    Dr. Cliff, I have been a subscriber for several years now. Although, you are not focused on tinnitus, I have found you to be the premier audiology expert, and so appreciate your unbiased reviews on hearing aids and other OTC hearing devices. I have had severe (not hyperbole) tinnitus for the last 25+ years. I have been actively playing drums for almost 60 years, and obviously have noise induced sensorineural hearing loss in the high frequency range. It is extremely bothersome and disruptive to my daily functioning - limiting what I can tolerate. I research every possible treatment, and even participated in a clinical trial pairing neromodulation (vagus nerve stimulation) with the presentation of high frequency tones. This required surgical implant of a stimulation device. It has now been exoplanted, as there was no significant improvement in tinnitus perception, as determined by the research team at the Callier Center for Audiology- UT Dallas.
    Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for your channel and the excellent educational content you make available. You are a shining star in the field of Audiology! 👏👍🙏

    Very interesting video. My tinnitus developed in August of 1982 after many years of going to loud concerts. In 1982, tinnitus was not a condition that was treated. There is a large emotional component in having tinnitus and hearing loss. There is a loss that has to be grieved having an untreatable condition,especially when the condition is 24/7. When treating hearing loss was linked to treating tinnitus and cognitive decline , i had to push to get an ENT referral from my physician as i had what was considered a relatively mild hearing loss. It was good to know i had some control in a formerly untreatable condition. It is good to know that there are new developments in treatment. Having a great audiologist who uses best practices, like my audiologist, Scot Frink AuD , a member of your Hearing Up Network , makes the treatment process so much easier.

    The domes actually hurt for some people. The fitted molds are more comfortable. By the way, I love the colored hearing aids! They are beautiful! I have an emerald color hearing aids & am proud of them. 😊

    I noticed a typo after posting my comment. I know the term exoplanted should be "explanted" I hate autocorrect!

    Are you referring to reduction in actual sound or patients perception by using Leneire

    • @DrCliffAuD
      @DrCliffAuD  6 месяцев назад +1

      Reduction in annoyance of the tinnitus, not necessarily a reduction in perception.

      @@DrCliffAuDThat's difficult to believe given the comments in question are hardly 'inappropriate" and merely critical of Lenire. In any event are you prepared to answer the question about whether you are paid by Neuromod?
