Floor Jansen is like a chameleon, Nightwish is blessed to have such a versatile singer :)

That is the third language she sang from beginning of the show. First was "Vilja lied" - German aria, than Mama - Dutch folk song and Que se Siente - Spanish/salsa. She said she was nervous, because she doesn't know the language and also never sang in Spanish, but still she was great. My absolute favorite is "Mama", the song from Samantha Steenwijk (the blonde woman in jacket), who is fenomenal Dutch folk singer. Here's the link: ruclips.net/video/sj1ibZrjQTs/видео.html

Wow, I have watched several reactions to this perfromance by Floor, but yours was the first with all the necessary background information into the context of her performance. Well done you two.
P.S. Watching those other reactions to this performance by Floor, I also learned that she decided to sing this in Spanish because Nightwish has a huge number of Latin American fans and she would also some day like to sing Nightwish's songs in Spanish.
All 3 of her performances have been amazing on this show. She did a German aria called Vilja Lied the first week. Then a Dutch folk song called Mama the second. Now this in Spanish.
3 weeks, 3 songs, 3 different languages. Let's also not forget she normally sings in English. She's incredible.

I can't wait to the new Nightwish album. She just finished her vocal parts and she said the new songs are "challenging material". I can't imagine what kind of songs Tuomas made, but if after all she has done she thinks they are a challenge for her ... WOW.
Let's just hope they aren't challenging becaues Tuomas has had a breakdown and just written bland pop! I'm sure that would be a challenge for Floor if she wasn't allowed to use her full vocal talent!!!! But I agree, can't wait for the new Nightwish album.

It is true, I'm a Floor-aholic since '97 and I frigging love everything she does!
She has sung in English, Dutch, Finnish, German, Italian and even Swedish, I swear she could sing in any language she decides she wants to try. She sang this for the artist and for all her South American fans who are crazy for her and Nightwish. Try the other 2 songs she has done:

Oi, obrigado por esta ótima reação. Floor não fala espanhol e disse que saiu muito da zona de conforto. Isso foi no terceiro episódio. No primeiro, cantou em alemão uma ária, Vilja Lied, da opereta A Viúva Alegre, de Franz Lehár, e no segundo, cantou em holandês Mama. Talvez vocês podem querer reagir a essas duas músicas também. Neste sábado ela será a convidada principal e os outros cantores cantarão suas músicas. Abraços!

All of the singers did great in this show imo :) I went for Floor but ended up enjoying all of the show.

I love both of you! You are so fun and informative to watch! Floor also did an Opera song from the Merry Widow called "Vilja Lied" on the first episode of Beste Zangers. Then she did a popular song called "Mama" on the 2nd episode. Both were wonderful and you should do a reaction to both. This week the other 6 singers will do songs for Floor. It should be very interesting to see if anybody does a Nightwish song?

@ I heard that some of the next shows songs are "Strong" from After Forever and "Our decades in the sun" and "Nemo" from Nightwish.
The entire show is worth a listen to.
Last week end Floor was in the spot light. All the other artists commented how her style and catalog of work was intimidating.
Floor has sung three times so far and will sing three more times before the show ends.
Douglas Campbell there will also be an episode where they do a duet. If all the signes are correct, Floor wil be doing “phantom of the opera” with Henk 😉
Spanish wasn't the biggest problem that Floor had to overcome, it was the style of music that made it difficult for her to give it a touch of her own.

Not only did she want to sing in Spanish for Rolf. She wanted to sing in Spanish for all the Nightwish fans in Latin America. Your reaction was incredible. Whole new perspective? That copyrighters of the show dont understand that. They block Denise's translation in English on youtube, foreign fans watch that show via VPN because show is only for Netherlands. When Floor goes away from there, that will be local country show again...

A Floor já lançou o telhado em órbita 3 vezes e este sábado são os outros a cantar para ela. Não esqueçam a ária Vilja Lied do primeiro episódio.
A técnica de cantar como que em suspiro tem uma história longa e distinta no metal. Se quiserem uma aula de mestre no seu uso, é só procurar os êxitos do falecido Ronnie James Dio ou do Eric Adams dos Manowar.
Uma coisa que este programa está a provar é que o nível de intensidade emocional que os cantores de metal são capazes de atingir não está ao alcance da esmagadora maioria dos cantores de outros estilos. Pode ser por causa das letras tão difíceis como: às cinco da tarde levam - me para o patíbulo, para mim as areias do tempo fazem - se poooooooooucas, ou pode ser o padrão que foi estabelecido e mantido desde o início.

The Beste Zangers show is aired every Saturday evening. This Saturday Floor will be in the central spot, and others will sing her songs (from her repertoire or related to her). Should be interesting to see what / how they'll be able to do it..
