Man oh man, Jetman, what a show. Why did it have to end like that. I was both sad and mad at that ending. Still it's a great show with great characters, the story was great, the villains were savages except for Grey I cared about him going into the back half of the show. I also agree that Raita and Ako are more background characters they don't get any focus episodes. Sometimes they share them with Ryu, Gai and Kaori
The premise of Jetman is taken from elements of the OG Gatchaman series. The dynamic between Gai and Ryu is basically based off the dynamic between Joe and Ken from Gatchaman. With the exception of the romance. Kaori is Jun The Swan. So much of influence from Gatchaman its not even funny. And yes Gai was my favorite character in Jetman
I liked jetman for the most part ryu and gai are fantastic charicters even if ryu was a bit of a hypocrite at times hey guys we need to not keep secrets meanwhile he wouldn't tell anyone about Maria or hey guys we need to not do things on our own meanwhile there was a whole episode were he was gonna give away precious information of the jetman to vyram so he could get Maria back but they called him out on it so it's not as bad as current red's who will do that shit but somehow be in the right and no one will call him out on that and raita and ako we're fine I liked them but Kaori is probably my least favorite charicter she didn't do much besides the love triangle and she was a bit annoying her worst moment without a doubt is when she tells Ryu to forget about his girlfriend who just died and that she'll win his heart that was just terrible but she did facilitate some development for gai and ryu so she wasn't God awful but o still didn't really like her the villains were great radigut was fantastic he was cunning and outright scary at times like with the demons he was also desperate to kill the jetmen with his own hands to the point he even saved ryu from death by the hands of tranza grey was my favorite villain he was ironically the most human of the villains his love with Maria was done better than ryu and Kaori imo and speaking of Maria I like her but I still don't get why she was a thing radigut didn't know about ryu at the time at the time so wasn't to fuck with him personally and the villains were in a free for all battle so why would he bring in even more competition for himself that just confused me but her stories with both ryu and grey were done well and tran/tranza was a crazy fuck and I liked him he was just so intimidating as tranza and his ending was so fucked up you would never see something like that now a days over all jetman is a great sentai but I just don't think it's as good as other people make out
Jetman is one of the better ones I will agree...tops...well its up there as one of my personal favorites, but the ending is tragic and we will never ever get an ending like that in Sentai again. Now I have seen Denjiman and Sun Vulcan and those are my favorites but Liveman and Dairanger are my tops and Im still watching Megaranger but so far so good. However I watched Zyuranger before I watched Jetman and to me this was much better than Zyuranger. I still think Dairanger is better overall, but I kinda go back to to this show because its good.
I finished this show like 10 minutes ago and now I can see this episode without getting spoiled! And speaking of spoiled, my impatient ass spoiled the ending to Jetman months ago (It was on the Wikipedia page) so I knew what was going to happen, but it still got me a bit in the feels regardless. Excellent show, but now I don’t know what the fuck to watch next!
@@tjhooker824 already saw it. I didn’t hate Kou as much as I thought I would (he just needed more time with the team) but I hated the ending just as much as I thought I would! Other than that it was an excellent show. Not as good as Timeranger but I’d still watch it again!
There's always that one person whose sworn duty is to say something is overrated just because it's popular 🙄 Now if you don't like it, that's fine. But there's a reason why it's so hyped.

With Jetman, I feel like they wrote a ton of different scripts for the ending and then used all of them.

Raita had some focus episodes, like the one with the tomato monster or when his childhood friend/crush paid him a visit.
