Really love these engine concepts you’ve been making! I’ve always wanted to make/ own one day of a hit and miss style engine similar to this. Great work!
Thanks ! If you notice well, one valve make more sound than the other, which sound a bit like a single acting cylinder (one strong pschit, one low), I wish It sounds more like a double acting with more regular sound so need to tune it a bit :)
J'y pensais justement !
Sorry for that, yes I need to upgrade the setup for this king of video. For now I use a rode microphone on the gh5 which has a good level of noise but the microphone is not enough directive. I might think also to use a preamp but need a external recorder
It is to avoid using the official LEGO switch, which has deadpoint on the center and resistance to operate. As every switch is different, it is also a way to propose an engine without any modifications or difference. With standard switch, someone can build an engine and it doesn't work, and some other engine will work with different pieces. so Unless using particular building technique to overcome the standard switch problem, it is better to me to use custom valve that the functioning is not too dependent of the parts.

Love the series of pneumatic engines/machines! Also the sound of them running is really satisfying :)
Thanks !

Hell yeah, absolutely love it! Your switchless designs are so elegant. And the sound is so satisfying

@@Nico71Fr Ah yes I hear it now. That's the downside with crimping - very slightly inconsistent with some variability. But it sounds beautiful to me 😁

Horrible background noise! Use a Zoom H5 Handheld - with excellent filters!

What's the deal with creating custom valves instead of just using existing parts?
they create les of a dead point in your engine

Lots of the cylinders also have way too much friction, and low airflow.
@@0hellow797 Yes indeed, but it is hard to replace the cylinder. It is easier to deal with cylinder than switch regarding friction.
Where are the comments?
You need to wait a bit ^^
I ate them
Oh is that why most of them are sh!t?
Now make it faster
You can do it
