    👉 That song was the 4. song in the competition. "The Singer 2017" was not a talent show. Only professional, award-winning singers participate. Dimash had a wildcard for this competition. Nobody knew or heard Dimash before and he had to start first ... and after his first song "SOS" Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 million viewers and a mega-star was born overnight. The next day, bodyguards stood in front of his door.
    Autuumn Strong is very popular in China. The original version (Japanese) based on a true story... very touching: It is about Yoshiko Yamaguchi (*1920-2014), a Chinese-born Japanese actress during World War II. She hid her Japanese heritage under the name Li XIanglan and became famous in China. However, when the war was over and she revealed her identity, she was accused of being a spy. She was deported to Japan and longed for China. Ms. Yamaguchi did not return to China until many years as deputy environment minister in the Japanese parliament.
    In 1993, Jacky Cheung adapted the Japanese song (written 1998) into Chinese Mandarin, calling it Late Autumn. The most famous interpretation In China (first performance at the Singer 2017) was that of Dimash Qudaibergen and it was his first time to sing in Chinese mandarin and is about autumn, farewell, sadness ... but also about accepting the unchangeable.
    This song brought Dimash the 'Best Foreign Singer' award at the Golden Melody Award 2017 (equivalent to the Grammy) in Hong Kong.
    The Chinese (Autumn Strong) and the Japanese version (Ikanaide - written 1998 by Koji Tamaki and Goro Matsui) have totally different lyrics and meanings… and of course Dimash sings both very differently.
    - The Chinese version shows the image of leaves dancing in the autumn wind as a metaphor for how fate affected Yoshiko Yamaguchi's life. ...sad but inevitable and irrevocably
    - The Japanese version does not want to accept the loss, is full of pain, pleads, suffers ... heartbreaking. You should react to “Ikanaide”.
    * Tokyo Jazz Festival 2021 (first performance): Ikanaide/ Please Don’t Go - youtubU33Kge.com/watch?v=X2SDVm
    * Great performance - you must see it (Chinese version) from Kiev 11.03.2020, the last concert before Corona paralyzed everything: ruclips.net/video/437IEsDIZfE/видео.html
    * Performance in Moscow on March, 2019 - ruclips.net/video/kpEcyr6_wTQ/видео.html
    * Vbloggers, they reacted to the original by Koji Tamaki,, they are mesmerized and can't stop listening to him. He wrote many wonderful melodies: Ikanaide - ruclips.net/video/OpgnM2MccCQ/видео.html

    I realize you appear to be going through the entire The Singer 2017 competition but you could take a break here and there to listen to more recent Dimash performances including a very recent guest appearance on The Singer 2024 where he sang a duet with Chante Moore and his premiere of his new song Angel Love both are on his channel. Also, a gorgeous concert version of Autumn Strong at his Arnau concert in Kiev Ukraine in 2020.
    There are many original songs from Dimash that are waiting for you to watch on Dimash's RUclips channel plus fabulous MVs.

    Hi! If you love Dimash, you must check out Forestella, a Korean quartet. They sing all genres from Queen to classical. They have THE BEST cover of Queens’s Bohemian Rapsody I have ever heard. And, try the Korean K-pop group BTS…great singers and dancers.
