GREAT job! I’m a HUGE MG fan. I KNOW this song like i know my name. I like that u nailed the little background things he did in-between the lyrics when he would “sing with himself” on the original song especially at 1:27 when the 2 voices sing 2 different parts! My ONLY critique is the only difference is Marvin FELT what he was singing. If u put more FEELIN’ into it, u got it! 😃
Thank you so much for your awesome comment! Marvin Gaye is my favorite singer, with this video my goal was to really learn as much as possible from my idol. It amazes me how Marvin had the perfect feel for fitting his two main vocals together and it still mystifies me. It will take me years and years to get to 10% of Marvin’s prowess but I am working at it every day :)
@@BrianKabalaMusic You’re welcome. I’ve NEVER seen anyone recreate that song and do it so accurately! You’re a true artist. Marvin’s vocals were great cuz he felt and believed every thing he recorded. NO ONE could sound like he did. The key is to do it YOUR way but to FEEL the lyrics, BELIEVE the lyrics. I like how u played all the parts. You’re kinda like Marvin and Stevie. Ha.
Thank you! It's in Eb and the beginning chords are mostly a vamp between a IV/5 chord and a 1 chord. Then it goes into a 2 5 into a IV chord which goes down to the 2 5 of the original key
Unfortunately I don't have the original videos where you could see just piano or guitar but here are the chords: Chorus: Abmaj7/Bb Ebmaj9 Abmaj7/Bb Bbmin9 Eb9 Abmaj7 Gmin7 Fmin7 Abmaj7/Bb Ebmaj9 Part that says "Love your mother": Abmaj7 Abma7/Bb Abmaj7 Fmin7
mejor de lo que esperaba, saludos
Thanks!
