Many years ago I lived and worked at Orielton Field Centre (run by the Field Studies Council) just outside Pembroke. I visited Skomer a number of times. It's a magical place. Watching your video was like walking down memory lane - thank you.

That was great Hannah. I like the weather to be like this as it makes the sea a little more livelier. Obviously not great for you when trying to film though. Glad you got everything you were looking for, including the seals and the night shots.
Favourite Island ? I've always had a soft spot for Arran. Rugged and high to the north and then smoothens out towards the south, with great views of Pladda, Ailsa Craig and the Holy Isle.

Aw bless you, thank you. I wish I had more get up and go to actually MAKE videos but Ive been working so much lately and summer has been a big social fan fare since I'm not long back in the UK. Lots of catching up with old friends. Hoping Autumn will be a bit calmer and allow more time!

So many animals! It's like walking into the long grass in Pokemon haha. Also, typical British weather changing dramatically throughout the day. :D

Wonderful video! For me, this is the best of RUclips. I've always wanted to visit Isle Royale in Lake Superior. My son and sister have hiked the island and seen moose up close. The wolf population is very low at the moment, but I've been lucky enough to have heard them while camping near Lake Michigamme in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Thank you for allowing me to join your adventure! Sincerely, Ossie

Thanks so much Ossie. Isle Royale sounds beautiful. When are you making that trip?

Two years ago I was diagnosed with Lyme's disease. I didn't see any of the typical signs until a bacterial infection reduced the pumping volume of my heart to 30%. Luckily I was an active bicyclist and had a strong heart, so with medication it's back to pumping at 50% which is terrific. Lyme's still affecting my back and hips with arthritis so no trips for me in the near future. Be very cautious if you have ticks that carry Lyme's on your adventures!

Great adventure! I knew of Skomer and its wildlife but had no idea there was accomodation on the island. So nice to have it to yourself as well. :-)
I've always been interested in Steep Holm and Flat Holm - two islands near Weston-super-Mare. I'm due a daytrip to one of them at some point!

Great video! It's a beautiful island isn't it, we thought it was great to see that everyone was just there to enjoy the nature and nothing else. Our boat was a little more busy than yours though!

What a pristine and unspoilt natural environment to find one self in. Were there really that few people around? Great video and what a diverse variety of wildlife. Thanks for sharing.

There were very few people there. It felt very remote, wild and unspoilt.

Hi! I found a place on Google Maps that you might be interested in. It's Holy Island and Lindisfarne Castle and a nature preserve. At low tide only can you cross a causeway to get to the island. Yikes! Northeast shore of England below Scotland. Would be a cool video! :)

Fantastic suggestion! I would love to go there and it is most definitely on my list. I tried a couple of years ago but got the tides wrong and sat for a while in a long queue of cars waiting, but decided to return when I had more time. Thanks so much for the recommendation!
