This was one of the best and most helpful videos I’ve ever seen on astrology. Everyone seems to skip these fundamental basics. You gave a great demonstration on how the planets move. I’m still confused about how the zodiac signs move. Can you do a video on that.
Thank you, Sarah, for your comment and appreciation! I'm glad to hear my video helped you understand some of the basics of astrology. To your question - if you mean the primary motion (the daily movement of the planets/zodiac across the sky) - Cosmic Watch, the app I use in the video, also has an option for that. Maybe I'll do a video about primary motion in the future, but it won't be soon. Cosmic Watch is a great app, and it isn't expensive. At the moment I'm writing this, it is only 5,99 €. I always recommend having an app like this in your pocket. It is a great tool for studying the astronomy of astrology. ✨
Very nice presentation of watching planets moving days months and years pass. Astrology Lessons become easier to understand complex terms like retrograde... Thanks for creating this.
Thank you for your kind comment! I loved doing this video, and I agree. We are privileged to have technology like Cosmic Watch these days. It makes studying astrology so much easier.
I love these visuals. It clarifies quite a bit. I do still find it confusing to understand how the zodiac remains stable as the earth rotates around its axis. I get that it's the houses that move along with the rotation (in a chart), but what exactly keeps the zodiac stable? Is it just based on the points where the sun is seen on equinoxes/solstices?
Hi Laila, Thanks for your comment! There are two kinds of movement to observe. One is the daily motion of the planets rising, culminating, and setting, called primary motion. The other motion is the slow movement of the planets along the ecliptic through the zodiac, called secondary motion. Cosmic Watch and astrology programs like Planetdance illustrate both movements. In this video you see the planets' secondary motion, meaning their slow journey along the ecliptic (the path of the Sun) through the twelve signs of the zodiac. For that purpose, the zodiac is stable in the animations. In reality, all parts are in constant motion. What moves depends on your point of view. Observed from Earth, the zodiac with the planets moves every day as the Earth spins around its axis. That is how your rising sign and the twelve sectors in your birth chart are determined, as you mentioned already. Cosmic Watch also has an option that shows this daily motion of the zodiac with the planets rising, culminating, and setting. If you forward a chart hour by hour for a while with houses switched on in any astrology program, you'll see both motions at once but it's harder to pick up secondary motion because the entire chart is moving. Did this answer your question?
The lot of spirit, aka daimon, is the distance from the non-sect light to the sect light projected from the ascendant. There's an article in German on my website ("Zwischen Dunkel und Licht - Glückspunkt und Geistespunkt in der Astrologie") where you can find more information on calculations, history, philosophy, and meanings.
If the constellations are just names, then are those names and what they symbolize arbitrary and have no meaning? Like, Scorpion, Fish, Ram, Bull, etc. should we not think of them when interpreting the signs?
Study where the symbolism of the constellations and the signs comes from, and you'll find your answer. Understanding images is a significant part of astrology next to understanding what I am talking about in this video.
Hi Jason, You can get your birth chart for free in several places online. I recommend Astro-Seek. Here is the link to the birth chart calculator: horoscopes.astro-seek.com/birth-chart-horoscope-online. All you need is your birth date, place, and time (as exact as possible). Astro-Seek also provides some general interpretations of certain parts of your birth chart. For an in-depth analysis of what it all means together and to get to know your life cycles, including insights into the time of your awakening, you may want to see an astrologer. I wish you all the best for your journey! ✨

Would anyone be so kind as to define "DAIMON" in relation to the chart? Relatable definitions seem hard to find. Thank you

I agree. Astrology has tremendous significance as the first science of humankind. ✨
This is a simple proof that earth is flat and everything is above it, but
