The bike sounds awesome! I've had two 900 SS's with the current one being a '93, which I've owned for 25 years. I've never had any problems with the bike and ride it frequently, clocking 46,000 miles so far. The styling of these 900's is really timeless and doesn't look dated. My 900 has a few goodies on it also and is in near-mint condition. I still get compliments up the yang and people literally drop their jaws when I tell them it's 30 years old! P.S. I've ridden that Bartlett Lake Road hundreds of times!
Yeah they're great bikes, my Uncle who owns it has said they've been going up in value in recent years too. This bike was dealer maintained it's whole life so it's been a pretty solid ride for him
That sounds awesome! I would buy a Ducati just for the beautiful sound it makes! I did ride the Ducati 996 from my nephew once on a little track what a AWESOME bike to ride!
The 900 SS SP is really a sweet ride. It is just too bad they have some annoying quirks which are tempering with the fun factor for those of us who are much of a mechanic. For those of you watching this from EUR, here in the US it is very difficult to find a mechanic that can work on those. Ducati dealerships usually decline working on bikes which are over 10 years old.
Be careful over bumps. Those bikes were infamous for their tendency to go into a tank slapper over bumps. It’s why I sold both of mine. As did two of my friends. All 4 bikes did the exact same scary thing.
Curious where this was filmed? I am looking at one of these right now (I had the follow up model back in the day). Great video, thank you for not overdubbing the usual rock music or other nonsense. To those who may be thinking, make up your own mind and see for yourself. I have owned several Ducs of this vintage and they are wonderful bikes.
Nice video glad you liked it. I have a 96 SP I love. I’m curious why that doesn’t have the oil temp gauge on the cluster, was one of the dif between regular SS and SP. These bikes look amazing when you switch the seat and rear tail for the “Superlight” style tail. Looks like a 90s Isle of Man TT bike
Nice. I looked and rode a 85 Rz 500 lc. I would of been heart broken if I dropped or laid it down. Decide to pass on it and let someone with garage take better care of it then I could. I don't think my back would like me riding it after work.

Mine does some serious speed wobbles when you hit a bump sometimes, but I’m still alive!
Are you kidding? I ride mine over the country roads of Australia, this bike is so good on the bumps. Is your setup right ?
Sounds amazing, love those sound bites. Growls!!
That motorcycle makes amazing music
Your lines are great!

Can't wait for the Duc Scrambler review!
I have a '94 Monster 900 with less than 7,000 miles.
My friend is giving me one of these, it has a crack in the crank case where the chain broke.
Nice bike, sounds great, but in this country the Twisties would be called straights....
Same here...from New Zealand.
