    I watched a couple of your videos and it made me kinda sad to see so little classics. So i was very happy to find this video :) i have to recommand you some more silent horror though! First of all take a look at Georges Méliès' work! Obviously this is from before there even was the concept of genre in cinema, but he has lot of shorts with skeletons, floating heads and so on :) from the german expressionist era i have to recommand faust, waxworks and the man who laughs (which is techincally a universal movie but it was directed by paul leni who did german expressionist movies and you can definitely see the influence in the man who laughs) there's also some amazing scandinavian horror movies from that time period: haxan, the phantom carriage and vampyr (which is not technically a silent movie but there's very little dialogue and it has the silent era camerawork, so to me it's a silent film in spirit lets say :))

      Wow, thank you so much for the recommendations! I’ll definitely look into them. I have seen Vampyr and Haxan. Love those films. Very haunting films.

      @@slashincaptain4297 np, i adore silent horror cinema :) the 20's and the 80's are my personal top fav decades for horror movies. Btw, i took some notes from this video and just watched the brain that wouldn't die, i had a blast with it :)

    What do you mean by sleeper hit? Is that like your way of saying that it's a top notch movie, or does it mean like it's a slow burn kind of watch? Could be wrong but was just curious. Great video. I love older movies. I've always been a dude to watch older movies, because I love seeing how film was when cinema first became a thing, to how it's evolved over the last hundred ish years.

      To me, “sleeper hit” pretty much means underrated. I’m not sure which film/films I said that about so I can’t elaborate too much haha

    I know I'm kinda late to the party; but what would be the best way to try and start collecting these ? Where do u usually buy your horror blu Ray's from, because ebay seems so pricey for everything. Great Video!!!!

    • @slashincaptain4297
      @slashincaptain4297  3 года назад +1

      Thankfully, I have a lot of places near by that are like a “buy, sell, trade” type of thing and they always have good prices. Amazon also has amazing sales somewhat often

    How did you decide between DVD and blu-ray collecting.

      They were available at Best Buy a long while ago. If you look up “spinning movie tower” on Amazon, there’s a couple of options.
