    Hello, how are you joining rows? Is there extra steps which aren't included in the instructions, for example a Slip stitch at the end of each row or is it exactly how the instructions are? Reason I ask is when I get to the end of the green section ready to begin the beige I'm not starting the row in the middle, it's near a corner therefore the square isn't correct. I have the correct stitches in each row. Thanks

    • @LittleCrochetFarm
      @LittleCrochetFarm  2 года назад +1

      Hey Rachel! I don't join the rows!
      The amigurumi is worked by continuous rounds. That's why at the beginning and end of the round I say, "you will work the same repetition until the end, and then start the new round".
      That is how the exact instructions are. You can also see by the written pattern on the website.
      I know some people work amigurumi and join the rounds with a sl, but the problem is, when you join every round with a slip stitch, you are changing the "first stitch" of the round to the next one (I hope this makes sense). If every round you are joining a sl at the end, you are moving one stitch forward round by round. And that is why at the end, your final stitch are in the corner and not in the middle.
      Try to work this pattern with continuous round (without joining with a slip stitch) and let me know how it turns out!

      You can work with a 2mm as well. For this pattern, I used Mondial Lane basic cotton from the shop near my house. Currently I am working with the same quality and thickness yarn, called Catania, I get them from Lovecraft bit.ly/3qlOt4r

    Can i crochet the patterns with Red Heart Super Saver yarn

    • @LittleCrochetFarm
      @LittleCrochetFarm  2 года назад +1

      Yes you can! For the Red heart super saver I would use a bigger needle, some 4mm or 4,5. You can use a smaller needle but the tension will be too much, and the toy will be very hard! Ah, and the size of the finished Elf will be bigger! But I can imagine it will be super cute!

    I have problem about head, since round 19 .
    Could you help me please?
    Round 18 blsl
    So round 19 FL
    3sc+
    2 inc, 3+3=6+
    2sc+
    2inc, 3+3=6+
    5sc+
    2inc, 3+3=6+
    2sc+
    2inc, 3+3=6+
    2sc TOTAL 38 not 26
    Help please!!

    • @LittleCrochetFarm
      @LittleCrochetFarm  2 года назад

      Hello Leslie! I dont understand this 3+3=6 you wrote for all instructions! So lets do it again following this same way you wrote but in a correct way!
      The instructions for the round are:
      19 rnd: FL(3sc, 2 inc, 2sc, 2 inc, 5sc, 2inc, 2sc, 2inc, 2sc) Total 26sts
      This, translating to the way you wrote would be:
      3sc + 2inc, (3+3=6)
      2sc + 2inc, (2+3=5)
      5sc + 2inc, (5+3=8)
      2sc + 2inc, (2+3=5)
      2sc, (2)
      TOTAL = 6+5+8+5+2 = 26
      I hope this can help you! Let me know!!

    I started making the head on the mini elf ornament, but the rectangle ended up going from front to back rather than side to side. I dont know how I went wrong. I followed your directions and my count was always what you had. Please help.

    • @LittleCrochetFarm
      @LittleCrochetFarm  14 дней назад

      Once you start crocheting the head, take a look if your stitch from
      the round is in the same position as mine. If not, change the first stitch of your round to be as close looking to where mine is located. This can help prevent your head yo be in different position!

    • @judykaraus
      @judykaraus 14 дней назад

      When I finished row 20 I can see that it's . Up until then it was fine.moving out of position.

      I would use a 2mm crochet hook but I lost just before starting the video tutorial. That is the reason why I use the 1,75mm. Later, I found my hook holding my hair up.... lol

    Mark 10:50 in video... may need to make a correction to written direction and let it be known that Rnd 12 is where the "Shirt Detail" from the beginning of the video is where this will be crocheted onto the Elf. Having fun with your Mini Xmas collection. I have Santa & Grinch done working on this Elf now and can't wait to do the Reindeer and when you do the Gingerbread Man and Penguin!!!
