You should look into low carb diet if you suffer from anxiety. I've been doing keto/carnivore for last month, I've lost 5kg all water retention has gone and my anxiety has more or less gone completely.
I'm almost 59 and I really don't care what people think about me now, as you get older you lose all the insecurities of youth. It's very liberating. I bet once you get organised you will be onto a good thing, especially as spring is on the way.
This is so true, as you get older you start to not give a shit about what others may think of you and your lifestyle. You only get one life and so enjoy it the best way you can because you never know when that day comes when you can no longer do it.
So true, getting older does have some plus sides. I could never go back to living in the mental prison I was in in my 20s and 30s, caring so much what other people thought, always at the back of my mind was a desire to be accepted and liked. But as you experience life you realise that SO many people are lost, misguided, clueless, chasing things like luxuries, status, more digits in their banking app, their priorities are so far from what is truly important to a human being, almost universally, happiness, love, authenticity, things that nourish your soul, cheesy to say but true - why try to impress folks who are that clueless & misguided? It's daft, I just feel sorry for my peers, in their 40s, 50s and they're still chasing things that ultimately never end up satisfying them, outwardly they've got a appealing looking life, nice cars, houses, eat out at fancy places, go on £4 grand holidays, wear designer gear (and often brag about it all incessantly). My anxiety, that I thought would cripple me forever is no longer a huge overbearing monster that controls my every move, it's more like a little mouse in a dunce hat, still there, still tries to nag at me but it has lost all its power.
It's good to see that your first night went well in the van. You'll soon get into a routine and you'll soon not care what people think. I enjoy your honest open style of vlogging. Easy and entertaining to watch. Looking forward to watching the next instalment. Cheers Gaz

Just found you and watched your videos in reverse. First good luck with it all. Having a shower at the local Jim and or swimming pool is van life. Suggestions for heat. Boil the kettle and fill a hot water bottle. As you found cooking the pizza, just boiling the kettle will warm your small space. Maybe just warming your piazza pan for a bit will be enough to warm the van up. Once the gas is off the pan will still give off heat for a bit.

@@bythecurb your welcome. I really beleive that this last two years are a test for some of the strongest people to overcome hardships and adversity.... but there is lessons in all we go through. You seem like a very empathetic kind human.. but I can tell that others have taken this kindness for weakness. As has happened to myself also. My advice would be never to change your empathy and good nature... but when your circumstances change again for the better and they will change... do not forget how people treat you and how they talked about your struggle. That goes for friends and family. For now keep persevering and things will work out brother. God bless you

Just a thought and you probably already know but you can buy a waterways key on line which gives you access to all elson stations on canal network. Most have showers and toilets and bins to put your rubbish.

Hi have just subscribed earlier today! I am fascinated by van life vids. I have seen packing cubes highly recommended for van life. I was thinking that joggers and sweatshirt would be much better than pjs- then you said it! You can probably leave a set of clothes in your parents' house and then in your girlfriend's house. They might wash and dry them for you by the next time you visit. That way you have time to wash and dry just the few things you wear during the week. G Ire PS you're right to try to avoid going outside to get bed gear or warm jumper... Did uou say you had a trap door? Sorry, was typing while vid was playing You're right about being organised. I call it "tight and tidy"!
Good video, proper real. I work away a lot and, live in weekdays in Transit Custom (self convert) with nice touches. I do have a lovely home to go back to, but love the van life. I do stop at campsites mainly, as electric hook up a bonus, but sometimes stop in car parks. Keep up good work and good luck 😊

Anyway hoping it works out, as being in a similar position with maintenance costs and the general cost of living etc, it’s something I may look at doing myself in the near future.

All the best to you mate I'm a new subscriber but enjoying your vids takes me back to when we we living in the Luton camper for a couple years certainly had a lot of fun, you will be surprised how quickly you adjust to van life, feels weird to begin with but that passes. Just out of interest how are you running your electrics, is it a leisure battery and split charger? I installed a split charger on the luton and it was the best mod i ever did we have a couple of heavy duty leisure batteries when were in the sticks and a charge / electric hookup when where on site.

Hi have just subscribed earlier today! I am fascinated by van life vids. I have seen packing cubes highly recommended for van life. I was thinking that joggers and sweatshirt would be much better than pjs- then you said it! You can probably leave a set of clothes in your parents' house and then in your girlfriend's house. They might wash and dry them for you by the next time you visit. That way you have time to wash and dry just the few things you wear during the week. G Ire
PS you're right to try to avoid going outside to get bed gear or warm jumper...

Good video, proper real. I work away a lot and, live in weekdays in Transit Custom (self convert) with nice touches. I do have a lovely home to go back to, but love the van life. I do stop at campsites mainly, as electric hook up a bonus, but sometimes stop in car parks. Keep up good work and good luck 😊

Don't be afraid ,just enjoy the freedom of the open road,will be great when good weather comes, suit yourself you don't need to prove anything to anyone.I am 69 year old woman and have spent weeks at a time camping on my own.You will get things in van fixed the way you know what best works as you go along.Great you have places to stay off and on, God Bless enjoy your van life,your little girl will love it.

All the best to you mate I'm a new subscriber but enjoying your vids takes me back to when we we living in the Luton camper for a couple years certainly had a lot of fun, you will be surprised how quickly you adjust to van life, feels weird to begin with but that passes.
Just out of interest how are you running your electrics, is it a leisure battery and split charger? I installed a split charger on the luton and it was the best mod i ever did we have a couple of heavy duty leisure batteries when were in the sticks and a charge / electric hookup when where on site.

Just found you over Christmas, doom scrolling 😂, but you’re really good, nice down to earth kinda chap, I love van life channels adz is one of my favourites, some try too hard and come across all wrong, also as am in case you’re wondering 🤔 I never mind channels doing advertisement or product placement I mean how else are you supposed to make a living from RUclips, so as far as I’m concerned go for it… new fan for sure 👍
