Bleach TYBW Episode 33 is a massive success - not only is the new battle between Uryū and Renji amazing, but so is just about everything else on display here! What was your favourite moment from the episode? How did you feel seeing Lille snipe so many Gotei 13 officers? Let me know your thoughts - thanks everyone!
Was just thinking you have a lot of hypothetical bankai videos. Got me thinking brave souls hasn't given ikkaku a proper beyond bankai.... Could be a good theory video idea. I'd definitely like to see it.
24:50 what if the portal Haschwalth is standing by is a portal to the primordial world of the Soul King? The place where Reio split the worlds, with all the water.
Ohhh... that "portal." I wonder if that's another tie in with other material. I like your idea that it could be used to glimpse memories...especially since they seemingly made Memories of Noone cannon by mentioning the valley of screams. Could it be some kind of modified Sheninju designed to "capture" memories as people die? I mean Yhwach ability to learn and absorb powers from people he's directly bestowed them on is limited by the fact he must bestow it in person to take it back. What if this thing does that, but without needing to have any interaction or them needing to be Quincy at all to trap those memories and abilities? It would certainly be a dangerous tool...and remember that Yhwach was kinda counting on the fact killing the Soul King was gonna combine the world's thus kill alot of people, Hollows and Soul Reapers...so if this thing does trap memories and abilities like the Sheninju did, imagine what kind of added power it would bestow on its user after all that death. I mean it makes sense and seems like something Yhwach would do. The only other theory I could think of is, it is a portal...But not to any of the world's that should of been combined. I mean had that plan worked out the sun gate would of been enough to travel almost anywhere. Except...to Hell! Could it be a makeshift hell portal? Is that why at the end of the Manga we see Yhwach power surround Kazui, the one kid that unknowingly opened hell gates and was sending souls there??? Could it be foreshadowing of the Arc that must not be named... well see!
Tommo, any thoughts about Yhwach's roll call? He's calling out everyone's full name but Uryu's, and it's quite bothering me. Granted we the audience need the names more than the characters there, or is there something I missed?
The next one to surprise the fandom will be Bazz B he fought Bankai Renji and Shikai Rukia in a 2 v 1 and survived. so whatever feats he will pull against Jugram just remember hes already power nerfed by the Aushwalen.
There was this theory I saw on twitter that what jugram was standing in front of was the sun gate and he chose which sternritters teleported where. Askin to ichigos friends because of his poison ability, Lille (the elite guard leader) to the gotei, Gerard to no one (to protect the palace) and Uryu to his friend to test him again, which is essentially why we see him watching uryus fight after the sun gate scene is revealed
Makes sense to me... I'd always assumed that the bright orb looking thing was the Sun Gate when we first saw it in the trailer, maybe it's the energy source that powers the gate?
Personally, I think that it is an egg in a sense. There is a reason that YW is not destroying the Shinigami himself. I think that reason is he’s busy using all of his energy to create the New World and that weird sphere thing is where Y2 is actually focusing his power right now. This would make sense as to why we see Jugram guarding it.
Isane is alive, what do you mean? Shes the captain of squad 4 going forward and we see her shot by Lille. Her fate is undetermined at most… Edit: I get what you mean. Tommo said it too. Hanataro was the only squad 4 member left going forward in Wahrwelt 😅
@@alexmartin3143 She’ll have the Reishi~Ball inserted into her to revive her and the others like Senjumaru did to Nimaiya when he was One Shot by Lille Barro in Cour 2.. Just post Ywach Fight 😅
14:49 This is completely in line with how Grimmjow would act. If he would have ran off with the others after Ichigo said 'lets go' then that would have been out of character for him.
Something ive noticed after rewatching the episode is that renjis tatoo disappears when he summons zabimaru it was soo metal maybe he can also summon the snake on his other arm or both from the tatoos
Now that the first half of the 3rd cour is over, I can say with confidence that so far this is the best cour of all three. A huge amount of new content, action, battles, drawing, animation, soundtrack... all this is done at a fantastic level 💥🔥⚡️
Yhwach only can Uryu by his full name 2 times... >Uryu become a Sternritter >Uryu choose as The Sucessor Btw, Yhwach (anime version) probably see Uryu as son and more close than every other Quincy even Haschwalth.
@16:55 I think people are bringing this up a lot because the same week, the new episode of Dragonball Daima had a comedic scene where Goku had to go and didn’t wash his hands after. The fact that Zaraki did here just made for a funny online conversation piece haha.
That was my comment he was calling out. I thought it was funny. But let be real, seeing Zaraki washing his hands is just hilarious imagery for that situation. I wasn’t implying he’s a nasty freak that wouldn’t wash his hands but rather the fact that seeing him standing there drying off his hands while about to miss his chance at entering the Royal Palace was just comically random as hell 😂
Yes! Been waiting on this review to listen and watch while running some errands. What an episode this was hinted by the intro. Renji is getting the respect he deserves. I can only hope we get the same amount of new extended scenes for the other set ups.
My Theory on Uryu vs Ichigo was that Uryu only wanted to convince Hashy boy, so Uryu took advantage of the situation and got back at Ichigo by hurting him the same way Vasto Lorde ichigo did. Also in his fight vs Renji, both definitely sold the fight. You can read between the lines at the start of their fight that they both understood they had to give a good show. Had Uryu been serious in both fights he would have used Antithesis instead of his fake Voltstandig. Senjumaru may have also known since we never got into more detail of what the quincy cross meant for Uryu during his experience in Senjumaru's bankai and will probably be mentioned in a form of a flashback when he uses the arrow on Juha or during his fight with Hashwalt.
While I absolutely loved this episode, I'm getting really fed up with Bleach showing characters being struck by mortal blows, only to have them survive off-screen. All of these snipes from Lile should have been kill-shots, and for these low-level Shinigami bounce back from having holes blown through their chests is a little silly. This is my biggest gripe with Bleach: the good guys survive stuff they really should not be coming back from all the time. I get that they are superpowered samurai spirits, but it would have been nice if Bleach remained a bit more consistent with what constitutes a mortal injury. It is no longer shocking to see someone getting a hole blasted in their chest because you know countless other characters recovered just fine from it. I wanna be clear here, I don't WANT these characters to die, Hisagi is one of my favorite characters, I just want Bleach to treat mortal injuries with a bit more respect. Characters cheating death a few times is fine, but having it happen so consistently takes away from the severity of such scenes. That being said, the Lile snipes were really well animated and it was a really cool scene, but imagine how much more impactful it would have been if such injuries would always lead to certain death.
@@ahmadjohan6571 nah he's got a point. Byakuya should be dead. Uryu shouldn't have been able to tank the move that killed Mask de Masculine (at least not without using Antithesis). These are valid criticisms.
@@vilelucaYes and no with your comment. Byakuya should have died, this should have been the fuel rukia needed to get her bankai. As for renji, In my opinion renji isn’t more powerful than uryu. Uryu didn’t defeat renji with anti-thesis but with vollstanding which is the equivalent of a shinigami bankai. Uryu wasn’t going to die because he is a captain level character that can use blut vene which acts as their version of hierro from the espadas. People said that Renji was holding back but Uryu is also holding back significantly as well, remember he isn’t trying to kill anyone.
There are six episodes to go. There are three events left in the cour: "Baby, Hold Your Hand", "The Theater Suicide", and "Friends". I feel greedy hoping for more. All I would ask for is more from the Ishida family, especially Soken. Maybe there is an Ishida in Yhwach original army and we learned why the family defected.
I mean, there's still another cour 13(?) episodes for Askin, Gerard, Jugram and Yhwach. If they want to expand a bit more on the past of the quincy, Yhwach and/or the Soul King, they will probably be able to spare some time then
I hope mayuri’s new bankai got a better showing here. Because to me it’s kinda ridiculous that mayuri’s bankai never did anything everytime it’s used, even if mayuri end up winning the fight, it’s never thanks to his bankai
I think the reason why they changed Bazz B and the girls from using the gate of the sun to the shadows is bc it really doesn’t make any sense if they use a sun gate here. Think about it, if they had a sun gate the entire time then they wouldn’t need the Gotei to transport to the royal palace in the first place. Ishin and Ryuken are able to enter the royal palace or now Wahrwelt because they had access to a gate of the sun.
Makes perfect sense for him to shoot Hisagi first, he is the most capable of the lower ranks and Lilie can fully surprise them only once so "killing him" before the rest of the fodder works imo Oh to clarify i think visards renji and rukia are higher then them
Regarding being shot in the middle of the chest, that's uh, not where the heart is. It's offset to the left. Admittedly a hole that big could easily take a chunk out of the right side of the heart, but it could just as easily only graze past it.
Yuha made a kingdom for a new world, Tommo. Just cause there's barely any people now doesn't mean there won't be in the future, he's building in advance.
@@tyforestreacts 1. Ichigo vs Yhwach pt 2 2. Senjumaru vs Uryu/Schutzstaffel 3. Ichigo vs Uryu 4. Renji vs Uryu 5. Ganju/Orihime/Chad vs. schutzstaffel
Of course, Hanataro sided with Kenpachi, Ikkaku, and Yumichika. Show of hands; would you rather be accidentally killed (quickly) by Kenpachi? 🤚🏽 Or Accidentally poisoned and experimented on by Mayuri?
I can imagine (keeping in mind I don't remember much about the manga), that maybe Soi Fon will use her Bankai to force Lille to reposition (and then likely get taken out herself), and give someone else some time to stabilize the fallen soldiers. Maybe Isane has a bankai ability that lets her recover her own wounds and she can then save the others? Just some speculation that probably will amount to nothing.
Interesting fact : IF you look at the scene where uryu shot renji slow down, you can tell that Uryu used his shrift to transport the arrow to Renji's back instead of blowing a hole through his chest. People will certainly say i am crazy but i'd just say : Look over it again. The arrow only makes a wound from the back. You can see the arrow disappear as it passes through that ring, and then come out of Renji's back. There ain't no sign of blood on the chest at the end, if you watch that part with the slowest speed possible.
Yeah. He drained Renji of his reiatsu so that it would “appear” that he killed him. Everyone will sense his reiatsu drop, and from an outside perspective it would seem like he killed him, but I suspect at some point Renji will wake up and realize Uryu spared him when he had him dead to rights and come to the realization that Uryu must be playing double agent.
@DFTNSHEXGRM not really bro You ain't in Naruto verse here. Bleach char. Can not die because of weak quantity of SP. Unlike in Naruto where a huge loss of Chakra can kill someone But i like your idea more
@@Leo-ee1is I think they are saying since his Reiatsu wont be detectable due to being all drained that it will appear dead so long as he makes a fatal looking shot since he will appear dead to anyone from afar, yes you cannot die from loss of SP but you CAN be sensed alive even if badly wounded if you do not know how to hide your SP like Soi Fon or Yoruichi can.
I don't know how they'd fit it, but I'd love a short scene of Isane using Itegumo to creep her healing ice over the fallen squad members. Would give her some gas for being captain later on. Can't wait for Pernida on saturday!
This actually changes the beginning of the Bazz-B Haschwalth fight. In he manga, Haschwalth was shocked and worried to learn Uryu was deployed on his own and not being supervised, even asking a Quincy to keep an eye on him and report to him about anything he does....only for that Quincy to be immediately killed by Bazz-B. Now, in the anime, he already knows Uryu is on his own, fighting.
It was bound to happen since cour 1 when we see that Haschwalth himself is the one to recruit Uryu to Sternritter and their relationship in anime is totally opposite to their manga version. Don't mention that probably Yhwach could have killed this fodder character during the Aushwallen against Squad 0
You can get around zabimaru becoming a fire zanpakto when we remember it was withholding its true name. Kind of like how yumachika's zanpakto doesn't reveal its nature when he calls it the wrong name. Although honestly I think its to better cement him and rukia thematically as fire and ice, just like ichigo and orahime are a sword and shield respectively in their themeing
Barro sniping away at the Shinigami reminds me of the opening to Commandos Strike Force, with Hawkins the team sniper just aiming and firing, one after the other. And you can bet Barro would flourish in such an environment as he is here.
This was my favorite episode of the series (so far, there is so much more happening that I'm excited for!). The introduction of the episode was perfect, followed by the humor of Mayuri/Kenpachi and Askin/Grimmjow, then the horror of Lille's sniping, and then the Renji vs Uryu fight which might be my favorite one of the series!
I’m a manga reader and my brother is an anime only. I LOVE the moments that are new to both of us, and this uryuu vs renji fight had us GOIN CRAZY😭😭 BLEACH FANS ARE EATING 🤌🏾
Tom don't forget, Hachi is a healer too. So he can help out. I'm also curious what Soifon and Mashiro are going to get since they are OK for now. Pernida going to be CGI, but since they been going good with it, I feel like Pernida will look good. I'm the same the next episode should stop where Mayuri actives his Banaki and devours Pernida. Though I question if they fight will change a bit so we can get Peridna's Vollstandig too. So 34 and 35 will be Pernida, 36 and 37 be Lillle, and I'm called 38 and 39 will be the Season Finally with Haschwalth and Bazz-B, but I want the SternRitter flashback show us as many of the SternRitters we seen killed get some of the spot light again reveal more of their past too.
We definitely are getting the vollstandig, Pernida was the only schutzstaffel to not get one and they already showed a preview of it in the Royal Palace fight
51:00 When Uryu uses his holy form against Ichigo, you can see him absorbing the reshi around him into the column of light, implying he's using sklaverai (I totally butchered that) where as when he initially releases it in his fight against Renji, it's just the column with no particles being absorbed into it.
9:40 I believe it shows that Pernida is holding a quincy cross between two of his fingers or that he has the possibility to summon one at will. I don't think it's eye related.
Tommo keeps mentioning how ridiculous it is to have a handful populate a whole city, but the idea probably is that Ywhach is always capable of creating more quincies😂
I love the theory of Uryu using the antithesis to "bank" up fatal injuries on characters like Renji and Ichigo to then use in a future fight. That's actually kinda brilliant if he can use his power like that. Imagine if the shot at Renji had that "circle" targeting reticle to indicate he planned on swapping it with someone in the future, who eventually ends up being Yhwach and the still silver arrow.
The title sequence this ep with the music kinda felt like the avengers especially since there are so many groups up top now. Also what if shunsui is playing 5d chess and is already doing the shadow clone thing he does in the lille fight but with the gotei 13 probably not just thought of it.
I'm still convinced that the portal thing Haschwalth is looking at is some sort of rift to Hell. It would just make sense for Yhwach to already start preparing for an inevitable war against Hell as soon as the three worlds collapse. Plus it's probably a good idea to start planting the seeds for the Hell arc, now that we're past the half way point of the TYBW.
I agree with you and I hope your right. Off 🎩🔝 🔝🎩 topic think Lilith or Bezzalbub or Bathome exist. Think Lucifer or Satan like a bleach equivalent of it .
For a fight that Kubo put in mostly to fill in time, they did not hold back. They did both Renji and Uryu justice. I’m glad we finally get to expand on their abilities, and I love how this fight makes one remember their fight in the very first fight and their fight together against szayel Aporro Looking forward to Pernida and Lille’s battles 😍 If Isane is still conscious despite that shot, she could potentially heal them, maybe even use her Zanpakuto. And Hanataro being there could also be a good showing of his zanpakuto’s ability
12:09 I think it makes sense for them to cut out the sun key if they really want Ishida to look like he’s changed sides 14:07 It should actually work like that since Yhwach rebuilt the entire Royal Palace using pieces of the city that overtook the seireitei
The shadow seems to have not much limit on where it can transport things to. If you recall the old man zangetsu used the Quincy shadow to physically transport Ichigo to his inner world.
Gate of the Sun could also make people watching think about Mayuri, who is dressed in a sun-shaped fit, who opened a gate. That is why they did not mention the device in the episode, because it has double meaning.
Regarding the scene of the Schutstaffel showing their crosses, for Askinn specifically i think this was a scene of subtle foreshadowing to his dialogue with Kisuke, Whilst the others are dedicated to the quincy cause (save for uryu) he is more dedicated to the idea of seeing what the new world is gonna look like, rather than blind devotion to Ywach which i think is symbolised by him being the only one to seemingly not give a shit about his cross and just adjusting his hair rather than displaying a symbol of devotion to Ywach.
I always sort of envisioned the Gate of the Sun used the shadows as a Recall from anywhere to the Silbern of a quincy used the Suns Key. To travel to anywhere specific from gate to gate they'd need to then use the gate and a key to go specifically to a place in the suns gate network. The episode sort of supported this even when they commented that it took them close to the Silbern, meaning the "home" gate they teleport to from the shadows wasn't moved as far as they'd have expected.
i brought this up in another video of yours. but your still frame at 38:46 just a few frames after, you see a flash in Uryu's chest, I think of him activating his Antithesis, that somehow will alter the damage to Renji after the fact, for him to survive.
Season will probably end with Ichigo vs Uryu Round 2 Edit: as many times as you have rewatched the fight, you definitely missed the part where the blade retracts before he grabs onto a rock
I wouldn't be surprised if the term Schutzstaffel itself is never spoken, but there was a title card in cour two, I think episode 24 that included a card titled "SS" and explained they were Yhwach's guard
Just a note, 'cause you've mentioned it a few times, but I think in Uryu's battle against Ichigo, it is implied he used Sklaverei to power up his Voll Stern Dich (maybe in the cross itself) in that battle, because you can see reiatsu being pulled from nearby into the cross. But in this episode when the cross appears to reveal Uryu's base form, spirit energy is not being pulled in.
58:59 if you look closely frame by frame you can see that the blackhole type of thing in renji's chest is actually antithesis, the arrow that uryu shot vanishes when it enters in that chest hole and passes out from another hole from the back or something like this
~ 47:26 he retracted the blade. he did this so that he could use it in the way that he does: as an extension of his own hand. to hold him in place, rather than impaling him.
I think for the quincies using shadows to travel in Wahrwelt, we've also seen Yhwa use them to summon Nianzol and foot soldiers when he arrived. Plus, when all the buildings were pulled up from below, it's possible that also lets them use shadows to travel if they're linked to that somehow. In any case, it's just cool to see the anime showing off abilities like this, or Blut, which kind of got forgotten after the 1st invasion.
my first thought when I saw that white outline on Renji’s torso before Uryu’s arrow hit was that it looked like he was targeting his saketsu and hakusui (binding chain and soul sleep). i’m sure this is a reach and there are plenty of other feasible explanations, but i couldn’t get byakuya’s speech to ichigo at the very beginning of the series about how striking these ‘pressure points’ will seal off a shinigami’s power out of my head. my best guess if this is true is Uryu may have aimed for these points in order to make Renji appear dead or imperceptible to anyone else seeking out his spiritual pressure. besides ichigo who’s obviously a special case, there hasn’t really been further mention of the saketsu or hakusui or whether or not regular shinigami can regain their powers after having them sealed in this manner (though i’m sure with mayuri’s advanced technology and his time in the royal palace renji won’t be down and out for long.)
30:50 this whole sequence is very reminiscent to world War 2 movies that involve sniper scenes like Saving Private Ryan or even swindlers list. Lille gives of real Amon Goeth vibes
The Royal Palace had a city per person (I still think the others that lived in/protected those cities & served the Royal Guard were artificial souls, Zanpakuto spirits, or something along those lines), so a massive city for a handful of Quincy is in line with that. Also, Yhwach brought Soldat to attack the Palace, so maybe he saved enough/can make enough to populate it if he'd won the war. Uryu & Renji's fight could be seen as a parallel to the Friends fight, with one cool Emperor candidate vs a hot-headed former friend. Wahrwelt took the physical place of the Royal Palace, meaning it's not part of the Wandenreich pocket dimension but rather part of the Soul Society's world. If the shadows only allow for interdimensional travel, it still works, though it's hard to say what would be left after the buildings had overtaken the Seireitei (maybe Bazz-B & co. get to tour an otherwise empty Seireitei, similar to how the Fake Karakura Town switched with the real one, leaving the real one in the outskirts)
Reversing the ending is such a clever detail. I still think his Voll sterndig is called something like "Opposition of God" because antithesis means opposition
I think that was cool that Yhwach refer to Uryu by only his first name. Show more if their relationship as King & Prince. Haschwalth Vs Bazz B is gonna really be the finale of Cour 3... I can't wait for the flashback and battle of course. Gerard, Askin, Pernida & Lille are such cool characters. Quincies are just badass! About the fight... all I can see is that Uryu was still holding back and I still don't believe that is Uryu's Vollständing real version and he probably have others levels like Lille & Gerard possess. That Uryu's line about kill Ichigo mean that the rematch is gonna happen when they meet again. I still want to know how Uryu survive Aushwallen, Antithesis, Red Eyes during Yhwach's awakening & the strange Blut pattern on his right hand against Senjumaru and if his Vollständing name, a possible halo too, energy flow from his heart during the battle against Shutara
58:50 You didn’t touch on a theory that I’ve seen some other people throw out that Uryu was targeting Renji’s Soul Chain and/or Soul Sleep (Saketsu and Hakusui), removing his Shinigami powers Apparently a similar white circle showed up when Uryu did it to Jirobo earlier in the series
I'm glad they're setting that up a lot more because speed-readers have been complaining about the Still Silver arrow for eons despite it mechanically being something we've seen plenty of times.
Love the recap here! One comment I want to make is that I love how the anime does show Lille sniping down more people, however I think it’s strange that Kyōraku let Isane run after Kiyone. Understanding that’s her sister, wouldn’t Kyōraku have tried stopping her since she is technically the best healer in the Gotei 13 now that Unohana is dead? Are there others that feel the same way? Especially since now the only “ healers” survived that can do anything that I can think of are Orihime, Hanatarō, and Mayuri.
Iirc, Yuha called group as Shutzstaffel in 1st episode of royal palace invasion. As of Zabimaru going in to fire type, or, explosion type to be precise, remember that zanpakuto can change types from shikai to bankai, Soi Fon going from poison to explosion, Gin from some weird melee to poison, Kensei from wind to explosion, etc.
Well of course Kenpachi washes his hands. Kenpachi kills anything that poses any level he possibly can. Why wouldn’t he kill germs then? Completely within character
It still tickles me how 15 yrs later after watching bleach online every Tuesday or Thurs (Naruto was on one of those days but bleach is the other, forgot which is which) seeing the War is insane also the Bretha sof hell to boot.
When Uryu pulls out his sklaverai move, what you called reishi drones looks to me like a deck of cards. Which he then deals them out in a row in front of him like a blackjack dealer or something.
In regards to Zabimaru's potential new "typing", being Explosive or Fire, I think the most appropriate way to interpret it would be control over "Heat" - mainly because I think that creates a very nice parallel with Rukia's zanpakuto and its control over "Cold". We see the blade from the snake's mouth heat up rapidly, and perhaps his action of spinning the large whip snake around is a method of building up heat. That's my idea!
I wanna love the sniping scene, but seeing so many of the same characters getting trashed again just feels too typical. And this was the final nail in the coffin for any new Isane content, or at least content that isn’t her getting shafted like usual.
thinking about it Isane getting snipped here is pretty lame considering this would've been a great opportunity to build her up since she becomes captain later on
I would like a scene of Isane healing her wounds (maybe showing a potential healing ability of her zanpakto) and then saving her sister and the rest of those shot nearby. This would atleast show why she is fit to be a captain and allow her to have a simple way to give her something more than being cannon fodder.
15:00 Grimjow is waiting around because he doesn’t want to take orders from ichigo, as ichigo is the one that told them to head out and in the last episode they made it clear grimjow wasn’t on their team. It’s supposed to be a little bit of comedy on the arrogance and pride of grimjow

Right. He doesn't like taking orders, especially from humans.
Something ive noticed after rewatching the episode is that renjis tatoo disappears when he summons zabimaru it was soo metal maybe he can also summon the snake on his other arm or both from the tatoos
Wow! Nice catch! I didn't even notice
Now that the first half of the 3rd cour is over, I can say with confidence that so far this is the best cour of all three.
A huge amount of new content, action, battles, drawing, animation, soundtrack... all this is done at a fantastic level 💥🔥⚡️
Not calling Uryu in his full name might be mean that Yhwach despise the Ishida family like Soken for wanting to coexist with Soul Reapers.
I think it could also mean yhwach respects uryu and he wants him to be successor. And to be leader you only need one name. Similar to yhwach himself
@@rayvonvelez3129 agreed.
@rayvonvelez3129 I definitely agree
Yhwach only can Uryu by his full name 2 times...
>Uryu become a Sternritter
>Uryu choose as The Sucessor
Btw, Yhwach (anime version) probably see Uryu as son and more close than every other Quincy even Haschwalth.
Mayuri this week, we’re so back..
@16:55 I think people are bringing this up a lot because the same week, the new episode of Dragonball Daima had a comedic scene where Goku had to go and didn’t wash his hands after. The fact that Zaraki did here just made for a funny online conversation piece haha.
Zaraki is more civilized than Goku, confirmed.
Dude rocked his sharpest look so far for this episode analysis.
Here we go !
Yes! Been waiting on this review to listen and watch while running some errands. What an episode this was hinted by the intro. Renji is getting the respect he deserves. I can only hope we get the same amount of new extended scenes for the other set ups.
Renji stand tall, you fought well.
I grant you the Letter R, Respectable
Renji cooked im glad they gave renji a role in this episode as a proud renji fan i can say renji solos alot of sternritter
Uryu is the new Ulquiorra with all these holes man. You can say Lille Barro as well, but he isn't a big topic yet...
He's a donut lover what can I say 😂
Quality comment
Spade #4 is my 2nd favorite behind Aizen
That being said, the Lile snipes were really well animated and it was a really cool scene, but imagine how much more impactful it would have been if such injuries would always lead to certain death.
they are spirits.
@@porcin3proph3t4 they're also able to reproduce so Some level of biological logic must be at play.
dude u just yapping
Ichigo: Zangetsu, lend me some strength. This is Askin Nakk Le Vaar high on caffeine we are dealing with.
Askin Nakk Le Vaar became the new base Lucci
@@kampfsocke25Base Askin is older than Base Lucci...
Thanks for acknowledging my handwashing comment Tommo 😂
There are six episodes to go. There are three events left in the cour: "Baby, Hold Your Hand", "The Theater Suicide", and "Friends". I feel greedy hoping for more. All I would ask for is more from the Ishida family, especially Soken. Maybe there is an Ishida in Yhwach original army and we learned why the family defected.
Seems like it will be 2-2-2 right?
I mean, there's still another cour
13(?) episodes for Askin, Gerard, Jugram and Yhwach.
At least from Uryu's POV, Renji absolutely is one of his best friends as is the whole main group, He mentions It in his battle with Haschwalth.
Makes perfect sense for him to shoot Hisagi first, he is the most capable of the lower ranks and Lilie can fully surprise them only once so "killing him" before the rest of the fodder works imo
Oh to clarify i think visards renji and rukia are higher then them
Regarding being shot in the middle of the chest, that's uh, not where the heart is.

Show of hands;
would you rather be accidentally killed (quickly) by Kenpachi? 🤚🏽
Or
Accidentally poisoned and experimented on by Mayuri?
Thats easy right?
33:25 Everyone always thinks of the organs (heart, lungs etc.), no one realizes that missing a chunk of your upper spine is guaranteed death.
Or paralysis
I can imagine (keeping in mind I don't remember much about the manga), that maybe Soi Fon will use her Bankai to force Lille to reposition (and then likely get taken out herself), and give someone else some time to stabilize the fallen soldiers. Maybe Isane has a bankai ability that lets her recover her own wounds and she can then save the others? Just some speculation that probably will amount to nothing.
Interesting fact :
IF you look at the scene where uryu shot renji slow down, you can tell that Uryu used his shrift to transport the arrow to Renji's back instead of blowing a hole through his chest.
People will certainly say i am crazy but i'd just say :
Look over it again.
@DFTNSHEXGRM not really bro
You ain't in Naruto verse here.
Bleach char. Can not die because of weak quantity of SP.
Unlike in Naruto where a huge loss of Chakra can kill someone
But i like your idea more
@@Leo-ee1is I think they are saying since his Reiatsu wont be detectable due to being all drained that it will appear dead so long as he makes a fatal looking shot since he will appear dead to anyone from afar, yes you cannot die from loss of SP but you CAN be sensed alive even if badly wounded if you do not know how to hide your SP like Soi Fon or Yoruichi can.
Pulled a muscle reaching so far…
49:43 These church bells are so satisfying to hear!
Fantastic episode
The anime really fixes the 'random fodder Quincy keep showing up after multiple purges' problem from the manga.
I've been waiting for this review but I know episode 34 is going to be hyped.
Barro sniping away at the Shinigami reminds me of the opening to Commandos Strike Force, with Hawkins the team sniper just aiming and firing, one after the other. And you can bet Barro would flourish in such an environment as he is here.
Soifon joining Uruhara vs Askin would be nice.
I really hope they do this with JJK. Kubo is just a precious gem of creation. thank you for all your hard work too, Head Captain Tommo.
I’m a manga reader and my brother is an anime only. I LOVE the moments that are new to both of us, and this uryuu vs renji fight had us GOIN CRAZY😭😭
BLEACH FANS ARE EATING 🤌🏾
It's probably just a cross made of reishi
@vileluca yes, that's what I meant by summon one at will.
"I may have hundreds of people's blood on my hands but that doesn't mean I don't wipe after I wash them"
- Kenpachi, absolutely
I’m glad we finally get to expand on their abilities, and I love how this fight makes one remember their fight in the very first fight and their fight together against szayel Aporro
Looking forward to Pernida and Lille’s battles 😍
If Isane is still conscious despite that shot, she could potentially heal them, maybe even use her Zanpakuto. And Hanataro being there could also be a good showing of his zanpakuto’s ability
12:09 I think it makes sense for them to cut out the sun key if they really want Ishida to look like he’s changed sides
14:07 It should actually work like that since Yhwach rebuilt the entire Royal Palace using pieces of the city that overtook the seireitei
36:20 "I feel bad if you're a fan of these characters." Aside from Hisagi, those characters don't have fans.
The shadow seems to have not much limit on where it can transport things to. If you recall the old man zangetsu used the Quincy shadow to physically transport Ichigo to his inner world.
Mayuri is boutta go stupid this weekend! Who all seen the preview pics? We getting back 2 back banger episodes til the end now
54:32 I feel like Mayuri is just being an asshole to Uryu here and saying he's stupid because he dislikes him, not because he's actually dumb
Gate of the Sun could also make people watching think about Mayuri, who is dressed in a sun-shaped fit, who opened a gate. That is why they did not mention the device in the episode, because it has double meaning.
The lighting and picture quality on the setup looks super nice this week!!!
Love the respect you gave Kenpachi, “firstly, he’s not an animal”; that was a funny line. As for the rest, I agree. This was another banger episode
Thanks for a new video. Just what I needed now
I always sort of envisioned the Gate of the Sun used the shadows as a Recall from anywhere to the Silbern of a quincy used the Suns Key.
I actually unironically wouldn't mind if the next episode started with Ichigo getting defeated, that would be funny af.
yhwach: “you don’t like the real estate? how about i drop an auswahlen on ur head”
to think that Hanataro couldnt handle Kennys spiritual pressure in the ss arc
Your right he standing next to him although kenpachis isn't trying to crush him with it though.
My prediction regarding Mayuri vs Pernida will be that Pernida will use his vollstandig, thus their battle might be longer.😮
Season will probably end with Ichigo vs Uryu Round 2
Edit: as many times as you have rewatched the fight, you definitely missed the part where the blade retracts before he grabs onto a rock
Great episode!
54:30 maybe it’s a dig at uryu refusing to acknowledge his intelligence
I think for the quincies using shadows to travel in Wahrwelt, we've also seen Yhwa use them to summon Nianzol and foot soldiers when he arrived.
Plus, when all the buildings were pulled up from below, it's possible that also lets them use shadows to travel if they're linked to that somehow.
In any case, it's just cool to see the anime showing off abilities like this, or Blut, which kind of got forgotten after the 1st invasion.
whats also intresting is that uryus left badge subtly flashes after he shot renji at 38:48, this could be a link to the antithesis
Coffee, blunt and tomo video, perfect
my first thought when I saw that white outline on Renji’s torso before Uryu’s arrow hit was that it looked like he was targeting his saketsu and hakusui (binding chain and soul sleep). i’m sure this is a reach and there are plenty of other feasible explanations, but i couldn’t get byakuya’s speech to ichigo at the very beginning of the series about how striking these ‘pressure points’ will seal off a shinigami’s power out of my head. my best guess if this is true is Uryu may have aimed for these points in order to make Renji appear dead or imperceptible to anyone else seeking out his spiritual pressure. besides ichigo who’s obviously a special case, there hasn’t really been further mention of the saketsu or hakusui or whether or not regular shinigami can regain their powers after having them sealed in this manner (though i’m sure with mayuri’s advanced technology and his time in the royal palace renji won’t be down and out for long.)
That you can foresee…tell me tomno…..are you a prophet
Also, Renji's new bankai solidifies him as the perfect pair for Rukia:
Fire and Ice;
Beauty and the Beast;
We keep winning with these hour long videos
58:50 You didn’t touch on a theory that I’ve seen some other people throw out that Uryu was targeting Renji’s Soul Chain and/or Soul Sleep (Saketsu and Hakusui), removing his Shinigami powers
Apparently a similar white circle showed up when Uryu did it to Jirobo earlier in the series
I'm glad they're setting that up a lot more because speed-readers have been complaining about the Still Silver arrow for eons despite it mechanically being something we've seen plenty of times.
on rewatching the episode i think they are able to use the shadows as the schattebereich was pulled up together with the quincy landscape
I want to see more of those epic, big fights like Uryu vs Renji. No cuts and interruptions.
I love how Kenpachi causually treats Hanataro like a capable comrade despite what one might expect his opinion of Hanataro to be
It still tickles me how 15 yrs later after watching bleach online every Tuesday or Thurs (Naruto was on one of those days but bleach is the other, forgot which is which) seeing the War is insane also the Bretha sof hell to boot.
And this was the final nail in the coffin for any new Isane content, or at least content that isn’t her getting shafted like usual.
you still havent said why ichihime makes no sense
thinking about it Isane getting snipped here is pretty lame considering this would've been a great opportunity to build her up since she becomes captain later on
I would like a scene of Isane healing her wounds (maybe showing a potential healing ability of her zanpakto) and then saving her sister and the rest of those shot nearby. This would atleast show why she is fit to be a captain and allow her to have a simple way to give her something more than being cannon fodder.
Yeah Isane coulda had a moment there…
I love how MrTommo continually freaks out every week that the friend saga isn’t happening XD
I feel like Uryu probably shot his soul chain
15:00 Grimjow is waiting around because he doesn’t want to take orders from ichigo, as ichigo is the one that told them to head out and in the last episode they made it clear grimjow wasn’t on their team. It’s supposed to be a little bit of comedy on the arrogance and pride of grimjow
Grimmjow the type of guy to say “i’m not walking with you, we’re just going the same direction”
