A bunch of RainBird 5000 shrub sprays (on 3/4" risers) were worn out on this property so I replaced them with Hunter PGP-00 Ultra shrub sprays. I show you how. This short didn't allow time to show you that I used a wire brush to clean the threads on the riser and put 2 wraps of 3/4" teflon tape on those threads.

In my opinion the 5000 is superior to the PGP. I haven’t used the ultra but I’ve installed I-20 stainless steel rotors for a family member.

Lance, thanks for chiming in. What was the reason for using ss instead of just plastic?

I wish they would come up with something that doesn’t have a filter. Using lakewater mine clog once a week.

watch my video about well (lake) water. It shows the way to avoid clogging at the valves and heads.

Barbie, I hope to answer that in an upcoming video about PGP's. It would be tricky to try to answer that here.

Which rotar do you prefer 5000 or Pgp Ultra?
