The problem is stemming from the fact that everything is so hyperpolarized, nothing can be just what it is and move on, everything has to be labeled as the worst of it's situation.
Funny thing, both of you are kind of right, the mundane stuff does exist, but it's mainly inconsequential, and making a fuss of any of it does nothing to make anything better except to make oneself feel righteous.
Otherwise, it does not harm than good, because plenty of people will parrot crap about a glass ceiling when it doesn't exist for most people, but all it does is keep people down with said narrative because why try if there is no where to go?

I've met some african americans who really disliked other african americans because of the kind of things they were put through by people of the "same color." People like to throw labels on people who use labels, but in the end a lot of things are a result of a person's experiences in life, not always just "they're just racist, end of story."

I think it's based on a mindset that you understand you're group better and know what they would pull because you would do something similar.
Women know women and they hate each other is fairly similar in terms of sayings, because women know how to play the game.
I guess men in general don't have an issue with men is an exception because we're just too stupid to care.
Sure but I also feel like someone that's coming from that position should know better and set an example of how to act towards your own color as well as others. That counts for everybody. I don't see color as something that makes it ok to generalize a whole group of people, even when they are your own.

Why do People use Colour to describe another human?
History Lesson Incoming: The terms were used to alienate different people from feeling and being counted as an actual human. It was originally a way to detach a certain race from another race of folks and the terms never really died off. At least, not in America.

@@warcraftwarcraft I think it's a mixture of a convenient descriptive of a person, and a matter of culture, as many would describe that there exists a "black culture" here in the US.
Not sure if in Denmark you guys just don't think it's appropriate or if it's something else, but here, I think people are more conscious of it along with a very distinct manner in which people will act. I doubt in Denmark you guys have such differing cultures that is commonly divided by skin color.

I worked a few years in logistics at a medicine depot. One of the truckers there was the most racist guy I've met. Every time I'd swing by with an order and he set about collecting it, he'd rant about the kind of shit "black people in this country try and get away with". Dude was from Sri Lanka with skin the deepest shade of brown it was nearly black. Immigrant of 10 years in the country. The way he saw it, if you weren't a hardworking man or woman and you'd immigrated, he had no sympathies for you.
From my understanding, a lot of born Africans don't really like African Americans, primarily from the portrayal of either social media or extreme side of the sjw group, like the crazy feminists at an example.
Someone explained that they believe that a lot of native blacks are entitled and lazy, and I'm not sure if it's because of how they dislike their attitude within those portrayals, or if people assume that portrayal on THEM, and hate the association.
@@dragonheart967 That's pretty much the attitude of one of my old professor's in grad school. Guy was born and raised in Nigeria, got his BA there, then got his MA and PhD in the US (UT-Austin, as a matter of fact, go figure). I took a course from him on "The Colonial History of Africa" and while he never said anything overtly negative or unfair, you could definitely tell that he wasn't a fan of African-American culture or most black Americans in general. Apparently, according to him, the black community here in the US also has their own critiques and issues with African immigrants as well, so it cuts both ways. It was a fascinating look for me (white guy from Appalachia) into a cultural issue that I had no idea even existed....

I worked as an Associate Banker at Chase for a few years. Had a lady screaming at me that my "white ass should be burned in the street like an animal." She was white. My boss at the time (who was black) kicked her out and exited her from the bank. Closed all her accounts and said "You'll get a check in the mail with all your funds in it, have a good day"
