Solo fm traveller here, thanks so much for safety tips and product recs. I haven’t been brave enough to camp on my own yet, so I appreciate your courage, sensibility, and personal responsibility while out in the wild.
Cannot tell you how A-MAZ-ING I think you are. To be brave & follow your heart & dreams...soo..awesome!! Thank -you for letting me live vicariously thru your adventures. There is an old movie with a song " Me & My Arrow," about a boy & his dog. Soo..apropos....Madison & her Kiro....
I just moved to Colorado and have started backpacking even with all the snow because of you!! So many people were worried and/or told me not to. It’s been so magical so thanks for inspiring me🥹
This is one of my favourite places around Kelowna, at some points a few years ago you could actually see northern lights here in the spring/summer, sometimes the light pollution is too intense
Life been busy lately, so I have been lacking on your recent uploads, it’s good to come back and see you Madison, enjoying life even more than ever, it seems like you’re more happy, more upbeat, more peppery in your videos, it’s like you had a huge weight on your shoulders, but now, now you’re free. Much love and respect all the way from Puerto Rico🇵🇷
I love your channel Madison. I'm in BC on the island but i travel in the okanagan every chance i get. I ditched my jeep for a black ram 1500 with the offroad package- still stock and cant wait to see what you work out for a camp set up. I use a propane firepit now as a back up for eves like this video. I also travel with a big double coated dingo dog-shepherd husky collie mix called Kaleo! Thanks sister for all the positivity you bring!!
The power station has a 12 volt DC battery. If you plug something into the AC outlet you are using the built in inverter, which uses power. A 12 volt electric blanket will provide the same heat for a longer time, because it is more efficient as you said.
Blessings to you from Prince Rupert BC. I admire your tenacity and spirit of adventure. Thanks for sharing these views and your experiences in our back country.
Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. I'm living in a place with Mediterranean climate so winters are very mild, warm and beautiful.I admire you a lot for winter camping. You are very brave. 😎 Greeting from Southeastern Europe 👋
Love the time to battery comparison! I still haven’t winter camped yet but knowing that this could be an option for one night is great to hear. Love the videos! You inspire me to get back out into the wilderness even with my 9-5. 😊
If you keep going up that road and go west on KVR there's an awesome campsite with fire pit and tent pad tucked in the hillside. Also a lodge down that road with awesome pulled pork buns.
I slept on a foot of ice in a stone hut on top of Mt. Whitney in a dacron sleeping bag. Coldest night of my life. I’ve since come to appreciate good equipment.
I like the idea of the rooftop tent rather than a camper. It's a little more work to set up each time but they're so much lighter and tbh they just look cool.....lol.
I love Your videos. You have so much energy. Do it while you're young. I used to work on Toronto Island as a flight instructor in the late 80's. I was 22 and a norwegian immigrant. It was hard and not glamorous at all. Looking up at the skyscrapers on Younge street was an experience though. Cheers😊
@@fool468Stu sounds familiar but I never worked with any of the instructors later. So I don't remember any names. I moved up north and became a bush pilot after about 6 months there.
This was good , even though it looks really cold 🥶 you did very well cooking your dinner which looked like it turned out really good ! For myself it’s been really hard to beat a down filled sleeping bag or blanket for warmth on any cold night ! Great trip and you had lots of fun ! Thanks for the tutorial on your OM5! Great camera , always have been !
I can't wait to get back out backpacking... it's been a while. And Kyro sounds a little like my cat. She probably wouldn't approve of my saying it but it's incredibly adorable when she hops to her feet and starts growling at delivery people when they knock on the door. She looks like a tiger, but I don't think that she realizes that a 3Kg tiger is not very intimidating, especially with her cute face 🤣😍
The worlds sweetest voice, makes my heart melt, and reminds me there are solid girls out there! That love nature like I do, girls like you, give me hope that some day patience will bring me a beautiful wife, life long best friend, and a awesome women that understands everything I do, and what life and Nature is all about! Thanks for being awesome, keep making content! I hope in the years to come you gain 1 million Subscribers, because you deserve it! I mean it from the bottom of my heart! Much love, hope your doing well! 😊
I didn't know you were using the OM-5. I just picked one up a few weeks ago to use to film my videos, as well as a secondary photography camera. I'm very happy with it. It's cool to see someone else using one!
If you look at your propane tank when it’s frosting up, however high the frost is that’s how much propane you got in it so more less it tells you how much propane you got in that propane bottle on the little ones
Consider a year pass to private timberland (Weyerhaeuser and Sierra Pacific), a key to all the gates, well maintained logging roads, and tons of animals and very few other people). You may not like it though because there'd be no help if something happened to your truck, and you seem to like to go to more popular places. Best move I've ever made - I recreate their hundreds of miles of logging roads and hike/bushcraft year-round.
Madison you sound just about as introverted as I am. I'll definitely say hi if I ever run into you. You should come check out the Appalachian mountains in Pennsylvania. I think you would love it.
We used to have bush parties up there in the early 90's. Okm KSS Rutland. All the school kids would go up there. We would have 4-5 hundred at those parties.
Honestly, you are the ideal person I want to grow up to be.
Camping alone, having a dog as friend for journey, explore places😊
Love from India 🇮🇳
Grow up to be yourself..
LOL, "He's run off somewhere" just in the background sniffing. Great video!
Lmaoo I didn’t notice that 😂
Love these videos - have you ever thought about putting a mini GoPro on Kyro to see what he finds when he’s off leash?
great idea.

Just go! I did it for the first time this fall and it was a core memory!
I've had my girl Bella, since i was 17 she's 13 and we still hit 6 mile hikes. Good diet, supplements, exercise and love ❤ .

Madison you are so fun to watch. Good for you out having adventures
Brave young lady🤩⭐️😎
Ive had my collie cross since I was 18 too, she will also be 9 this year so loves her jumper and cosy fleece blankets 😊
OMG… so excited. Moving into a new home and just sat down to take a break.
This is me right now “Honey come quick Madison posted” 😁
No way. Congrats on the move 😊

Those skewers are probably the best you’ve cooked on this channel!

There is so much of simplicity and so much of realistic in you how you carry yourself! Keep going !!!

You both are tough as nails for camping in the winter. I enjoy your videos and your cute red nose.😂
I LOVE Kyro, and that truck looks amazing. Your location is so beautiful.
A truck camper on that truck would be soo cool... they have 12v heated blankets which are a little more efficent with power stations
The power station has a 12 volt DC battery. If you plug something into the AC outlet you are using the built in inverter, which uses power. A 12 volt electric blanket will provide the same heat for a longer time, because it is more efficient as you said.
Im definitely inspired to do a little more car camping, doesnt seem so bad with a pup and a blanket. Your videos just keep getting better, keep it up!
amazing young woman!! Please keep safe!
No bugs✔️ Fewer people is another plus of winter camping
Cheers to your philosophy. Thanks for sharing. Wishing you peace and good fortune. Happy Trails!

Yea it’s worth every penny. I’ll save for good gear before becoming inpatient and settling for something cheaper but not as effective.
I like the idea of the rooftop tent rather than a camper. It's a little more work to set up each time but they're so much lighter and tbh they just look cool.....lol.

i have a similar blanket i use as bedding. works well with my solar setup and sleeping bag. it will usually pull 120 and fluctuate to 30
I wonder if Kiro could be trained (or is) to the truck horn. The sound carries for kilometers sometimes, Might save you some worry.
