Love this video. I just started a vanilla play through on ae. It’s a bosmer who became very close with the orcs. He uses two hand hammers and functions in combat like a barbarian/beserker- but to keep up with the orcs he keeps close with, he became a dedicated alchemist to “performance enhance” his combat. Then just became obsessive and explored all the other uses he could create. This video series is helping a lot.
It took me awhile to learn there was basically loads of gold literally everywhere if you take the time to pick the ingredients. All this time I spent overburdened carrying 20 warhammers for a few 100 septims when I could have 100's of potions worth so much more. Once I get the merchant perk to sell anything to anyone I never have to worry about gold again
I'm surprised you haven't mentioned fortify carry weight when it comes to essential potions. Invisibility is super good. I needed it when my character was a little underpowered for the Potema boss fight. If you are out of healing potions, consider drinking invisibility to safely leaving the room full of Draugr and cast some restoration magic on yourself. Invisibility seems useful for purposes other than stealth.
I would probably use the fortify lockpicking if I didn't get completely tired of the mini game and do away with it. but I agree, it should be used more.
When you said Nirnroot respawn, it gave me flashbacks to Oblivian, where they do not respawn and the one quest in the game where you need to gather 100 which is basically almost all of the Nirnroot in game.
Don't forget the 8 Nordic Barnacles in the moat outside Dragonsreach. :) I like to save Frost Mirriam for a potion with Wheat and Purple Mountain Flower that causes Damage Stamina Regen, Magicka damage, and you are harder to detect. Two more dragon buster recipes: Dragon’s Tongue, Snowberries, Thistle Branch Dragon’sTongue, Purple Mountain Flower, Snowberries
I'd forgotten about the Barnacles at Dragons Reach, sadly I couldn't include every recipe otherwise the video would be a feature-length film, so I hope people read the comments and pick up on these, thanks 😃
Nice to find useful videos rather than the usual top 5/10 items/tips lists that echoe each other over and over. Just in time for my first play through as well. It's like the God's decreed it.
I watched to the end and took copious notes as well as saving the video in my library! So beautifully presented and well researched, I’m impressed and grateful 😊
This is absolutely terrific. Very in depth and quite helpful! I love the map with area highlighting, especially. That is a very nice touch. I’ve never used archery potions and it looks like I’ve been missing out. Liked seeing your lady with dual daggers, too. They’re my go to, but not very common.
@@TiddlyOggy Thanks - yes, they help. Speaking of 'Rare and Curious', I'll check it just out of curiosity because I'm not going to use alchemy mods - for now at least.
Thanks my friend, but I'm a believer in you get what you deserve, I think quite a few people like my stuff but many more don't, otherwise I'd have more subscribers
Much appreciated, if I had a million subs I'd probably upload more videos, but it is what it is and tbh I never thought I'd even get 1000, so I'm happy enough with that
You deserve more views I just garden it all Enchant fortify alchemy Put perks until level 100 and make a couple of useful potions Then I make it legendary and garden and harvest all ingredientes again until I have enough perks to keep alchemy on 100 in my tree perk
Thanks fella, I think I don't get that many views because a lot of people don't want to watch the longer videos or maybe they just don't like my stuff, who knows ... Yep the gardening thing is something I do, but I always say from the first second you start playing gather all the ingredients you can as you wander around, that's why I always head to the college to get a room there with stacks of storage !!!
@@TiddlyOggy yes I get it! I gather all I can to! Buy a house so I can store it! I like your videos There are lot of good youtubers than people do not know. Maybe it is not pratical enough, not public enough. Though I like the videos ;)
Hi mate i like your videos i am inspired to make an alchemy character , can alchemy boost and help level most the perks i need for a stealth assassin ?
Thanks for that, I really enjoyed the video especially in real English, I've had to write all the ingredients down longhand after my printer died but at least it's done now and I have a useful reference. I never made any potions before, I just sold the ingredients I acquired and bought the potions, not a very efficient method I'm afraid, also I have no alchemy or magic perks so I may have to sacrifice some combat skills to free up some perks.
21:30 what do you mean with glow dust (1st effect) Do you have to put glow dust as first ingredient? Or how can you choose this first effect... I don't really understand what I should do. I have the glowing dust, hagraven feathers ( also 1st effect?) and some butterfly wings. Help please lol
@jessica the (1st effect) means that for that ingredient, damage magicka in this case, is the first effect if gives to a potion/poison. Ingredients can give multiple effects, they can have first, second, and third effects depending on when mixed and with what. Check the description or search Skyrim Alchemy Effects Guide and there are some great resources with very in depth details. Hope this helps.
Thanks guys I have already a much better understanding of the game. It's my first elder scrolls game. Bought in in January on switch and have played the hell out of it now. I'm addicted lol
