It’s amazing how your teaching method is impeccable in every video. Lately, I’ve been binge-watching your videos and learning a lot. Most other channels provide incomplete information (probably assuming that viewers understand) and too quickly. Keep it up.

The problem with Gnome Software Center and Plasma Discover is that they don't find everything you are looking for. Also if you install or remove something from there it won't tell you what else is to be installed or removed. That's why I always use Synaptic Package Manager because it tells you exactly this. Though I don't know if they have Synaptic on Arch. I am using Debian and the only other software Center I really like is the Mint Software Center from Linux Mint. As it finds everything and is much better than the others on Gnome and KDE. But sadly it doesn't work on Debian. It only works on Mint. Yes I have also noticed that Lightdm shows duplicate Gnome entries on the logon screen. I think it is a bug or something.

Yes, I think it’s a bug in Lightdm for compatibility with Gnome. Synaptic package manager is not available in Arch. It wouldn’t work because it’s downloading from the Debian repository. Most people using Arch find what they want from the Arch website and download it in the terminal. Manjaro has a gui app centre called Pamac and it’s installed by default. It can be installed in Arch from the AUR. It’s not available in the official Arch repository.

Can you plug your computer into a Ethernet port? It would be easier to an install. Arch has an easy installer. After you boot to the ISO, type archinstall. It will take you to an auto installer. Do a search on my channel for Arch Easy Install or Arch Auto Install. Yes, you can use my post install scripts in Endeavour. My repository is on GitLab not GitHub. They are two different repositories. If you can do your install with an internet cable, you might try the Gnome desktop environment. Gnome wifi should work out of the box.

@linuxmench2118 ah that's wot I did use the simple archinstall but first I had to do iwctl etc to connect to WiFi wireless, since I chose minimum, I should use desktop would hyprland still be able to work?

Did you get a base install? Does it have internet access?

@linuxmench2118 I haven't tried it again yet but I will later so I basically when I did it the first time I did the setup then I had to reboot then I was told to to do git clone and the github I didn't watch urs I watched someone else's that was doing arch + hyprland installation yea when I try that it kept saying unable to access or not found then I tried to ping Google and it said something about resolution so I looked up on how to fix it and no luck so I unplugged the USB and I waa able to boot back into windows 11 normally but when it sleeps for being invective it like an weird black out unexplainable

Are you dual booting or wiping out Windows?
I tried Hyprland a month or two ago and it didn't work for me. I think it had something to do with my graphics card. I think it uses a lot of resources.
Gnome is a bit heavy but I know WiFi works out of the box.
I don't show how to install WiFi in my videos, but it sounds like you know how to do that.
Why don't you try watching a few of my videos and download my post install scripts? The following videos use the Arch Install Script in GitLab repository for post installation. I suggest you try the Awesome Window manager with my configs or the Gnome DE. I don't have configs for Gnome, but it works out of the box with WiFi too.
