Have to agree with Rory. To beat Man City, and this applies to Liverpool as well as Arsenal, the maximum number of games you can lose is 4. Arsenal lost to Villa twice, Fulham, West Ham and Newcastle. They lost the league by two points. So if we lose this weekend, it's arguable that we can't lose more than twice between now and May, still needing to play Liverpool at Anfield, City at home, Chelsea home and away, Villa at home, Brighton away... not to mention all of the potential banana skins at the smaller grounds (Luton almost shocked us last season, and I can see Ipswich doing something similar).
Not true. This arsenal team aren’t losing with 11 players… the 3 red cards are an aberration. Rory is wrong - city have lost Rodri - their best player. They WILL drop points
I agree with that bloke, there will be no perfection this season, it will be a tough grind. The chasing pack like Chelsea, Villa, Spurs, Newcastle, Brighton, ManU etc are all capable of beating the top 3 on their day.
this going to be a 85 max winner , none of the teams are good , Liverpool have been lucky ,city not the same without rodri and Arsenal have no fitness this season
Seems to be a lot of people predicting Liverpool to win. As a Liverpool fan that concerns me greatly, Arsenal are a very good side and at home, we would much rather be going there as underdogs rather than favourites.
Yes last season Arsenal are 5 points behind Liverpool ahead of the showdown at the Emirates, that is the game is more tension than this early of the season...
I think this early in the season, a point is a decent result for both. It also depends on the side that Arsenal can put out. If they’ve got as many injuries as suggested then I, as a Liverpool fan, will be disappointed if we don’t go out and win that game.
This was meant to be the year for Arsenal but they bottled it in the summer transfer window. They need to win the FA Cup or Caraboa Cup this season or serious questions need to be asked. Arsenal gave up on the Premier league and Champions League by not signing a Striker and having washed players like Sterling, Jesus & Zinchenko still in the squad.
i remember one season liverpool were like 12 points behind city in december, we won more or less every game for the rest of the season and we finished a point behind them. If arsenal lose to us on sunday they’ll be 7 points behind us so after that they have 2/3 more slip ups before december then it could be beyond them cus you’d expect one of us or city to go on a crazy run
The best result is a Liverpool win. Pushing Man City to their limits again. The worst result by far is an Arsenal win, Arsenal still level on points with City even if City lose (they won't... They'll trounce Southampton), Liverpool get 0 points advantage over City, pretty much all in City's favour. A draw is an "ok" result.
As a liverpool fan I would love the 3 points. But I understand if we play super defensive for a draw. It would make an anfield win. I'm also interested in the banana skins Forrest will give the top 3. They're playing good football against big sides
I agree with a lot of what Rory said… for once, but his argument about a good point doesn’t make sense to me in this scenario. If there was 5-10 games to go and they were a few point behind liverpool they’d need to win of course, they should’ve tried to beat city near the end of last season, whereas right now a draw is ok cus the gap from u to the top isn’t growing it’s staying the same.
90 points to play for, and it's already a "must win" for Arsenal. Arsenal, with ten players, lost one and drew 2. You ask for dramatic exaggeration, I give you Rory Jennings...
I find it funny when I here "pundits" say - 'Liverpool have had an easy start to the season', especially when these same pundits are quick to say - 'The EPL is the most competitive league in the world'. The contradiction is frightening. Truth is, there is nothing like an easy game. So give LFC and Slot the credit for what they've done thus far and stop scrounging for empty narratives to undermine their form. The table doesn't lie at the end of the day.
Eight games played, thirty to go, ninety points still to win. I don't think a loss at this time already means dropping out of the title race. Bit silly to say so, really.
False. You’re wrong about it being essential. This is an arsenal team missing 5 starting players of which 3 are ballon d’or nominees… guaranteed arsenal will improve - they WILL get players back. You’re behaving like arsenal are fielding 11 men every game and haven’t lost top players?!
Yes City and Liverpool will drop points, but so far they dropped alot less than everyone thinks Also, are Arsenal fans that deluded to think that a.) They won't need 90+ points b.) That they won't drop points at the same points as City and Liverpool?😂
Everyone is talking nonsense. If Liverpool beat Arsenal at this stage of the season arsenal will not be out of the premier League title race. There are 20 over games to go for this season. Manchester city Liverpool or arsenal could go on a few games of bad results later on.
momemtum is key, if arsenal lose at home and it's a second loss in a row then they have to go away at Newcastle and away at Chelsea, this is really really Bad so they have to win
No they absolutely won't 😂 all these deluded liverpool fans getting carried away with their easy start thinking cue ball slot is gonna ace his first season against pep 😂 Absolutely deluded
@@Willrulz2 This maybe Slot's first season but this team has a strong collective thatv has got 90+ multiple times before. Without injures this team is absolutely capable of 90+
More like 90 87 wins is either 29 matches won and probably not winning 9 times which is a joke considering City and Pool can do double over about 16 teams in the league
I find it hilarious as an arsenal fan how it’s always arsenal that HAVE TO WIN in any of these big games. Liverpool draw or lose no big deal. Arsenal draw or lose. ABSOLUTE DISASTER!!

I think 92pts will win it. Means 4 losses & 5 draws.

City haven't lost since December last year in the prem. Liverpool have the best defence in the league. I'm not so sure.
I think 92pts will win it. It means 4 losses & 5 draws. You can't win the league in Oct/Nov, but you can certainly lose it.
this going to be a 85 max winner , none of the teams are good , Liverpool have been lucky ,city not the same without rodri and Arsenal have no fitness this season
Seems to be a lot of people predicting Liverpool to win. As a Liverpool fan that concerns me greatly, Arsenal are a very good side and at home, we would much rather be going there as underdogs rather than favourites.
It’s nonsense: in January last season they were further behind Liverpool. We lost ONE game!!!!!
Arsenal 1-2 Liverpool pin this

Nice to see an Arsenal fan talking about Arsenal
The next 3 games define our season and I think as arsenal fans we need to strap in because the next 3 games are going to be very very looooong.
I agree with a lot of what Rory said… for once, but his argument about a good point doesn’t make sense to me in this scenario. I agree with Rory man if you're gonna beat city you need minimum 90 points
Running out of time and it's not even december yet..TF, y'all should pipe down...
90 points to play for, and it's already a "must win" for Arsenal. Arsenal, with ten players, lost one and drew 2. You ask for dramatic exaggeration, I give you Rory Jennings...

Problem is now arsenal are without key players for awhile
Not really, a draw still puts them in the race this early on.
You missed the context
Draw is the best result for City
Load of rubbish!! This is not a “must” game for Arsenal or Liverpool. But it’s a must not lose for both.
we're still early.. if we lose to liverpool i agree its over.. but with a draw everything is still open.
I completely agree, Rory.
It's more about running out of "lives" tbh, more than time, i.e. Lfc lost a life against forrest
Eight games played, thirty to go, ninety points still to win. I don't think a loss at this time already means dropping out of the title race. Bit silly to say so, really.
If Arsenal lose this game they'll need to take 72 points or maybe more out of 87. It won't be looking good
Rory they’ve lost one game, and they are about another 😂 ha ha Arsenal fans you thought I was about to back you
Arsenal have to lose to get humbled. It's for their own good.
Aren’t Arsenal already out of the title race after failing to win at the Etihad? relax guys nothing is decided on game week 9
False. You’re wrong about it being essential. This is an arsenal team missing 5 starting players of which 3 are ballon d’or nominees… guaranteed arsenal will improve - they WILL get players back. You’re behaving like arsenal are fielding 11 men every game and haven’t lost top players?!
Is this dude even a Chelsea fan anymore?
Yes City and Liverpool will drop points, but so far they dropped alot less than everyone thinks
Also, are Arsenal fans that deluded to think that a.) They won't need 90+ points b.) That they won't drop points at the same points as City and Liverpool?😂
This fixture is not pivotal at all, it's october
It's seems not "pivotal" now however, come May you may look back in October and say 'ah, that game cost us'
@Andre-hm5vo no for arsenal's point of view it would be the Bournemouth game
It is gonna be around 90 points Rory is right mate
Arsenal will loss and then go on a 11 game winning streak finishing half the season on top
Liverpool once lost 1 game had 97 points and came second. We all dont know how and when the league will be lost
Lose*
And arsenal have no players or momentum to win 11 in a row...
Arsenal 1-2 Liverpool 📌 no saka, odegaard, calafiori Liverpool got this fist
If Arsenal lose they got 5 big games ahead all potential banana skins, can see them drawing 1 or 2. Pressure becomes huge
LFC 😍😍
