Do I have to enable a setting or something to get to play maps like this? Downloaded the game today and it’s literally been the same 2 maps over and over the entire day.
The update that buffed paladins and stalwarts was very welcome. I do believe they can compete with meta units now especially with really good doctrines and a glaive/longsword buff. This new patch though is kind of nutty. Many ranged units and cavalry ranged units are getting 30-40% buffs and algorithm improvements. Longbows now fire 35% faster and have over 90% accuracy (a 45% buff...) at max range and will supposedly automatically change targets on an individual basis to the hero in charge when the targeted unit is in cover. I doubt that last part will work as smoothly as it suggests but overall this patch is going to make a lot of units break into the viable category and some possibly even in the meta if I'm understanding these numbers correctly
Some cavalry like monastics and keshigs are also getting a slight buff. Monastics may decisively beat winged hussars because of their new concussion + 30% extra damage taken debuff on enemies who interrupt their charge. That's actually a pretty insane counter to a counter to implement on an already very effective tier 5 unit. Clearly they want the knight units to be stronger on the tier list as indicated by the last two patches.
that was funny play with javs xD nice game, and Evo, try the new (i think) rune, that one let you heal (press H) while you in fight, it fine its rly good one! (heal without animation)
When in the default v formation they can shield bash as a riposte when enemies attack and the attack will stun if the enemy is vulnerable to CC. The stalwarts received a much better buff with a +12% damage and +12% damage reduction AND a 7% heal on block over 2 sec all when they use their brace ability
I play zerks alot, i basically never ever lost a fight againts paladins... if they charge, you just doge and ur done, sor stun the clustered paladins and all are dead
yea 8 naked 0 armour man with small axes beating the shit out of 28 knights I mean stupid berzerkers recharge too much HP with skill and really why they have so high hp pool then?
That is not true, however if you heal while in battle they get hit and their weak spot debuff is strong enough to make heal useless while in battle, you'd have to heal them after every engagement or when they are far away from enemies
Love you dude, got me back into this game and made me try the halberd, best weapon imo.

I don't think so , they lack rear defend like imperial shield . When 5 star calvary can play they will be decimated

Even after the buff, I find Claymores to be a lot more effective at dealing and taking damage than the paladin.
