  • Business email compromise (BEC) involves scammers posing as someone you work with - such as a supplier or even your CEO - to pressure you via email to make an urgent payment.
In this video, we’ll talk you through how this fraud works, what signs to look out for and how to protect yourself.
Remember we will never ask you:
    • to transfer money to another account for safekeeping
    • for your full personal security details or passwords
Never give anybody - even HSBC UK staff - your pin, passwords or secure banking codes over the phone, by text or in person.
For HSBC customers in doubt, call us on 03457 404 404. For more information, visit our Security Hub online: grp.hsbc/6052z....
Issued by HSBC UK Bank plc, part of a global banking group.
