Can you use this Plasson drinker through the adult stage. How many drinkers you need for 1500 chicks or adult birds?

You can, and it would depend on if you are relying solely on the bell drinkers or if you have additional water available. Since we have various additional waterers available both in the brooder and out on pasture, it is hard for us to say accurately how many bell drinkers alone you would need.
I bought my plasson waterers used. How much water should I use for ballast?. They are the same model seen in video.
about half full should be enough! that's what we do.

What’s the ratio of water to sugar for the day-old chicks when they come into your system?
Great question! We mix one cup of sugar into one gallon of warm water. We typically use the flip-over drinkers for sugar water for the first few days that the chicks are in the brooder.

The Plasson system is definitely worth the cost for a larger flock, but a smaller flock may do just fine with another watering system! What do you use?
