Thank you Dewey...and congrats! It's a process....a journey...I'm still coming out about different things in my life, in the 3rd video after this I come out about yet another aspect of my life! It never ends and we all have our ways of doing so in a way that feels comfortable. I'm proud of you!
There's so much that I can relate to in what you say here Brett. Thanks for sharing! It really shows how much you've lived and explored to share aspects of your life in this way. I think your messages around "ruining the idea of what I was supposed to be" can be really helpful to others having a similar experience.
thank you!!! yes, I think we all need to abandon our ideas of ourselves as a fixed identity and let it constantly flow and evolve...there's a fiona apple line, 'I grew up in the shoes I thought I could fill' - time to kick off those shoes!
Now I am beginning at my 70ties. All the struggles you mentioned I recognised as those of my own life. And still struggeling I try to find my way in life. Think that it has been always like thuis. Familie, society is still disapproving... So what. I embraced myself , took care not to become bitter, forgave the hurters and life itself. Resulted in peace with myself and gained a greater sympathy for all these who suffer and got stuck. I am a happy man who reconciled himself with the pain of life , with the non-belonging and sonehow it made me stro ger in empathy with those at the bordersite of life. I feel in pain but gratefull for becomming a carrier for these who are burdened
Thank you for sharing your beautiful story. Embracing yourself! Loving yourself! This is what life is all about. Being able to face the storms of life and NOT get bitter is such a huge accomplishment, congrats! You are truly an inspiration. Feel your pain but also feel the beauty of what you've accomplished. FEEL EVERYTHING! That's what we are here to do. So much love to you.xo
