There are the "big three" of bass singers and it is Avi from Pentatonix, Tim Foust from Home Free, and Geoff Castellucci from Voiceplay. Personally I can't speak on the others but Geoff has a 5 octave range with the lowest note he has hit being a B0 and in a few songs going up to an A5 but in the spirit of spooky season if you wanna see the full range of Geoff you should watch their cover of the Ooogie Boogie song from the Nightmare before Christmas

They are the big 3, but all of the four guys in Bass Gang are moving up too. Tomi P has a SEVEN octave range. I'm still counting Geoff as my favorite though.

VoicePlay's take on Hoist the Colors is fabulous too. Really shows off Geoff's deep tones. But if you want to hear Geoff's full range, check out his newest, Ghost Riders in the Sky. The costumes are fantastic too!

Geoff's renditions of Sixteen Tons, Ghost Riders in the Sky (his most recent), Monster Mash, Far over Misty Mountains Cold are all very well done.... and as mentioned before, as Oogie Boogie, he hits a note which closed captioning deemed as "subterranean" because of how low it is... :)

These guys are the kings of Halloween videos. They're also known as the Theater Kids because they love to dress up according to the song. Most times like this in full costumes and makeup.
They are from Orlando Florida and all have performed at Universal Studios, Disney World or both.
Their bass Geoff Castellucci has his own channel where he sings solo (sort of). He also does dress up and make up but isn't acapella.
Between the two there are a ton of Halloween videos to choose from.
Geoff's new video released Oct 1st...
    Ghost Riders In The Sky.
    He prepared for 5 Geoffs.
If you want to know more about Voiceplay check out Huldra Draco's channel. She has many videos about these guys.

If you want to hear some major bass with the whole VP group (instead of Geoff's personal channel) check out Dragonborn Comes. Most of the time they're pretty balanced in sharing space; their featured performer gets a little extra time, and the rest of them each get about the same amount. So you get Geoff's bass, but not lots and lots of it. Of course, on his personal channel it's all Geoff, all of the time, so low bass is common. Between Geoff and VoicePlay they're pretty much the kings of Halloween. LOTS of covers from both. This is the second one VoicePlay released this fall, the first was "In the Hall of Mountain King."

Great reaction, Darnell! It's always fun to watch someone hear and see Voiceplay for the first time! If you want another spooky vibe from them, I'd go with Hoist the Colours from Pirates of the Caribbean 3, or Dream On.
After Halloween, We Don't Talk About Bruno, from Encanto, and I Can't Make You Love Me. You will see the variety they are capable of. Trust me, you will not be disappointed1

New Subscriber here… so glad you opened the VOICEPLAY door! Personally Geoff (Jeff) is my favorite of all the bass singers. Love Avi and Tim as well, but Geoff hits different. VOICEPLAY is simply my favorite acapella group, I love their theatrics!

Layne is amazing at effects and Geoff's bass is insane, he was very much in support this track rather than doing anything very obvious but he does soul stuff as well which you should check out where he sings all the parts.
Try the Dragon born comes for a recent track where Geoff is more obvious.

The singers' costumes are based off of the characters from the Haunted Mansion. Geoff (pronounced Jeff) is the bass singer and portrayed the caretaker. Eli (pronounced Ellie) was one of the portraits in the stretching room. Cesar (pronounced Sea-Sir) was Madam Leota in the crystal ball. Layne (the beatboxer) was the Hatbox Ghost. Lauren was Constance Hatchaway the bride.
Check out Geoff Castellucci's covers of Ghost Riders in the Sky, the Monster Mash, and the Headless Horseman for some more spooky bass singing.
Voiceplay also has some good Halloween stuff like Kidnap the Sandy Claws, What's this, This is Halloween, and Oogie Boogie's Song from the Nightmare Before Christmas. Friends on the Other Side is another spooky one.

Geoff Castellucci is the bass and has just released a new one Ghost Riders In The Sky. He also has 2 others that are Halloween themes (Monster Mash and the Headless Horseman) and VoicePlay has a whole slew of Halloween songs that are worth watching and reacting to: In The Hall Of The Mountain King, Oogie Boogie's Song, This is Halloween, Kidnap the Sandy Claws, Grim Grinning Ghosts, Superstition, Friends on the Other Side, Hoist the Colours, Queen in 5 Minutes, Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, Once Upon a Dream, Halloween Singers Go Psycho, Survivors: Zombies vs Hillbillies (VP vs HF), a trilogy - Trapped: Billie Eilish in 3 Minutes followed by Panic in the Disco Part 1 and 2. That gets most of their Halloween Stuff - may have missed a couple. The other VoicePlay members are Eli (rhymes with jelly) Jacobson a rock tenor (the guy in the human color here), Cesar De La Rosa is the guy in the globe who is a baritone/tenor, Layne Stein is the beat boxer, and Geoff is a 5 octave bass to tenor. The lady in this is Lauren Paley, aka The Stairwell Siren, sings in her apartment building's stairwell. Eli flew out to record her at her sight (stairwell is an interesting sound effect) and flew back to Orlando just in time for Hurricane Ian to hit. If you really get into what VoicePlay offers, you will have all the fans gathering around your reactions. Just saying.

You should definitely check out VoicePlays "Hoist the Colours." It's perfect for October because it's creepy pirates, lol. You can hear the bass and their true voices in that one more too. Their character voices are top tier though. I'd also recommend "Oogie Boogie's Song" for the Halloween season! It's the first one I ever saw from them and it got me hooked! 👻🎃

The VP video "Just Sing" has a Tim Foust cameo and I have to laugh at the way Tim and Geoff "side-eye" each other in it. I you watch it, be sure to turn on captioning, as it identifies each singer. Plus, CC for VP isn't computer generated and sometimes is hilarious.

I love VoicePlay's creativity, and their voices are mesmerizing!
For a bit of VP experience around Halloween, try their Oogie Boogie Song, that also shows what their bass can do (and he keeps improving).
The video before Hide and Seek is also amazing, "In the Hall of the Mountain King", just sheer fun!
Geoff Castellucci, the bass, also has his own YT channel, I recommend Ghost Riders in the Sky, Monster Mas, the Headless Horseman.
Truth be told, no matter what you pick from Geoff or VoicePlay, it's all fantastic.
To see VoicePlay and Home Free together, try Survivor (zombies vs hillbillies), it's great!

I totally agree with Joshua and Symphony. I'm gonna add if I could Piggyback off of their comments Since we're in the season of Halloween you should check out kidnap the Sandy claws as well as the ogie boogie song. You should check out the headless horsemen and monster mash to really hear geoff's ridiculous range. Its a solo bass cover So all the vocals are him. In the hall of the mountain king just came out like last month I think which is really good and and this is Halloween and grim grinning ghosts. Those are the ones I know about anyway And are on my personal playlist.

Oh my friend, you haven't heard Geoff go crazy on the bass yet - for that you should see VoicePlay's cover of "Oogie Boogie's Song" where he's singing lead and showing off his mad range, and his most recent release (Ghost) Riders in the Sky on his own channel Geoff Castellucci. Oh, and his solo cover of Monster Mash shouldn't be missed either!

He has a 5 octive range and can easily hit a C1 subharmonics. A good one to watch is the DragonBorn Comes cover. Loved your reaction!! Also, to let you know....when you do watch another VoicePlay video, sometimes they have a suprise at the end of some of their videos.

(updated) Speaking of "guy from Home Free" - watch Voiceplay's Zombies vs Hillbillies and Just Sing (the latter with CC on).

This isn't the best one for Geoff's bass... You should listen to some from his solo channel... I personally prefer his bass to the others. It sounds warmer and more rounded if you know what I mean....... Voiceplay's previous video, the hall of the mountain king is fantastic and funny... Am subscribing in the hope you will continue with VP and in association Geoff Castellucci.. 🙃
