Dispensational Futurism is the false prophecy system of the end times, and you guys are some of those responsible for promulgating it.
Modern-day Iran has absolutely nothing to do with the Gog/Magog war of Eze. 38-39.
Rev. 20:7-9 CLEARLY tells us when this war takes place, and it's AFTER THE MILLENNIUM! Not before it, during a mythical 7-year period of tribulation (a fallacious teaching taken from a complete misinterpretation of Dan. 9:24-27).
You guys seemingly cannot do simple math regarding the start date for the 70 weeks of Dan. 9:24-27.
Let's do some, real quick.
You guys assert that the 70 weeks (or, rather, 69 weeks/483 years) started with the 2nd decree of Artaxerxes found in Neh. 2 given in 444/445 B.C.; all one has to do is add 483 years to that date and we come to 38/39 A.D., which is WAY TOO LATE for the Triumphal Entry of Christ into Jerusalem (let alone the Crucifixion).
The date and decree you guys pick for the commencement date of Daniel's 70 weeks (or, the 69 weeks, rather; because you guys fallaciously insert a "time gap" between the end of the 69th and the beginning of the 70th weeks, which is nowhere justified in ANY of the time-specific prophecies of Scripture!) is the WRONG DATE AND DECREE FROM ARTAXERXES!
The proper commencement date for the 490 YEARS is the 1st Decree of Artaxerxes in Ezra 7!
Hope you reconsider teaching the false eschatological system of Dispensational Futurism.
Otherwise, you cannot properly identify the Antichrist, or the False Prophet (aka. the "Earth Beast" of Rev. 13:11-17), and you'll be leading God's people astray when the time comes that we must know these things so as to not be deceived.

Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, modern Dispensational Theology falls apart, and the pretrib removal of the Church falls with it.

No human being can repent of their sins, it's impossible. It's only by faith alone, nothing else. What is grace if their is no longer grace?
Repent simply means to be sorry and to turn around and go the opposite way from your sin. You just ask Jesus to help you every day and you 'know' deep down inside what is right and wrong. It's a walk and you just need to trust.

OMG! I remember attending Harvest in Orange County California back in the early 90's. I was a latecomer to Christ and after almost two years of attending a "name it and claim it" church, I moved on to Calvery Chapel in Bellflower CA and it was at that time I started actually receiving Biblical instruction. I also didn't make my full commitment to Jesus Christ until I had been at Bellflower for a little over a year. Harvest was the first time I learned about the roots of Calvary Chapel and, hearing testimony after testimony of several CC pastors was so helpful to me in my walk. There is a gathering but that is not a secret event, besides that Christ came as a lamb the first time but when He returns the second time it will be as a roaring lion. We have been warned that there will come one who will stand in the Holy place and declare He is God, and that is the anti christ. Anti christ comes first and our warning is to be prepared for him and not be found guilty of leaving our First Love when Christ Himself returns.

The key of wisdom to understand the "rapture" in the last days encompasses the perceiving of the watch-times. When one can come to understand why there is no "first" or "fourth" mentioned in Luke 12.38, one will know the hour according to the "rapture" but even much more according to what kind of watch-time/hour the thief comes (Matthew 25.43; Luke 12.38-39). This is why God have these parables for us to perceive such profound truths concerning the last days.

here’s another reason to expect rapture before tribulation along w/ Eze38/39.
we are living in the age of grace, per Paul we’re in the mystery dispensation. Creator would not mix 2 dispensations at the same time. therefore, grace age ends when we, the body of Christ, is raptured. this would allow the next dispensation (things to come/prophecy) to start.

You can't just take a verse and say it means this or that. Babylon means confusion and this is a good example of it. The scripture is of no interpretation of men but was given by holy men of God. It interprets itself. one must compare scripture with scripture and not with the things of this world. We have been hearing about the so-called "last days" for centuries. Aren´t you tired of it by now? The earth world is not coming to an end and there are no "last days" until probably he sun burns out in several million years. First of all "God" did not write the Christian bible, all of the bible was written by Jewish men. They believed and wrote that Jesus would return during THEIR lifetime, look it up!

People have been preaching about the 'last days' for countless generations.
Why are we so divided when it comes to the rapture when scripture actually gives time frames and signs thereto? It seems like we depend more on our opinions than what scripture says, and I can't shake off this feeling that we are obsessed with the idea that the church would be raptured before the first tribulation, which I doubt is the case.
The only reason people have different understandings, as far as I can tell, is because some understand that God sees us perfect in Christ, and others are still looking at their flesh (carnally minded) and know that they need to be punished. The two groups do not do not agree on what the new covenant is. One group says it's all based on faith in Christ's works, and the other group insists in based (at least in some small part) on our own works.
I believe in pretrib rapture because when Christ does return, He is returning from the wedding. The rapture of the Bride must have happened before the wedding. And the wedding must happen before His return if He is returning from the wedding. I will be at that wedding, and that is not based on my flesh, how good I am at not sinning, it's based on a Promise He made (regardless of my sin, sin was never even mentioned when He made the promise. Only my faith in Him was mentioned as a prerequisite).

Since Gog and Magog of Ez 38-39 occurs at the end of Millennium (Rev 20:7-9), is so far in the future, and after so many other events, I would venture a guess that nothing of certainty can be said about today's Iran. Gog and Magog have nothing to do with any events before or at the beginning of the Millennium. It all has to do at the end of the Millennium.

Historically speaking, Magog was a grandson of Noah (Genesis 10:2). The descendants of Magog settled to the far north of Israel, likely in Europe and northern Asia (Ezekiel 38:2). Magog seems to be used to refer to "northern barbarians" in general, but likely also has a connection to Magog the person. The people of Magog are described as skilled warriors (Ezekiel 38:15; 39:3-9).
Gog and Magog appear in Ezekiel 38-39 and in Revelation 20:7-8. While these two passages use the same names, a close study of Scripture clearly demonstrates they do not refer to the same people and events. The events are separated by at least 1,000 years. In Ezekiel’s prophecy, Gog will be the leader of a great army that attacks the land of Israel, which is “peaceful and unsuspecting” at the time (Ezekiel 38:11). Gog is described as “of the land of Magog, the prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal” (Ezekiel 38:2-3). When will Ezekiel’s battle of Gog and Magog occur? There are a couple of theories:
• Before the tribulation begins. This view points to the fact that, after the battle, the people of Israel will be burning the enemy’s weapons for seven years and spend over seven months burying the dead (Ezekiel 39:9-10, 12-16). That length of time most likely requires the battle to be fought before the tribulation, and possibly even before the rapture of the church.
• During the first part of the seven-year tribulation. This view hinges on the fact that Israel is at peace when the attack begins (Ezekiel 38:8, 11). The security Israel enjoys is assumed to be the result of Israel’s covenant with the Antichrist at the beginning of the tribulation, Daniel’s 70th Week (Daniel 9:27a).
According to Ezekiel, Magog will not win. God will intervene to preserve Israel. “There shall be a great earthquake” (Ezekiel 38:19), “every man’s sword will be against his brother” (verse 21), and God “will pour down torrents of rain, hailstones and burning sulfur on [Gog] and on his troops and on the many nations with him” (verse 22). The result is that the nations will see God’s greatness and holiness (verse 23).
Gog and Magog are mentioned again in Revelation 20:7-8. The duplicated use of the names Gog and Magog in Revelation 20:8-9 is to show that these people demonstrate the same rebellion against God and antagonism toward God as those in Ezekiel 38-39. It is similar to someone today calling a person "the devil" because he or she is sinful and evil. We know that person is not really Satan, but because that person shares similar characteristics, he or she might be referred to as "the devil."
The book of Revelation uses Ezekiel’s prophecy about Magog to portray a final end-times attack on the nation of Israel (Revelation 20:8-9). The result of this battle is that all are destroyed, and Satan will find his final place in the lake of fire (Revelation 20:10).
It is important to recognize that the Gog and Magog of Ezekiel 38-39 is quite different from the one in Revelation 20:7-8. Below are some of the more obvious reasons why these refer to different people and battles.
1. In the battle of Ezekiel 38-39, the armies come primarily from the north and involve only a few nations of the earth (Ezekiel 38:6, 15; 39:2). The battle in Revelation 20:7-9 will involve all nations, so armies will come from all directions, not just from the north.
2. There is no mention of Satan in the context of Ezekiel 38-39. In Revelation 20:7 the context clearly places the battle at the end of the millennium with Satan as the primary character.
3. Ezekiel 39:11-12 states that the dead will be buried for seven months. There would be no need to bury the dead if the battle in Ezekiel 38-39 is the one described in Revelation 20:8-9, for immediately following Revelation 20:8-9 is the Great White Throne judgment (20:11-15) and then the present heaven and earth are destroyed, replaced by a new heaven and earth (Revelation 21:1). There obviously will be a need to bury the dead if the battle takes place before or in the early part of the tribulation, for the land of Israel will be occupied for another 1,000 years, the length of the millennial kingdom (Revelation 20:4-6).
4. The battle in Ezekiel 38-39 is used by God to bring Israel back to Him (Ezekiel 39:21-29). In Revelation 20, Israel has been faithful to God for 1,000 years (the millennial kingdom). Those in Revelation 20:7-10 who are rebellious are destroyed without any more opportunity for repentance.

The Bible says Christ's second coming and the rapture will be like a thief in the night. It will be during a time of relative global prosperity and comfort. The time we are in now is better for most around the world than in previous era's. We have also not had a major war with the world powers in over 75 years. This is unusual in the course of human history.

Ezekiel 38 talks about a person named Gog from the land of Magog. The Prince (Head) off Tubal and Meshech. "Rosh" doesn't mean Russia, it means Head as in Rosh Hashanah...Head of the Year
Magog, Meshech and Tubal are all in modern day Turkey. (The best translation for this is the message Bible)
Before the battle in Ezekiel we will see the Ram and the Goat battle in Daniel 8 where Turkey invades Iran...Probably by air to avoid sending convoys through Syria whose sovereignty they will respect for a little while. Turkey wants to rebuild the Ottoman Empire which includes Egypt & Libya (war of the kings of the north and south)
In Matt 24:15 Jesus said "when YOU SEE the abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" this will be followed by v21 "then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened."
Why would they be shortened for the sake of the elect if we are all safe in heaven?
We, the elect, will be on earth during the great tribulation, evangelizing the confused unsaved and many of us will be killed for our efforts (not looking forward to that bit)
After a time, times and half a time, the last trumpet will sound and we will be caught up with the dead in Christ to meet him in the air.
If you teach that the rapture will occur before the tribulation, many will lose their faith out of disappointment, just like the Thessalonians in 2Thess. Better to teach a post tribulation rapture and be wrong than that other way around. After all, it's not about being right or wrong, it's about helping people get through a really tough time with their love of the Lord intact
Magog is the winter sun and Gog is the summer sun. Gog sleeps on an iron bed (winter) and is awakened as the sun nears the spring equinox. Daniel is Aries, Shadrach is Taurus, Meshach is Gemini, and Abednego is Cancer. These four are the spring constellations when the year is divided into three seasons.
@Julian Clarke you should try reading the Bible without reading into it. If you take God's word as is written, it makes a lot more sense
