I agree that those of us in first world countries might live a better life than our grandparents, but going through hardship does not entitle a disrespectful attitude. It isn't an age thing either, plenty of young people also think they can act like dictators just because they worked hard and found themselves in a position of power. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter if you think someone is "lazier" than you, being unnecessarily rude shows a lack of emotional maturity and self-retrospection. There's no external justification for this kind of behavior, especially when you're in a position of power. Those poor daughters.
