I remember being at Carnival and we were in the crowd and we were told that Scott Garcia was going to film a video for this tune, while he was there on stage. I was soooooo hyped up. I remember where I was standing in the footage too....unfortunately i cant see myself😆. Aaaah memories.
I remember being at carnival and having a camera on me and having no idea why...just carried on dancing... Some time later I had a few people coming up to me asking if I was in the video... I hadn't even seen it at that point. Glad to have been part of it. 😊

This is what 'My London' is all about. Bus fares were cheap, stores were actually stores, the music was great and had true meaning, people were friendly and so was the radio and dances, tv had family shows, unity in communities, sports were competitive and never involved drama queens diving and flopping and rolling around, people dressed properly, culture was embraced, no random foreigners coming over with bad intentions !! Yep this was 'My London'
Spot on mate. A lot of bad acts we see happening now like that have been brought over to the UK from other Cultures. Still, it's tunes like this that reminds us that there is still the good element around if your mind is fine and you do good. And the same to you brotha, have a strong year ahead
Daniaal Quadi That’s what makes me unsure if he’s referring to all foreigners or just Asians, Eastern Europeans or what. Because this music style, video and era had tons of black culture fused in with it. So whilst his comment had racist vibes I don’t think he’s a white supremist or nothing, just real confused over where his country’s culture and identity is going tbh
Man...Life was so much better. It just was. I swear it all started to go to shit when I got a cell phone and started creeping on that thingy called the world wide interweb
I think the way things are going with 5G and the virus and hackers will bring us back to the best of the old days with what we have learned from these current days. Whatever happens, it will always be a London thing!
I truly agree on the phone part, my life did a fcking 180 when I got a smart phone, the world would probably have been better off without those tings..
True say. Ravers young and old, it's so easy to be an archetypal, jaded, rose-tinted 'good-old-days' grump; the vibes that you lived through in teens and 20s are still out there somewhere, you just have to find them and relive them. Stay young at heart! Look at Matt Lamont, still showing people the way and representing into the 2020s.
Remember exiting ministry of sound at 9am and going round the corner to a small after-party I think called Babushka where I first heard and danced to this track still off my tits on a mitsubishi. So long ago now 😢
Scott Garcia and Wookie are in Burger King; 'Scott, what's that on the floor?' 'Its.. an.. onion.. ring... it's an onion ring." (A joke is only funny once; sorry if old news.)
Reminds me of Camden town 1999, Londoner born and bred but can't stand what it's become, full of foreigners and gangs stabbing each other, my dad and grandad were good old fashioned black cab drivers, they'd be turning in their graves to see what London's like now, thanks for the upload, old skool london.
@@lporquai9048 Black or White, Gangster or Gstar, it's still a London thing. Let's hope the Virus is only a temporary thing. London will be one big party zone once quarantine has been lifted.
Someone has a complex! I have many black friends so it's not a black thing at all, it's the Romanians and eastern Europe and who come over here just to claim benefits and whilst on benefits they work on the side, cheap taxis cheap labourers, putting good honest Londoners out of work so stick your race card where the sun don't shine, people like you are the problem with society today, straight away playing the race card. Their are plenty of lazy English people who sit on benefits as well and I despise them just as much as the lazy immigrants.
