I just received the headset today and coming from a xm2 over ear i have to say the sound quality is stellar!! Only paid 27 euro's on sales and i am blown away. The cushioning is very nice, fits 99% perfect to my head ( sightseeing gap at the left bottom side of the skull). Really recommended for its price❤❤❤!

ugreen is kinda like baseus, they make a lot of mobile and peripheral stuff. edit: for people using wireless ANC while walking around, make sure to double check your surroundings for safety (avoid pickpockers, accidents, etc). I generally do not recommend walking in a busy street with ANC on as you loose a lot of situational awareness i bought some adapters and 3.5mm cable extensions and they are good quality, in aliexpress they are generally 2x or 3x more expensive than generic stuff but the quality is guaranteed would be interesting to see more reviews like this: budget bluetooth sound devices (my suggestion is the baseus MA10)

I was planning on buying an Edifier W820NB as my tablet doesn't have any sort of earphones jack & my old edifier earbuds loss in a bus 😢. The noise cancelation is great too when turn on, it's like your ears is closing like on upper ground mountain, and give focus on your music. It really works. The build quality is great too a premium build. Kudos for Ugreen for making a full english voice-over. Great for the international market. Not a weird voice over. Ugreen brand is one of my trusted product. And it has a Ugreen App support to turn on the LDAC and more, concise options. For me the perfect music setting is (Rock) gives balance separation to all tune, high, mid, low, And lastly the sound quality is superb it is really a Hi-Fi wireless and wired. if you want to make your ears to get shock in quality crystal clear high, and mid, plus sufficient low bass sounds. I bought one of these right after the video ended. The USB audio feature is what sold me, after price. I think i paid 33$ for mine. Fully worth it. Confortable, looks nice, sounds good (to me at least). Only issue I have is how cheap it feels, which is to be expected and not helped when coming from 120$ headphones (Jabra Elite 85h). Oh, and i suppose not having play / pause / skip buttons is kinda annoying. I keep trying to press what would be the pause button on the Jabras, to no avail.
Thanks for the review, these are good headphones for the price. But I can't agree with you about the functionality of the ANC. The 43dB is just marketing, it actually only works a little in Ultra mode, but unfortunately it almost completely suppresses all bass. As a result, I only use ANC on the Max5c as a bass reducer, which sometimes comes in handy :-) The price cannot be an argument in this case either, because for the same money you can sometimes buy a 1more SonoFlow SE, where the ANC works almost perfectly, the sound is out of the box more compact and additionally with the possibility of using custom EQ in the stock application. Some presets in Ugreen are not bad, but Rock is probably the only one where there is no gap in the 4-8kHz area, which gives them a little airiness. Unfortunately it's sometimes a little too aggressive in the treble for me, so I often go back to Jazz, which I then have to fine-tune using AutoEq in Wawelet :-( I have a similar problem with connecting via usb c, great idea but bad implementation, for games and movies the sound is probably fine, but almost useless for listening to music without Wavelet or APO EQ. Max5c definitely has a lot of potential, it doesn't sound boring, it charges at the same time when listening via cable, and the construction seems quite robust, but Ugreen should improve the equalizer capabilities in the application for wired and wireless modes. I definitely wouldn't buy them because of the ANC, but the passive isolation works well, the battery lasts a long time, they support LDAC and on top of that Ugreen have really decent microphones, that's enough reasons to buy them 👍
@@ruru4855 No, no Ugreen preset, neither APO nor Wavelet affect ANC efficiency. In Ugreen there is some peak around 60Hz and it is smoothed out when ANC is activated, but this creates an imbalance between bass and treble and the magic of Ugreen is gone😀
@@ruru4855 And if you wondering if it's possible to use an additional EQ after ANC is turned on to bring the bass back to the original level without reducing the quality of the ANC, well yes, Ugreen were just lazy to set a different EQ for ANC ON like other brands mostly do 😄
@@ytmartini I was scared of the thought that source EQ would throw the ANC off so that the headphones won't produce the exact inverse sound of the environment noise anymore. I hope I'm correct in my assumption from your comment that the ANC is applied on top of the EQ so that the ANC still works as expected, because I always EQ all my stuff.

Me i have the Hitune T1 for almost two years now. I can say it was worthy buy. No ANC but the sound quality is decent enough. Just need some tweaking for it EQ. For balance music. Because by default bass fucus.

I might just pick this up later. If it's as good as you say it is, that price is a steal. Even the mic alone sounds better than any other anc headphones mics so far. What about in wired mode? Does the sound change compared to when you use Bluetooth? I assume it does. How much of a difference is it? Do you need to turn it on to use it in wired mode? What does the function buttons do? Like single, double, triple tap, hold. If possible, some people don't like getting to open the app every single time to enable the different types of ANC
If you run it in USB wired mode to a PC, it will not need to be turned on, it will automatically switch to wired mode. And it will remember the setup you set in the UGREEN app for the sound profile. So, it is hassle free as far as I can tell

I'm no audiophile, I just trust my ADHD whenever if the sounds good or not but this is really good. Holy, such a good recommendation. Just Received it. I'm kind of a bassy person so this headset is perfectly good for me. Also I don't see any latency when on wireless, playing games. 😮😮😮 Really good at movies Also the Jazz mode didn't work out for me only the Classic and Bassy. This might be better than my Soundcore Q45.

Thanks! I would not know the latency in ms, I don't have the means to measure it. But in LDAC for as long as within 4 meter, the connection is stable and does not appear to stutter
The whole video was recorded using RODE Wireless Pro except for the part where I tested the MIC and playing the game (Max5c was used) . No edit or digital noise suppression applied for the whole video
I had recently bought a bunch of ugreen stuff (chargers, power banks, cables) and I was suprised that they had a headphone that looked promising. Not a lot of reviews about it but I wonder if it's a worthy buy coming from someone primarily listening through earbud type TWS I also wanna ask if this is a new product? No iPhones don't have LDAC and they are only available in Android. Also I don't use iPhones since 2021. But you could make it work with AAC which is the next best thing after LDAC

I can't see to find the UGREEN app you mentioned in the google play store for my pixel . Do you know if the app is available in the US or can I use another app to tune the headphone?
The app is called Ugreen Home and downloaded outside of Play store. Each box of Max5C will have a card with QE code you can scan that will provide the link to download it
Yes it will connect and work on Macbook or iPhone using the AAC codec but no LDAC. And I do not think there is an app for iPhone, you probably need to check with UGREEN if the app is available for iPhones
I think not recommended for rain use. But I saw someone in RUclips open the inside of this specific model. The manufacturer, water sealed it, maybe for water resistant only...

You can set it first in the App while connected to the Android app but when connected to PC, the BT will turn off and you cannot change it in that mode, you need to reconnect to BT mode to change it again, but at least the saved settings will stay
If you don't need LDAC, you can turn on dual connect (multipoint) in the app and connect Max5c to PC and phone at the same time, and then you can switch the EQ in the app, even if you're listening on a PC.
Mine is not charging. Tried several cables and adapters still not charging. Plugged it more than 24 hours still battery low. Care to share what's workaround on this?
Hi Andy. Just ordered this in shopee. However their customer service is horrible and wont answer my question if "ugreen home app" is compatible with macOS. (All i got was automatic response that doesnt answer my questions) Can you please let me know if the app works perfectly with macbook?
I wish I can help. I don't have a Macbook. But to my knowledge, the UGREEN Home app which you can download via a QR code in the box is only intended for Android (not even PC)

Thanks! I would not know the latency in ms, I don't have the means to measure it. But in LDAC for as long as within 4 meter, the connection is stable and does not appear to stutter

Is the audio for first 38 seconds of the video recorded using the headset? (without editing and enhancing)
The whole video was recorded using RODE Wireless Pro except for the part where I tested the MIC and playing the game (Max5c was used) . No edit or digital noise suppression applied for the whole video
I had recently bought a bunch of ugreen stuff (chargers, power banks, cables) and I was suprised that they had a headphone that looked promising. Not a lot of reviews about it but I wonder if it's a worthy buy coming from someone primarily listening through earbud type TWS

May I ask, does Bluetooth already support Lossless/hi-res lossless? As far as I know, only wire supports Lossless/hi-res lossless, and Bluetooth does not support Lossless in general yet. Correct me if I'm wrong, and thanks for the answer.
The closest you get to Lossless is when you use LDAC in Max mode at 990kbps, lossless is just over 1000 Kbps

No iPhones don't have LDAC and they are only available in Android. Also I don't use iPhones since 2021. But you could make it work with AAC which is the next best thing after LDAC

The app is called Ugreen Home and downloaded outside of Play store. Each box of Max5C will have a card with QE code you can scan that will provide the link to download it

Yes it will connect and work on Macbook or iPhone using the AAC codec but no LDAC. And I do not think there is an app for iPhone, you probably need to check with UGREEN if the app is available for iPhones

You can set it first in the App while connected to the Android app but when connected to PC, the BT will turn off and you cannot change it in that mode, you need to reconnect to BT mode to change it again, but at least the saved settings will stay
If you don't need LDAC, you can turn on dual connect (multipoint) in the app and connect Max5c to PC and phone at the same time, and then you can switch the EQ in the app, even if you're listening on a PC.
How is the microphone in bluetooth mode with a laptop or PC?

I wish I can help. I don't have a Macbook. But to my knowledge, the UGREEN Home app which you can download via a QR code in the box is only intended for Android (not even PC)
