Yeah, not enough chrome or bells or mars lights or any of that other outdated crap we usually see huh?
same here they made a big mistake getting rid of the old trucks for this euro junk.
Who Givesa 🐀's Ass if it's Ugly! Fire Apparatus don't have to be beautiful! Identify care if the Truck is Brown,Black or Martian Green or whether it's small or large! Apparatus are meant to last 20 yrs and last I heard they don't have to be Beautiful!
@@Jimmythefish577 I've seen a lot of brand new rigs that are traditional-looking, yet they don't have all the outdated crap. The Rosenbauer is still ugly.
you guys just made a big mistake buying those horrible looking trucks you should have stuck with your old ones much more reliable than the euro junk.
