This battle was really about song selection. There was intonation problems on both sides. To say UAPB beat dega or vise versa it’s not it tbh. Felt more like a tie. Or a slight edge to dega. UAPB strongest section was their trombones and sometimes euphos Degas was their mellos and euphos UAPB tubas , euphos and trumpets need to work on their intonation, sound, and balance. Degas band ( trumpets,trombone and euphos at times )has to focus more on blend and dynamics within their arrangements so it add more color like how UAPB was at times. Their bones need to be heard more too. But to say UAPB beat dega by a huge margin is a no. They’re gonna come up but need more time and exposure and a different setup on how they come together in block band.
This was closer than i anticipated. Some of tdc songs sounded unrecognizable. I see mr g must of had a drink before this parade. Cause he was having to much fun good battle on both ends.
