I use a mod that gives Special Weapons the ability to refill ammo, because I truly believe it gets outclassed by most weapons. (Maybe because I play community maps which have their “balance” all over the place.)
I feel like the deagle is sorta the worst secondary for that in my opinion. The low ammo amount of the deagle+the grenade launcher’s one ammo per clip makes it so you can be left without a bullet to fire, while with melee or double pistols, you have no ammo or 30 bullets to handle stragglers.
Pu-lease do a video on the cut survival maps! I've got fond memories of glitching out of the hotel map to access the the rollercoaster survival map. To this day I'm not sure why it was never made as accessible as the rest of the maps. Is it weird? Yes. But it's still fun!
@@yoturaliaz6205Yes. The starting the roller coaster was the way of starting the timer. After that you could even run all the way to the saferoom (although it was locked).
@@yoturaliaz6205 It worked the same way it did in campaign mode, not like you could ride it or anything. It was very odd because most of the map and its items were inaccessible until you start the roller coaster and map timer. I figure for that reason it was made unselectable from the main menu.
4:00 a similar glitch existed in TF2 a long time ago before Valve patched it out. It involved shooting pipes as demoman then jumping to spectator causing friendly fire since the grenades are now assigned to the spectator team. I think the grenades are being assigned to spectator hence why they instantly down the survivors here.
Yeah this is pretty much what I'm suspecting too. It's not magically turning into a physics prop (which makes no sense) Also related to the launching, no. It's not the explosion doing the work, although it can stop downward velocity. Basically for some reason all the projectiles in L4D and L4D2 collides with player's etc. hence why you can I.E. block the tank from climbing a ladder with a molotov or get launched by a spitter. Basically it's possible for you to land/touch the projectile and inherit the velocity (although I don't know why in some cases you can get launched in the opposite direction of where the projectile is going horizontally.) Which means yes, you could probably down/kill someone with fall damage as a spitter if the stars align. I'm kind of disappointed how the whole physics thing etc. is passed on as hard facts. Every day I have to cope with people who thinks the TF2 coconut actually crashes the entire game if it's missing.
@AvastAntiPony9445 the coconut thing started as a joke, don't know how many people truly believe it to be true Like that "Cut 10th scout looking class" that I forgot the name of
I find it crazy that, this game, one of the game that I played the most in my life, has STILL people making really well made videos about it. Love you all.
5:55 - If you make a video about the cut survival maps, I've got some info you may find interesting. Although the TLS update added back some of the cut survival maps, not all were added back, and the reasons why aren't widely known/talked about. - The coaster map was worked on a lot, but its core design ended up being too buggy for a longer holdout: Infected kept getting stuck, and eventually you'd reach a point where barely anything was coming after you anymore. The stuck infected also caused director acid to spawn randomly, and the one-way drop caused a bunch of balance issues and confusion for players. You could really feel just how buggy it was, and it was generally just really boring to play on. - Swamp Fever's unused survival map (Which was by the lever/bridge event) ended up being cut due to the layout not having much going for it; You'd just get on a rooftop and sit there, without any other depth to the strategy. It was also an incredibly buggy area with infected easily getting stuck or failing to pathfind to the player, so the entire survival area was relocated. - The rainy Burger Tank map was found to be too poorly balanced, and when it was re-balanced, it played out identically to the regular burger tank map, except that falling off the rooftop was unfairly more punishing due to the water slowdown, so it was left cut. - The rainy sugar mill had the same issues; Played the same as the regular version, except it felt more unfair, so the survival area was relocated to somewhere more interesting. I'm probably forgetting some tidbits, so I'm just gonna finish by mentioning that the cut maps (which weren't replaced) were left in and accessible, rather than removed or tidied up, specifically so players could still try them out if they wanted to.
Grenade Launcher is my favourite weapon. You can use the splash damage to take out or stumble and slow down hordes. I often do a jumping shot to add accuracy
3:30 Same premise of going to spectator after shooting a rocket existed way ago in early Team Fortress 2, the same effect happened that you would do friendly fire with it on your team. I guess similiar line of code in the Source triggers it
Classic Source jank. Team Fortress 2 also had this exploit with Demoman or Soldier where launching a rocket/pipes, then switching to Spectator, would reassign those projectiles off the team, thus hurting your teammates. Had no idea L4D2 had the same problem. Also for the grenade launcher launching teammates, you could also launch teammates in TF2 with the Medic's needles fired from his Syringe Gun.
ehhh... Blast jumping is the result of damage doing knockback. (Which is why rocket jumping doesn't work inside of Godmode) While this is, funnily enough, other players riding the grenade projectile itself as it has collision. This is why you can also use bile jars as well to do this trick. Hell... Technically - Since the Spitter's spitball is a projectile before it hits the ground - You could also boost off of that too! Ain't Source engine jank fun? :D
Left 4 Dead 2 is perhaps the perfect example of a game that appears quite simple on the surface, but actually has quite a lot of depth.
100%, soooo much high level stuff in the game
Pretty much all Valve games are like that lol. TF2 is another good example

I always ran a grenade launcher and magnum whenever possible.
I would use dual pistol
@jesswalk1068 For me whenever the rare occasion I go dual pistols I always start humming the bank shootout from Matrix
@@HyliaKumatora lmao, i only play that way because of revy from black lagoon and laura croft
