@@arturoa8754 Dude, watch almost any low budge sci-fi movie or tv show from the mid 20th century and you'll probably see characters dressed in shiny or reflective clothing and materials. That's why I made the comparison about the shinny boots. Feel free to look at my RUclips channel if you don't believe me. High heels were first worn by MEN! High heels (as we traditionally think of them) were initially created for King Henry XIV of France. High heels were initially used by Persian soldiers to keep their feet firmly inside stirrups. By the 17th century, Persian men began wearing heels when they were not riding horseback. Wearing heels began to be a symbol of wealth, power, and money. Under King Louis’s rule in France, he passed an edict that decreed that only nobles could wear heels. The height of the heel and the color of the heel was used as an indicator of how privileged, respected, and wealthy the wearer was at the time. The red heel showcased wealth and power because it showcased the lack of dirt on one’s shoe and that the wearer was rich enough not to get his shoes dirty. Long story shorter, many "women's fashions" of today have origins that trace back to menswear, including wigs, corsets, and most definitely HIGH HEELS!
