- A coalition of health advocacy groups will march to the Gauteng Department of Health offices.
Section 27, Cancer Alliance, and the Treatment Action Campaign are calling on the department to use R784-million rand set aside by Treasury towards cancer treatment.
The advocacy groups say there are about 3000 patients on the backlog list waiting for cancer treatment, while the government has failed to spend the funds.
Head of Health Rights at Section 27, Khanyisa Mapipa and Dr Ntsakisi Maluleke from the Gauteng health department spoke to SABC News.

Perhaps the time has come for a forensic investigation, to find out who is right in this dispute. It's public money, and people are suffering.
