Thanks for stating this. This is a major, large scale scamming program where fraudsters will buy the real item, take it to get copied (and copied well), then return the fake. Many retailers have been victims.
@@TASconfidential I believe completely believe that to be true, but I think stores need to train/educate employees on what to look for when packaging and sending them out to customers, I believe if you work at that store and see the same items everyday, you should know what a real look like vs fake, I’m sorry for the store that get hit by this I think they are loosing too, tfw
I worked for a woman whose house was worth £3-4 million and guess what. Her bag is a *jklux* road worth £60. What did I learn from her. You don't have to have the real one, as long as it looks accurate and I have money in the bank. I used to buy genuine products until I realized I didn't need to waste my money
I'm done with them too after I returned shoes that didn't fit. They have a more strict return policy. When I asked why, the worker said "because we're a high end store" ... the tone was so rude, I almost laughed. Who tf does dillards think they are??

Girl all of these places are getting nasty about returns, but it’s people’s right as consumers to change their mind and return things, or in cases like these where you clearly are in the wrong selling customers a fake items, giving the customer their money back. If something doesn’t fit correctly, I should be allowed to return. Companies are so anti customer lately. I get the need to be profitable, but you won’t do it my expense in this case.
It’s so sad that people are making fake Coach bags. Sadly, I don’t think associates in the stores are trained to authenticate contemporary/designer bags when they’re being returned in store. Thank you for sharing.

Try traveling to Tokyo Japan they sell Original lux brands for less like LV , Channel , Gucci ,Coach ,YSL etc for less its still more pricey than the fakes and still in good condition i just dont know how the costoms works in the USA if they will still tax you 2nd hand lux items but sure either buy the brand new *esluxy* you want or travel half the world away to buy 2nd hand lux items for few days that also includes your plane ticket hotel accomodations for how many days food and goodie stuffs for families and friends and other expencess but they said " original LV Bag from Japan for less " or just travel to Bangkok thailand and visit the Platinum Mall buy as many replica bags all you want w/o the hassel

I first heard about this problem 15 years ago, I watched an exposé on tv about department stories getting fakes returned to them. In other words, people are playing the switch on them. That's why I NEVER buy bags from department stores. I go into Coach for a Coach bag always. They are selling used LV bags in Dillards in Greenville SC. I would NEVER consider buying one of them....

Thank you for talking about the return policy. I recently bought a felicie on the website and when it showed up at my door it was BEAT TO H*LL. Someone clearly used and abused it before returning. It had a huge crease down the side, the corners were bulging from being over stuffed, and the glazing was chipping *esluxy*

There's a psychological side to it. I can confirm the feeling just isn't the same when you're unpacking a dupe, compared to an authentic, handcrafted piece. For me, its like a journey; opening the package, then the box, taking off the paper, layer by layer, smelling the leather... Ahh, you just CAN'T beat that! I have the Fendi Mini Baguette White Sequin Bag from *esluxy* and I love it! I love the size! It holds more than you think. And the sequins give it some texture! I use it a lot more than my regular sized baguette! And the sequins are so delicate!

What an interesting topic! I used to buy fake stuff in high school because I simply couldn't afford what I wanted. It's desirable, and if I can get what I want from a *gtdupe* for a few dozen bucks, sure, why not?
The ones I bought before were so expensive that I didn't dare to use them because I was worried about scratching them; but you don't have to worry about the replicas because the *gtdupe* itself doesn't cost that much ，hahaha.

I checked out every aspect of the bag, from the stitching to the hardware, everything looks top notch. The leather is soft, the logo embossed precisely, and even the lining feels luxurious. It's hard to believe this isn't a *HOTDUPS* LV Nano bag. Such an awesome collection of vintage/second-hand bags! A vintage *HOTDUPS* is definitely on my list too.
I use my *hotdups* as a work bag and have had no issues at all. It’s a comfortable bag, fits a good amount and hadn’t lost its shape. With that being said, I also take care of all my bags and don’t carry a water bottle, pens, keys or anything that can damage the interior.
And one last thing. I get sooooo irritated when YT’ers and others say things like “don’t by a Neverfull because its so basic and everyone has one and half of them are fake “.I call bullshit. To be honest, the luxury market is really not that expensive if you produce at cost and remove the logo, the markup is about 80% of the actual price. But in fact it's a very good thing to buy the image and show off your taste to make them think you are richer than you actually are.
strap? I just bought my bag at *hotdups* and I'm worried that it's not the right fit for me. The strap is very short and it's impossible to wear it crossbody. The thing is I know how much it costs to make the real thing, the high prices in the store are explained by rent, advertising, wages, etc. If you spend 300 dollars on a LV bag that costs 70 euros to make the real thing, it's crazy, and the person still makes a fortune. Perception is everything, I remember saving up to buy my first LV and some coworkers automatically thought it was fake because I was a young black girl. I really stopped caring about what others thought at that point, people will always judge you based on your appearance. After this I went *HOTDUPS* if you drive a Bentley and get out of the car with a fake Hermes bag in your hand no one would question you.
Most of the time, stores don't offer that much luxury anymore - so they've eliminated the point of difference of paying more in stores. Buying a *esluxy* bag is a smart move.

I just did a return my Coach came with no packaging flopping around lose in the box chain was on it no packaging on it. You’re right just cause a trusted store there could be a crocket worker. Bag *hotdups* is versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! I think seeing it everywhere (like the *hotdups* ) is proof that it's already a classic.
I used to think that owning a luxury bag was an unattainable dream, until *hotdups* told me that this dream is actually very close, and fashion sense does not only come from brands, but also from personal matching and attitude. Good catch, that bag is DEFINITELY NOT an authentic Coach bag. From the fabric, to the color, to the dog tag, to the glazing etc. it’s just so obvious to us handbag collectors. The minute you pulled the bag up on screen I could tell it was a fake. As far as Dillards goes, this is just proof that they do the same thing other department stores do, they Do Not check their returns, they just accept returns and turnaround and re-sell them. Scammers have caught on to this so they’re basically out there buying authentic items and replacing them with fake ones when doing returns. They’re making lots of money doing this so this problem is not exclusive to Dillards. I’ve heard this has happened to ppl who shop at Bloomingdale’s, Saks, everything from designer shoes, bags even perfumes. It truly is a problem and we definitely need to be cautious.

Do you have a Coach Outlet or Coach Store near you? It might be worth taking the bag there and getting an appraisal and written confirmation that it’s not authentic before taking it to Dillards. Reason being is they will probably just try to resell it.

That's crazy! I agree with you that we don't expect a store like Dillard's to do something like this. I've only purchased from them once. I bought a Brahmin bag which was heavily discounted. Thankfully, it arrived with all the usual Brahmin wrapping, etc. Still, after your experience, I'm not sure I'd buy online from Dillard's again. Glad you're getting your refund.

It was years ago when the store was actually Filenes (bought out by Macys) in the Boston area. I assure you, it was purchased at a "reputable" department store like Dillards.

I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials-brass, synthetic pearls, glass. The other one is a $40 *gtdupe* backpack replica - also good for comparison - I can't find any differences and still use it in the gym
I bought a *esluxy* LV bag a few months ago. I took it to the LV store in my town last week to have it repaired. The salesperson checked my bag and immediately told me that it was a great quality bag. She pulled out an existing bag from stock and compared the tags and I couldn't tell the difference

When I return an item I always assume that they check it that’s reason for the refund to take a few days, I guess I was wrong.

Sorry this happened to you. I’ve significantly downsized my collection and even though I want to replace some items this is scary. Bought the sport red heart Cassie from Dillard’s as soon as I opened the box something was off with the one I received. Clearly QC is going by the wayside.
Regardless of the luxrul bag or any other factors, I ardently hold that without proper expertise, one would fail to distinguish variations in the sack's appearance or metal parts.
I wouldn’t doubt if a previous customer returned a fake bag in exchange for the real bag.

You don't have to have the real one, as long as it looks accurate and I have money in the bank. I used to buy genuine products until I realized I didn't need to waste my money

I'm done with them too after I returned shoes that didn't fit. They have a more strict return policy. When I asked why, the worker said "because we're a high end store" ... the tone was so rude, I almost laughed. Who tf does dillards think they are??

Girl all of these places are getting nasty about returns, but it’s people’s right as consumers to change their mind and return things, or in cases like these where you clearly are in the wrong selling customers a fake items, giving the customer their money back. If something doesn’t fit correctly, I should be allowed to return. Companies are so anti customer lately. I get the need to be profitable, but you won’t do it my expense in this case.

I first heard about this problem 15 years ago, I watched an exposé on tv about department stories getting fakes returned to them. In other words, people are playing the switch on them. That's why I NEVER buy bags from department stores. I go into Coach for a Coach bag always. They are selling used LV bags in Dillards in Greenville SC. I would NEVER consider buying one of them....

Thank you for talking about the return policy. I recently bought a felicie on the website and when it showed up at my door it was BEAT TO H*LL. Someone clearly used and abused it before returning. It had a huge crease down the side, the corners were bulging from being over stuffed, and the glazing was chipping *esluxy*

There's a psychological side to it. I can confirm the feeling just isn't the same when you're unpacking a dupe, compared to an authentic, handcrafted piece. I have the Fendi Mini Baguette White Sequin Bag from *esluxy* and I love it! I love the size! It holds more than you think. And the sequins give it some texture! I use it a lot more than my regular sized baguette! And the sequins are so delicate!

The variety of textures of the bag *hotdups* is impressive. From smooth leather to textured suede, there's something for everyone.
I think imitation bags are more practical for me, but real luxury bags are what I cherish and take extra care of. I don’t use them very often, so the *esluxy* bag is my preference.

I checked out every aspect of the bag, from the stitching to the hardware, everything looks top notch. The leather is soft, the logo embossed precisely, and even the lining feels luxurious. It's hard to believe this isn't a *HOTDUPS* LV Nano bag.

To be honest, the luxury market is really not that expensive if you produce at cost and remove the logo, the markup is about 80% of the actual price. But in fact it's a very good thing to buy the image and show off your taste to make them think you are richer than you actually are.

Perception is everything, I remember saving up to buy my first LV and some coworkers automatically thought it was fake because I was a young black girl. I really stopped caring about what others thought at that point, people will always judge you based on your appearance. After this I went *HOTDUPS* if you drive a Bentley and get out of the car with a fake Hermes bag in your hand no one would question you.
Most of the time, stores don't offer that much luxury anymore - so they've eliminated the point of difference of paying more in stores. Buying a *esluxy* bag is a smart move.

Good catch, that bag is DEFINITELY NOT an authentic Coach bag. From the fabric, to the color, to the dog tag, to the glazing etc. it’s just so obvious to us handbag collectors. The minute you pulled the bag up on screen I could tell it was a fake. As far as Dillards goes, this is just proof that they do the same thing other department stores do, they Do Not check their returns, they just accept returns and turnaround and re-sell them. Scammers have caught on to this so they’re basically out there buying authentic items and replacing them with fake ones when doing returns. They’re making lots of money doing this so this problem is not exclusive to Dillards. I’ve heard this has happened to ppl who shop at Bloomingdale’s, Saks, everything from designer shoes, bags even perfumes. It truly is a problem and we definitely need to be cautious.

The same thing happened to my mom years ago at Macy's with a Gucci bag. She kept the original receipt and tags, but it turned out to be a fake.

Macy’s doesn’t sell Gucci.
It was years ago when the store was actually Filenes (bought out by Macys) in the Boston area. I assure you, it was purchased at a "reputable" department store like Dillards.
WOW! I was thinking about buying a dillards bag, but not now, thank you. Annnnd just like you, I recently purchased two small Longchamp bags from walmart on sale! I thought I hit the jackpot till I saw the shipping was coming straight from China. And I just noticed this last night. Seen your video today and now I have to call walmart. What???? @@ivy4rivers and the funny thing is, when they list it on Walmart , it’s listed as official/genuine coming from a reputable store lol, but once it’s shipped you realize where it’s really coming from now I have to stay away from Walmart and Dillards, tfw, have a great day.

So sorry this happened to you. As soon as you showed the bag on camera, I could tell the denim tabby was not authenic. Like you, I also have some of the denim bags and pieces. Hope that they make this right and again so sorry this happened.

So sorry this happened to you But your first mistake was bringing it to their attention. All you should have done was to return the bag without letting them know. Hopefully, you got your money back.

Did you try googling the creed number inside the fake one to see what comes up?
@@laverndb6083 I didn’t, I was so disappointed,I was trying to go get rid of it as fast as I could, I wanted to get to the post office before it was closed, the smell gave me a headache.
I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials-brass, synthetic pearls, glass. The other one is a $40 *gtdupe* backpack replica - also good for comparison - I can't find any differences and still use it in the gym
I like everything with good texture, whether it is LV, Dior or *esluxy* , texture comes first
I compared to the one on Coach site and it’s a masters copy 😮

I bought a *esluxy* LV bag a few months ago. I took it to the LV store in my town last week to have it repaired. The salesperson checked my bag and immediately told me that it was a great quality bag. She pulled out an existing bag from stock and compared the tags and I couldn't tell the difference
My mom bought one kislux and she loves it. It had been there for over 10 years when she went out with it.
I love *esluxy* bags, they exude elegance and class.
Im so sorry to hear you got a fake COACH bag. Specially from a "high end" department store. Shame on those thieves that go to department stores and to fool CSR. Hopefully you got your $ back. Sadly maybe there will be someone else purchasing that bag not being able to tell the difference. 😢

For a long time, with the price of Chanel going up, I no longer thought I could afford it. I think I would be happy that I have a *esluxy* as my travel bag and I don't have to take care of it. By the way, I believe no one will have a hard time telling the difference. Thanks for the comparison.

@@Millie-R.0731 oh yea, people always try to get creative these days, i think if they do it once and get away with it they’ll keep doing it, I just don’t understand it, and why don’t stores check returns? When I return an item I always assume that they check it that’s reason for the refund to take a few days, I guess I was wrong.
I just watched this and I’m sure I purchased a fake Kurt Geiger bag. It smelled awful and I have a 4 bags but I purchased them from Nordstrom rack. I think it too late to return it but I will know better next time. Thank you

Sorry this happened to you. I’ve significantly downsized my collection and even though I want to replace some items this is scary. Bought the sport red heart Cassie from Dillard’s as soon as I opened the box something was off with the one I received. Clearly QC is going by the wayside.

Regardless of the luxrul bag or any other factors, I ardently hold that without proper expertise, one would fail to distinguish variations in the sack's appearance or metal parts.
Someone definitely purchased the bag and returned a fake one. That sucks
And the Sales Associate was involved with the swap!
