I tried the recipe on Sunday, it turned out amazing. Never before have I used piyaz in chicken karahi but this was great technique of cooking piyaz for chicken. God bless you.

I made it today. Taste is simple. I think some salt should be used to marinate the chicken. Only salt and no water. The chicken was low in salt. Had to add a lot more. Probably the onions in canada are more sweet. Especially the yellow onion. The purple onions come from india and have same flavour as Pakistani onions.

here in london , i use the purple one for salad and the light colour ones for cooking
Yes this receipie is with Desi onion only. Western onion is bland and after cooking get more dull.
