Such a powerful scene, despite being so short. The imagery, dialogue and music are just perfect. I love the meteorite (shooting star) -that's the icing on the cake.
They were able to create this kinda magic back in the day. I don't know exactly what happened but somehow this art got lost. I miss this style so much.
I mean, there is a short comic where the millennium falcon crashes on earth and indiana jones finds the corpse of han solo (plus Chewbacca becomes bigfoot)
Brilliant. Great scene with John Williams orchestra backing it. Cinemaphotography was outstanding both foreground and background. Indy beats out Star Wars in this ole book.
Raiders and last crusade are awesome but temple of doom is my personal favourite. The most different, the most action packed and definitely the most adventurous Indiana Jones movie
That shooting star rEaLly refreshes the scene. It goes from WE DO WHAT WE HAVE TO DO but once the StAR flows through. It evolves into WERE ABOUT TO GO ON AN ADVENTURE. Outstanding if that was its purpose.
This was my favorite Indiana Jones movie as a kid, though I have since come to my senses and replaced it with Last Crusade. Still, when I saw it again and this scene came on, I was like... Damn, these chills remind me why this was my favorite
We had it on VHS when I was a kid and I watched it over and over again. I even just played the end credits so I could listen to the score. Raiders is my fave, but this one holds a special place in my memories.
Indy: "I think that somebody believes the good luck rock from this village is one of the lost Sankara stones." Shorty: What is Sankara? Indy: "Fortune and glory kid... Fortune and glory!" I'm looking forward for Indy 5!
@Michael Jordan It's unknown as to whatever happened to Short Round after this movie but, I can only assume that Indy put him away in an orphanage because Indy mentioned that his parents were killed and he caught Short Round trying to steal from his pockets and perhaps Indy felt it would be too dangerous for Shorty to continue adventures with him (especially after he and Willie Scott went through a scary adventure in a palace where they eat live creatures, hearts ripped out, and drinking blood of Kali) and put him in an orphanage to keep him safe. But for the 4th film, it had Indy's son named Mutt also named as Henry Jones III where Henry Jones III will be on a 5th film if they made one.
*Me starting up my first game of Terarria on PC* STANDARD MODE: Your journey begins... EXPERT MODE: Fortune and glory, kid I want to be smart here but the Indiana Jones nostalgia is just too much
This scene sums up everything that is wrong with the world... the war between those who honor nature and live with it, and those who seek to exploit its resources for power, for fortune and glory...
He starts off as a man who gets involve in a deal with the chinese mob willing to trait a priceless artifact for a diamond. And he only goes after the stones because of fortune and glory but in the end he returns the stone and the children to the villagers. Character arc
Indiana Jones, before Spielberg stole the salt, was a nice approximation of the Gospel of Holding Your Head Up And Speaking With A Low Voice When Your Pants Are Robbed Beyond Your Ankles.
Short Round finally got his fortune and glory!
not the fortune but the glory alright!
Hell yeah!!
"Dr. Jones I just won an Oscar!!!"
Short Round wins an Oscar, finally.
Such a powerful scene, despite being so short. The imagery, dialogue and music are just perfect. I love the meteorite (shooting star) -that's the icing on the cake.
Spielberg also has shooting stars in Jaws.
I only now just saw it...
It's so short because shorty is in it
Yesssss

The one dislike is from mola ram
And the other is from Chattar Lal
he survived the fall from the rope ladder and crocodiles?! He's tougher than I thought!
4 dislikes! That's a lot of Mola Roms!!
I bet one of the other dislikes is from Lao Chi and his son with the injured hand.
He betrayed Shiva!
This is the scene I thought of when Ke won the Oscar. :)
The shooting star is the millennium falcon in my headcanon
Never thought like that
joakim berg I’m just a weird person who thinks of that stuff
@@MegaSteven011 It´s cool

Ok George, no more edits please.
Mr. Quan winning an Oscar brought me here! Fortune and glory indeed!
Harrison Ford is THE action movie star. He's badass, but still human, and he can make any line iconic
A Great scene with a Great dialogue. What great magic's in those movies!

Last Crusade is a crock
Os dois primeiros são o que mais gosto. Mais o terceiro também é muito bom.
What is Sankara?
Fortune and Glory, Kid. Fortune and Glory.
I wish they would have done 12 Indy Movies! Keep pumping them out like James Bond!
Indy was such a badass in TOD
He didn’t back down ONCE and just kept going for those kids!
That shooting star rEaLly refreshes the scene. It goes from WE DO WHAT WE HAVE TO DO but once the StAR flows through. It evolves into WERE ABOUT TO GO ON AN ADVENTURE. Outstanding if that was its purpose.
This is one of my all time favorite scenes. thanks!
You call him Dr. Jones!
Doll !
I love the way Short Round says "Doctor Jones" :)
Fortune and glory.
Harrison Ford is the John Wayne of our generation.
I'm sorry but no
Nah... Humphrey Bogart, man! :)
Except Harrison isn’t a racist prick
@-it’s Jnr Wut?
Guess it's only you. =/
This scene hits differently after the Oscars.

Temple of Doom is best
Ke didnt get the fortune but he sure as hell got the glory.
Short Round was my favorite caracter in the franchise, after Indy! First place, Indiana Jones. Second place, Short Round! Best Indy's partner!
Came here after the oscars ❤
Scene gives me goosebumps to this day
Indy: "I think that somebody believes the good luck rock from this village is one of the lost Sankara stones."
Shorty: What is Sankara?
Indy: "Fortune and glory kid... Fortune and glory!"
I'm looking forward for Indy 5!
Here after the Oscars!
Short Round reminds me of a Bangladeshi child friend I had when I was 34, taught him to read and write, and he always cheated at cards.
INDY 5 should be about Indy and Short-round reuniting in 60s China...
Or China in 1970. Short Round has been training since TOD, and is most likely unstoppable now.
Yes
or 60s Hong Kong... Indy and Short-round in 60s Hong Kong. Wow, the HK 60s vibe ALONE!!!!
I knew it! The quote on terraria expert mode was referencing this!!
(The second I saw it I burst into laughter)
If they make a 5th movie, then I want Short round to come back.
You mean 4th?
@@DennepeerRelaxation I like the way you think.

He starts off as a man who gets involve in a deal with the chinese mob willing to trait a priceless artifact for a diamond. And he only goes after the stones because of fortune and glory but in the end he returns the stone and the children to the villagers. Character arc
Goddamn the music of Temple of Doom goes hard 🔥. Love this scene
Athis from the companions
yeah thats why i came here :D
That's how you end a first act...
What “Hollywood” and acting means to me.. Fortune and glory..
More like fortune and soulless.
Does anyone know what part of the soundtrack this is
Teraria references
Theme name?
Someone's playing expert mode
does anyone know what the soundtrack title is for this music?
@JMT Productions sounds like „Slave children crusade“
RUclips: "I have inconfutable proof that this film is Jurassic Park and thus i will list it as such"
Dokta jone
"Reach the slumbering sanctuary for the first time"
Btw only dead cells players will understand

Of course not. The star is now almost 80 years old, and Disney is going to make a fifth Indiana Jones film.
