You messed up some things I think, the animator got driven mad since that was the only thing keeping them financially stable so he created cartoon cat using voodoo to put it's essence in a film tape thing lol and it played into the projector making it come to life and the original cartoon cat being tied up was basically a reference to them removing him, so them removing him allowed the evil version to manifest.. that's why he said sacrificial slave, and he turned cartoon dog evil? I think.. and the rest of the characters he met during the film like the bunny which was explained at the start, the animator was trying to kill the director or torture him into putting him back on the project, that's what I think and maybe he wasn't trying to kill anyone and cartoon cat went hostile, that's why she was blushing or getting trying nervous/scared in the background, and cartoon cat is now uncontrollable, maybe I'm wrong idk.
