  • The Baha’i Faith first came to Australia in 1920 with the arrival of John Henry Hyde and Clara Dunn. In 1924 they, together with Effie Baker--an Australian Baha'i--and Martha Root, travelled to Western Australia where they spent four months in Perth sharing the ideas of the Baha’i Faith on unity and harmony, inviting the audience to engage in meaningful conversations on building vibrant, inclusive communities, embracing the diversity of Australia.
In recognition of this centenary the Hon. Roger Cook, Premier of Western Australia, and the Hon. Shane Love, Leader of the Opposition, sent video messages to the WA Baha'i community.
