You know, the LED strip just probably had a bad solder connection on one or a couple of LEDs, right? Or sometimes you may have a bad LED strip connector. I resoldered the dead LEDs on a bad strip to my TV, and removed the flimsy LED strip connectors and hardwired the LED strips together. My TV has been working great for a couple of years now after the repair. I saved the cost of new LED strips. You could have done an actual repair of the LED strip and also advertised your ShopJimmy LED Strip Rework Station - Single LED Replacement Tool, which works very well - I love mine!
