Tbh for me, Disney never tricked me. I enjoyed how these princesses were brave and good for setting an example for little kids like me. I know some of them dreamed of being married but some didn’t need them. I had already knew that life never had happy endings when I was a kid (based on death of stuff) but Disney gave me hope in those dark times to never give up, even if it gets tough.

Ok, guys, I did a ton of research and here’s what I found. I’m going to summarize to keep it short. The story of Peter Pan being the villain and Captain Hook being good is an interpretation or version, first created by Christina Henry in 2017.
The original character was created by J.M. Barrie, in his 1902 book “The Little White Bird”, which is an adult novel. These are my reasons why I am mad at Disney:
Making people think that your true love is a prince that doesn't even know you isn't right. True love is when you and the person know each other and love each other, not just meeting a prince and "falling in love" with him because he's handsome.
Why aren't there more black princesses? There needs to be more black princesses, they're amazing. I would love to see Disney make a black princess living in 2020, where she has to stay in quarantine and she does many things inside her home. But instead of falling in love with a prince because he is handsome, she falls in love with him because he's exactly like her.
Why aren't there LGBTQ+ princesses? There needs to be a princess that falls in love with another princess, but her parents won't let her marry the other princess because they want the princess to marry a prince, not a princess. And then at the end, the princess finally marries the other princess and they live happily ever after.
Why so many age gaps between the princesses and their princes? Snow White was 14 years old when she married the 31 year old prince, and they all knew that. I understand that the story takes place in an era where minors were allowed to marry older people, but let's not normalize that because there are children who are watching these princess movies and they do NOT have to be thinking that they should marry a person that is much, much older than them.
Disney should make educational princess movies so kids can learn more about what took place in that movie and not the true love's kiss part.
Umm they are from actual fairytales and they are also working really hard because this actual year is killing me and disney they might not have the budget because they don’t have the income
