I remember buying this watch 2 times. I can say this is the most beautiful - tough - rigid - durable - Practical watch I've ever seen. One thing I liked the most in this watch was how it used to light up its backlight whenever I wave the watch. It was the far most advanced watch for that time.
The old "epoch time travel" stories where you had a tunnel that let you go 50 years forward and 50 years back but always that amount, so "time passed" on both ends at the same rate.
I think it’s because there will be times such as the afternoon of December 31 in the United States where it’s already January 1 of the next calendar year in Europe or Asia. You need to be able to set different years in situations like that.
Why am I only now seeing this video!? I actually had this watch years ago as a kid. I lost it on a field trip and was so pissed. I searched all over and never found one again. I ended up getting a Casio db36, closest thing I could find in term of function
Great video!! Here is the really weird thing… it’s been 5 years since this video and I’m surprised that no one else aside from yourself has mentioned this dual timeline functionality glitch.. (conspiracy theory to keep this watch’s rare functionality hush hush?) I now have the new Huckberry Timex Ironman Flix 2023 Reissue which also happens to be a faithful version of your Ironman.. so faithful that it too happens to have this Dual Timeline option which blows my mind. The only person that can use this type of functionality would be a time traveler.. which makes me wonder, who designed this watch. Tbh, the way this is, it does feel like it comes from a different reality. Maybe I’m just used to G-Shocks, but this watch from it’s button layout, programming and all the extra functions, makes me think that it was designed from a different multiverse. I happen to own 80+ watches and this particular Timex Ironman Flix is the only watch that can do this type of functionality, which makes it a rare cool oddity. Thanks for making this video. I would never have known this about my watch until you called it out.
I actually use the two time zones as we work with people in different counties so it’s useful to know what time it is there. Too complicated though. The watch is painful to use. The T5E231 is a much better Timex with time zones plus interval functionality.
I agree this model is Timex taking a shot at beating the GShock although i’ve had severalCasios over the years and had good luck with all of those i must give Timex a thumbs up because these watches have one up on the G Shocks and that’s PriceTimex has these out there on Amazon and other Venues for $29.99 that’s pretty inexpensive IMO for a Water Resistant watch of this depth i’m coming up my 60th birthday pretty soon and i got my first Open Water Scuba Diving Certification in the late 1970s back then it was nearly a thousand dollars to purchase a150meter Water Resistant watch and back then it was Seiko and Pulsar that had the better Dive watches for the money of course Pulsar was a division of Seiko
Brilliant watch ,mine is at least 12 years old ,only on 2nd battery although 3rd strap, nato 18mm. 2nd time zone is brilliant. Not sure about it's water resistant as changed battery myself. Mine has been to a lot of different countries over the years and now lives in a draw.
Countries like Japan and Taiwan still number their year differently while month and date follow gregorian calendar. but if you set the year that way the calculated day of the week wont line up right. Speaking of, a fun way to use this function is to look up the day of week of a certain date. like your wedding anniversary or your kids birthday... was that a wednesday? but that is limited by the year range of the watch. however i think the programmers who designed this watch simply duplicated the function to give you dual time. its just laziness. 😂
Sweet, i just got this watch because I have owned two of the original Timex Ironman triathlon with flix tech. I like that watch so much that when I recently put a new battery in one of them i was reading about it on the internet. When reading about the original one i already had i found out that Timex and a company called Huckberry did a collaboration and released this new Timex Ironman triathlon with flix tech, the same one your talking about. I like the new one but the older one is 10× easier to set and use all the functions and the display is a lot bigger and the numbers date and everything else is a lot bigger and less cluttered so it's so much easier to read you basically just have to glance at it real quick.
But by far one of the coolest things about both these watches is the "Flix Technology". You just have to flick your wrist a little and the indiglo light illuminates. Awsome.
I wish they would reissue the whole line again. I really like this grey and black combo. I am glad they rereleased this model though. Gotta get one.
they did this. we can buy it now

I prefer the timex
I only use my Timex when I drive my DeLorean.
Or if someone is filming a movie and need to shoot the watch for a specific date that could be the watch to use.

You could use the different yeat to track different calender systems like the Hebrew or Hindu year, maybe.
I have lots of g shocks....i wear my ironman every day....the end

Ok, you had your fun with it. Now give it back to Doc Brown.
Never!

Could be used for extreme time zone differences where the date would be different

Yeah, I don't care about that function. What I like about this watch though is that shiny green screen.

And now i know that just incase, i can time travel with this LOL. THX FOR YOUR VIDEO.
I was looking for a video on how to set this one because it was a lot harder to set than the older one.
I have a friend who is a time traveler. He does t wear a watch though. Cool guy, but very tight lipped about things
Are you going to buy the reissue and do a review of yours and the new reissued Flix?
I only found out about the reissue a couple of days ago. It would make for a cool follow-up video. I’ll have to see how much the new one costs.
@@SuburbanPathfinder Price is a little high. I got it so i wouldn't wear out my original one with the giant display.
Cool video 👍
Wish timex would come out with this version again. Seems impossible to find one in good shape for a reasonable price
i suspect the channel owner would happily send you his dual timeline watch...
It has been re - issued few days back.
@@ThePhaneesh Yep I just got mine. I like it a lot.
@@deanl6590 Enjoy it dude :)
I like the yellow color screen. Why did they get rid of that?
I do not know. It was very distinctive.
Cool channel man! I want to buy that watch 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
How many millimeters it has?
The Avengers was used it when they try to steal Infinity Stones😁
😂😂😂
Is this watch still in production, cuz I'm not able to find one.
No. I’m afraid it’s been out of production for some time.
It's been reissued a few days back.
@@ThePhaneesh where at?
Would you sell it im very interested
what about substitution strap? It's easy to swap to other supply? Green dial is customized?
Yes. The strap is attached with spring bars and would be relatively easy to swap out.
The green filter on the LCD screen is factory original.
I cant find a band for this unfortunately, can someone help me
I was able to fit an 18mm nato strap on mine.
A watch that works like a time machine?
Seemingly.
@@SuburbanPathfinder what means seemingly?
It means, “It would appear so”.
@@SuburbanPathfinder but it doesn’t appear yet, right?
I can’t find it in online stores, can anyone tell me how to find it?
It’s been out of production for quite a few years now.
It got reissued a few days back.
Cool 😎
Would you ever sell it? Or trade it for an equal value item?
I hadn’t really thought about it. Can’t imagine it’s worth a whole lot.
@@SuburbanPathfinder I know its been 4 years but does it still look as good as it does in the video?
@@tristanhinojosa2993 yes. I haven’t worn it at all. I’ve changed the battery a couple of times but I think it’s dead again.
@@SuburbanPathfinder if you’re cool with parting ways with it I’d love to be the next owner of it.
@@SuburbanPathfinder I can send my email info.
Model?
I believe it’s the T66801 or the T51931.
9 MINUTES!?!?!?!?!?!?! bruh.
I guess???? Bruh
This is the best watch .... Flix NA33
Can I buy it from you?
I’m afraid it’s not really mine to sell. It’s my dad’s.
Thanks for watching!
@@SuburbanPathfinder can you ask your dad?
