Thank you to you and your crew for highlighting this fantastic show Dennis! We had a chance to connect with you Friday night on a street corner as you were walking back after dinner. This show is fantastic-having you join with your crew this past year made it memorable!
The guy with the Scout really has something special there, the condition for being original is amazing. Sad to hear is dad passed just a few years after buying it when the owner was still a kid. What a gift for his mother to hang onto and care for it before giving it to him. In my mind the condition of the truck directly reflects the love and admiration the owner had for his father. In taking care of it so lovingly he keeps the memory of his dad alive, who I’m sure would be proud to see it today. Automobiles are interesting like that - just transport to most, but for those who ‘get it’ they can become something so much more important.
I find cars are like good food. People will forget every disagreement or dislike and hang out together and just enjoy each other's company. I think you could stop every war by having a car show on the front line.
That Charger is absolutely perfect, I love the day 2 stance with the cragars and white letter tyres! So much cooler to see one like that than just restored completely to stoock.
Thanks Dennis. I watched all these cars when you published them separately. They sure are even more awesomer together. I appreciate all the different cars at the Springfield car show.
Hey Dennis great video. Met you at Corvette Funfest in Effingham, IL a few years back before CoVid hit. I will say to those who read this, Dennis in the videos is the same Dennis in person. Keep it up as long as you can!
2:38 I would have liked to been there just to see the 70s Opels, they were great little cars. My best friend growing up had a Manta always wanted one of them myself.
@@CarenConner I stopped attending. Once the corvettes and dodges started taking over. I spent a 1 1/2 days prepping my 1949. I got to the showgrounds and I got turned away. Why? Corvettes everywhere. Taking up real estate Brand new! The man standing at the Gate tells me I have to park my 75 y/o car over there somewhere where the spectators are. That's when I decided, these shows are not for me. Then of course with brand new cars. You get what? Young kids. I have a 49 Hudson, 57 Studebaker, I'm done.
That's what TV's for. RUclipsrs want to get right into it. The RUclips eps aren't bound by the rigid time specs of TV and can run a lot longer. They're kind of a different animal. Maybe one of these days we'll release a video of just TV opens and closes for viewers that like them. There are a lot of good montages in them. 🤔
Do you have ANY proof of your Statement?? CALIFORNIA has hundreds of CLASSIC car shows every year from the elegant Pebble Beach Concours d' Elegance to every weekend small town cruises and the TWO LARGEST gay car clubs in America!! Several of the best automotive museums are in California also NOT TO MENTION jay Leno's massive Collection!! And BTW, IT's "you're" a national treasure not ...."Your" a national treasure, BIG DIFFERENCE,!! .....god help us!!
Over 1k cars. But how many are classics and antiques? I've just about stopped going to these meet ups. Two years ago, about 15 2023 vettes took over and just as many dodges. I had to park my 1949 in the spectator lot down the road. No more cut-off years in place, no more 50s doo wop music pumped in.
It’s Tammi Savoy! She’s out of Chicago but does a lot of national and international shows singing 50s/60s music. I definitely recommend checking her out!
Dennis, love your videos. But, when you upload using the multi-language feature, I'm getting anything but English when I download to watch later. Please don't use that feature...
Are you downloading for offline viewing with a RUclips Premium subscription? We've downloaded this episode for offline viewing and it plays back in English. This is a newer feature so it could be buggy.
I love early 60s Mopars. The stranger the better. All 60s cars are great. But that Exner style is awesome

I remember that encounter. Good times!
God! I love that Green Plymouth Belvedere! So unusual and so well done.

Fabulous fabulous fabulous. The Mercury to finish, sublime.
Best Belvedere I’ve ever seen.
Perfect color combo. 😎👍
Enjoyed!!! 👍👍
Absolutely love the Anglia. Such a sweet ride

Loved the video - great show. Makes me want to get a toy out of the basement and go to one soon. Happy motoring.

It’s really a good event!
Dennis is MY hero.

I'm pretty much what you see is what you get. It's all I got. 🤷♂️
I have always loved the Imperials with the floating headlights.

"They just stuck a couple flashlights on it & called it a Belvedere"
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Great cars
Love car shows. Used to work at one. New experience every time.
@@CarenConner there's tons of showroom new cars there. What's there to enjoy?
@styldsteel1 Classic cars don't have all that electronic crap new cars do.

@styldsteel1 We had all kinds of classics, even a monster truck and a fire engine
@@CarenConner nice. I love classic fire trucks. So cool. I fancy the brass era trucks. Man those are nice
Union Illinois and Maple Grove Illinois do some killer car shows too every August and Labor day
Did you guys know thats Dennis singing those high notes in the intro song, the Scout Traveler is still my fav from this episode
I agree with you on the Traveler. Not so much on the high notes. 😅
Absolutely love first gen Chargers. I would love to have one with the console and bucket seats. A manual would be great, but I'd take an automatic
I like it way better when you show the production shows. Opening/closing music. That's what I miss.

That '61 Ply Belvedere is what Toody and Muldoon drove as NYPD cops in "Car 54 Where Are You" :)
You are correct, and I had forgotten that!
11:13 Anglia Estate front looks like the Daimler w/mini Hemi
❤❤❤😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
😎
never leave us Dennis, your a national treasure for car folks, California trying to ban classic cars, god help us

Yep
I don't know. I'm just happy people are playing with cars. From my perspective, everybody gets to play!
@@MyClassicCarTV I get that aspect for sure. But these were the places where'd I'd get info on how to care for a 49 Hudson straight 8.
I hear ya. Ya can’t get that info just anywhere. 😁
@@MyClassicCarTV truer words can't be spoken. But all that complaining I do, I look forward to all of your videos. ( more true words) 👍
Takeovering ishardbut they definitely takeovered thistime!

Very cool, Is NOVEM still available anywhere?
Novem film and soundtrack is available on RUclips
The last guy should'a been driving an old Lincoln...
I appreciate those pinups blocking the car they're there to appreciate....
They're not there to appreciate the car. They are there to be appreciated. And I certainly did!

The last few years this show has gotten smaller and smaller I stopped going a couple years ago
There were close to 1000 cars there! How big do you want it to be??
@MyClassicCarTV I stopped going because my brother I attended the show with died of cancer ...not because of the show getting smaller
Sorry to hear about your brother.
