Belinda, I just came across your video and it speaks to me on several levels. I am a travel photographer/writer about to travel to Indonesia for the fifth time, to finalize material for the book I am writing. I have not been a professional writer or photographer but as enter retirement I find great personal reward in this. I feel called to use photography to help people understand people who are different from us. I look forward to seeing more of your videos.
I loved hearing your story. Thank you for sharing. I’m sorry to hear about your parents. I am always pushing my family for more photos of everyday life things and of monumental moments. My nephew knows me as the crazy picture taker. Aunt loves her pictures. He will grow older one day and appreciate my obsession with photography. 😉🫶🏻 I really appreciate your videos and insight. I’ve been taking photos on and off for years moving around as a military spouse. It’s been hard trying to really focus in on what makes me happy. I have so many bad photos but, the memories behind capturing them are wonderful even while learning taking the bad ones. Thank you again for sharing. Your presentations make me excited again to keep learning and practicing. 💗
Belinda thanks a ton for all the tips and guidance… I have watched 100s of photographers videos for tips to learn I found your clearly stands with crisp and clear points on what camera and lens to use when and where also which lighting what to shoot.. I really love your videos and you presentation the way you teach is clear and beautiful like your photos.. lots of love from India thanks for these videos ❤
You have a marvelous channel, and your story is inspirational. Keep putting out quality information. I am a Fujifilm Camera User (The GFX50R and GFX50SII), and these are my commercial and studio cameras. My run-and-gun camera system is my Fujifilm X-T5, X-H2S, and X-Pro3. I am getting ready to go to San Francisco and want to take on one of my GFX Cameras, but the lenses are so big. I used to live in Monterey, CA, back in the 1980s :) Lol, so I will also be visiting the Big Sur to photograph. I think I will take the X-T5 the XF16-55mm f2.8 and the XF50-100mm f2.8.
God bless you. I found this video so inspiring. There’s lots of bad in the internet but there’s lots of good. This video is certainly in the latter category.
I had to hear the advice at @ 17:26 ! I guess I haven’t taken the 10000 shots yet 😅. Will continue to take them till it’s less crappy . Thanks for sharing !
A7IV is a fantastic all purpose camera. Not an upgrade, just a second camera along side my Canon R5. It was a replacement of my Sony A7III though, definitely worth the "upgrade" if that's what you meant.
In Thailand, there is a reality photography program called One Pic Big Dream. that is looking for photographers from Asia. To participate in season.6 if you are interested.
