IKR i was there right there when they debuted back in 2009 and it felt EXACTLY as you described. 🔥🔥 they legit were monster rookies. their stages didnt even look like rookies and it looks like they were in the game for years, full of confidence, energy and charisma. everyone was shookd when fire came out. XD they were so different, unique and nothing like previous girl groups and each member all balanced each other out. at the time they were rumoured a lot to be the female version of big bang during pre debut/ debut era but they broke that expected stereotype factor and made their own image and style that's unique to them. tbh they're one of the best girl groups to debut in kpop history and pretty much set the standards for it. actual queens, 2ne1 was straight up boss right from the very beginning

Maryam Ahmad ah, yes. In 2014, one of the members (Park Bom) went on an indefinite hiatus due to a drug scandal issue. It was cleared up that they were for medical usage, but the media was still upset. That's when everything started to go downhill which led to their disbandment 😔 MAMA 2015 was the last time they performed as a group. I suggest you watch it. 😊 They made sure no one will forget the name "2NE1"✨♠️
But now they will perform on dec 3 2018/2019 (I'm not sure) with Minzy (on her US tour)😊

Earlier, when I got home, I opened my phone and clicked instagram. I'm just scrolling down then one post caught my attention. A post from bommiofficial. I read the caption because the picture is not yet loaded bc the signal is slow bc of the typhoon. The caption say's, "YG officially announces 2ne1's disband. Etc." And I was like, we? Toud au? Laa? (Bisaya language) And my tears starts to flow. I opened my twitter and I saw #ThankYou2ne1 is trending and I started to cry rn. Even Myx Philippines tweeted about it. I almost fell my phone after reading the translated announcement of YG. I questioned myself, "Why did YG let go 2ne1?" Im trying to stop my tears while typing this one but it just kept on flowing. I'm 8 or 9 yrs old when I met 2ne1 bc of Dara unnie bc she's from the Philippines. Last 2014, me and my cousins really love their Come Back Home single. We even searched on RUclips the dance tutorial to know the dance steps. Last Oct. 29, I posted a picture of Bom unnie, Dara unnie and CL unnie on my Instagram acc with a caption, "2ne1 before Red Velvet. Missing my Queens." Im really happy,when I saw that picture and a good news follows bc Bom unnie already updated her Twitter acc. and make a new Instagram acc. CL unnie posted a picture of herself in their AON tour. My hope sets high that they we're coming back but then reading an article that they've got disbanded really huts me a lot. My heart broke into two and there wasn't super glue to mend it. But still thank you bc YOU introduced me to Kpop world. Without you, I will not know about EXO, BTS, Got7, Seventeen, Astro, NCT, Twice, GFriend, Laboum, Blackpink, SNSD and Red Velvet. Lol, maybe nowadays it's more calm water since all the k-drama that went down and YG fcking everybody over...But I remember 2010-2013 very clearly xD Everyday it was a war zone in the comment section. Especially between Sones and Blackjacks... it was on the level of some Exo-L vs Army beef. YG stans and fans have a past too. VIP's used to be the most peaceful, but as BB got bigger... their fans became more elite like too. Luckily most of their fans are older now. Same goes for 2NE1. Blackpink fans are younger and new to Kpop in general, so they probably are more active or even immature. But I already see a lot of individual fans just like with Blackjacks. That's dangerous, Blackjacks had a lot of internal fandom issues (BlameYG btw). And since Blackpink don't have an official fandom yet, I'm scared that these individual bias fans will overrule as well. Oh well...I don't know what the deal is with YG anymore. I love all their artists, but their management is still so bad even after all those years. Sorry, for the rant. Ignore my rambling please.

chxnghx ` Yes, luckily that is the situation right now... but like I said before 2010-2013... those were the worst years. 2010-2011 especially. So much hate between Blackjacks and other girl groups fans. Not just in the 2NE1 channel, but fans were also commenting on basically ever (new) girl group their MV calling them copycats and shit. There were a lot of ''new to Kpop fans'' so... yeah, maybe that played a big part. Also there have been a lot of groups starting out with a 2NE1-like concept, but still... 2NE1 got so much hate and anti's because of some ''fans''. Still, like I said before no fandom has a clean past. There always will be bad apples too. It's just funny to me that we went from ''the worst fandom'' to ''calm''. Fighting is tiring, so I'm glad that nowadays there is more 'peace'. But that's mostly because of the situation the girls are in right now, and everybody being sad or mad at YG. A lot of individual fans are still trowing shades at each other.

But one of the groups who did suffered a lot because of such anti's were WINNER during their Exit E comeback. K-netz and I-netz were saying how it was a major flop compared to their debut. But people forget that the boys went on a long hiatus for a rookie group, and the members had gotten into a lot of serious issues (Taehyun and Mino) in the mean time too. But according to Goan charts, WINNER was the most digital strong boy group placing second under Block B in 2016. Yet YG didn't push the EXIT albums through and sent them touring and on another hiatus instead. And now they are putting all the blame on Taehyun... (sorry, I keep ranting to you. it was nice talking though. i hope you don't mine me too much xD)

YG에서 2ne1 15주년 콘서트를 하기로 했다는 소식에 반가운 마음으로 오랜만에 데뷔곡 Fire 뮤비를 보러왔네요. 가요방송 첫데뷔 무대를 봤던 기억이 아직도 생생합니다. 엄청 설레고 떨리는 마음이었는데 정말 신인의 무대라고 볼 수 없는 엄청난 무대였었죠. 멤버들 모두 오랜만에 공연준비하느라 힘들텐데 그 마음만은 너무 행복할거라 생각되네요. 모두 건강히 잘 마치길 응원할게요~😊
