Watching à guidebook of France and being french is really funny , ton français est très bon et tu connais très bien notre pays tu devrai déménager à Paris 🤣 love the video ❤
22:05 slight correction: dunkirk is known for when british forces evacuated in 1940 due to german forces successful breaking allied lines. it was normandy that was invaded during D-day in 1944
I love listening to these in the background while I’m working, and then every so often you say something like “there was a little case of a beheading” and I have rewind 🤣
Actually, Provence-Côte d'Azur (PACA) was never part of Italy. Only a small portion (Nice county) was under Savoia (Piedmontese) rule, before Italy even existed as a country ! I love these videos, keep it up
I been too various country’s around the world but never our neighbours only on a school trip a million years ago too the obvious Calais and boulogne but looking at the various places and scenery in your video I think you mr.82 have persuaded me to take a trip across the good old English channel at some point in the near future, thanks for that great insight my friend!
Man let me tell you France is great. Normandy in general is good, Le Havre, Lyon, Bordeaux, Dijon are some of the places I've been and they're all great
It's funny how they have Split the régions in the south west . Not with the historical région and not with the administrative région. Dordogne is orginaly a smaller région around Bergerac, Sarlat ... Inside aquitaine. But i believe that because a lot of english imigrate here or go on vacation (it's the old région of the plantagenet ) and because your Book is english they made it a lot bigger ! Great vidéo thank you ! 😊
Preservation of the native language is vital to the survival of a culture so I understand and appreciate why France would only have their signs in French - it is their sole official language!! In Ireland, we had our native language Gaeilge forcibly removed from us by the British crown as part of their colonization process. Chapter 1 of the colonizers handbook is to eliminate the native language as this also results in the decimation of culture and history from a society, given that both are connected to the native language. I think it would look very odd to see English language signs in France. Viva la France!
As a Welshman who had to learn Welsh, I totally agree. But I meant that Disneyland is not French, it's an American amusement park built in the most reachable place in Europe for all Europeans. Therefore, having signs just in French when there are Hungarians or Finnish people there seemed weird, why not bilingual at least? In Spain, those signs would possibly be in English, French and German, for example.
But the French are the colonisers, no one wants to occupy France and stop them speaking French. The reason to put other languages on is for visitors to be able to find their way around more easily. Irish people don’t need to be in solidarity with the French in anti-imperialist grounds, we should be critical of them.
France is like the UK, Vietnam is like Ireland to France. The French forced the Vietnamese to speak only French during colonial rule. Solidarity with all colonised peoples.
Heyyy. Love your videos and your style of explaining. Could you maybe do a street view tour of India sometime? I am from India and i would love to see it!❤
Also, whilst I think about it, I've noticed in a previous video you had made the same error that you have made here so I will point it out. French cities that are called "aix" (be it Aix-les-bains, or Aix-en-provence) are pronounced "èx"
Regarding Nantes (where I was born and all of my family still lives there) : historically, Nantes and his region were, indeed, a part of Britany until 1941, due to a decision of the infamous maréchal Pétain. But I consider myself a true "Breton". After all, Anne de Bretagne was born in Nantes and the "Château des ducs de Bretagne" is in Nantes, not Rennes, Vannes or Brest 😁!
I was waiting for this new video to come out to ask for a longer video and it came true keep up the good work
Hope you enjoyed it!
Just thinking same thing.. then realised I’d be asleep inside 5 mins anyway… but I want to see how dedicated he is 😂❤😉
Yes ! Another video about France 🎉
Hope you enjoyed it!

I live 10 min away from Lille and my school is there, I can confirm the the city is beautiful, especially the old part which is sooo cute
1 hour🤯 Merry Christmas
D-day was in Normandy in 1944. What you ment was the rescue-operation of the British expeditionary force in 1940
Thanks for correcting me!
Fun fact: when Peter Jackson was dreaming up what Minas Tirith would look like, he used Mont St. Michel as the blueprint.
That must be absolutely true, because it looks so similar!
Oh wow this is actually an incredible video it's made me so happy

It is a beautiful country! I think ppl judge French people based on Parisians too, but Paris is so different to the rest of France 🇨🇵

@@WelshASMR82Maps Ah yes I understand now ....in that case, it is a bit different and does make sense. Loved this new video by the way.

Really??! 😲 I'm surprised. Merci beaucoup pour l'aide!
As a Breton from Brest, glad to hear you stress that we're cousins and that your preference has to go to Brittany.
Always! 🖤 🤍
Quebec canada is also the same in regards to wanting to protect the french language
I can understand that more as Canada is bilingual and English has a lot of status there. French is well spoken in Europe.
@@WelshASMR82Maps canada as a whole is, but in quebec french is the only official of the province
PLZ put this on your Spotify 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I'll try and remember!!
