Why Go Raftpacking With An Electric Raft?

- Now that I've had my Tobin Sports Canyon Pro DIY electric raft out on a few adventures, this is why I prefer it to regular raftpacking! By letting the electric outboard motor power your boat instead of you doing all the paddling, you're left to enjoy the beautiful scenery and water. And the whole setup isn't as heavy or bulky as you'd think, either--even with some solar charging thrown in the mix!

I have a tobin ($149 costco) and minn kota trolling motor 36",34 lb thrust($129.99 bass pro) and Litime 12V 100Ah Mini LiFePO4 Lithium Battery($329.99 amazon).Perfect for fishing all day! The activity range is nearly 10 miles! very fun! But don’t sail on a windy day!
If you add Bimini top you can put to solar panel on the top, maybe it can charge the dead battery when u using the second battery.
I just drape the solar over my equipment up front

Got that same boat and looking for a trolling motor. Is the 30" shaft on your Minn Kota long enough? I've seen other people recommend a 36" shaft for use with the Tobin and other inflatable boats. Not sure which one to go with.
It's juuust long enough. Reccommend going with the 36"

@@MikeInTheWoods out of curiosity, what pressure do you run yours at? I find the recommended 1psi is too little.
