That looks beautiful. I love the look of marble, that’s what it looks like to me.
Thank you. Yes I love them. A gorgeous look
Wow these look amazing! I always look up everything you show it is cheaper the the jesmonite, I learn so much from you even math class with the metric system used in your country. They started to teach us when I was younger in school but never followed through. It is a lot easier the world to be on the same metric system as others. I will definitely be trying this. I can’t wait till you show the candle molds.
I did try cement once before it’s difficult getting the right kind cause we have so many different kinds in our hardware stores. You are a great lady teaching the world something different.
Oh thank you that’s so nice to hear. I really do try to share and help others. It’s a wonderful product so give it a go.
These look great!
Fun! Reminds me of ceramics class!😁 I can't wait to see your David candle!
Thank you. I used to do ceramics classes in my 20s and loved it
They look great Rhonda
Thank you
These looks great! Please could you put the youtube video link for the lady you mentioned.
opps sorry i sure will
Hi! Another great video 👍
Is there a good sealer that can give Hydrostone a smooth glossy finish?
Yes castmonite gloss.
They still use hydro stone for tobacco and marijuana it’s made in a small disk once dry and Fred you soak the hydro stone disk in distilled water for 5 mins remove from water pat dry and drop into your air tight container to rehydrate. Dry tobacco /herb
Well thats so interesting. Thanks for sharing
Can you use this to make candle vessels
Yes you can. I’ve shown videos using this
@@NelsonInteriorSoapery okay thanks iv probably seen but I’ll check again thanks
Hi love your videos jut wondering what you seal the hydrostone with .
I use a sealer called castmonite that’s water based and non toxic
Looks great Rhonda ❤️ how strong is it with the earrings? Like do they snap in half or anything? Thanks for the video. ☺️
It’s like ceramic. After 3 days it’s very tough and a week it’s better
Hi! Thanks SO much for this video. So I want to be sure I understood the ratios.. 3 parts PRODUCT to 1 part WATER? Is that right? Or is it 3 parts water to 1 part product?
Hydrostone is 3 parts hydrostone powder and 1 part water. I will do another video soon
Barnes NZ took 7 days to ship from one side of Auckland to the other lol.Not great service over here
Yes they do take a while but if anythings wrong the fix and replace for you so im ok with waiting
How do you know how much product to use to how much water?
Hydrostone is a mix of 1 part water and 3 parts powder so thats 300 grams hydrostone powder and 100g water
@@NelsonInteriorSoapery oh yes I know but I meant for the mold. How do you make it so there’s enough or not too much wastage other than eyeballing? I’ve had a hard time with hydrastone as 3:1 seems so thick it doesn’t seem runny like yours at all
@@Ephatas yes mine is the 3/1 but runny so not sure
I notice you are not wearing and do not mention a mask/respirator. Might be worth mentioning as, while hydrostone is great, it does contain carcinogenic products that you don't want to inhale.
Great point
