Thank you! I’ve noticed these past couple of years, in Colorado they are now saying “Drive Sober” on their variable message signs above the highway. I low key believe this video played a part in that! 😉

I need personal loans to finance personal expenses let alone business expenses. I'm not trying to be religious, but there is no gain consuming alcohol and getting behind the wheel. I'll imagine someone paying $206 per month insurance and the DUI surcharge brought it up to $420 per month. You can't even rent a car with some rental companies if you have a DUI on your record or be restricted. I street preach outside of establishments that serve alcohol and people get behind the wheel buzzed. I know that because some people approach me leaving the club and their faculties weren't right getting behind the wheel.
In GA things are a little different. If you dont take the blood test your license in automatically suspended HOWEVER you can get them back if you file an appeal with your license called an administrative hearing. But when you plead guilty for DUI they will be suspended again but you can apply for a hardship license to drive to work and get the regular license back in 120 days. Interlock is when your on your 2nd or 3rd. Then you have to take the 3 day DUI class, community service and pay the 1600.00 DUI fine. They will put you mostly on probation for a year but you will survive the crisis. I represented myself and did not use a lawyer.
Appreciate this feedback. I still wonder after all these years as I know many changes have been made like the interlocks now have a camera and who knows what else they may require now. So again, thank you. Wishing you the best on your journey.
Got mine in 2010. Blew a .23. 6mo suspension, 64 hrs comm service. And around $4k fines. Crazy how easy I forget about all those headaches and sometimes find myself ready to drive after drinking. No more.
@Endless Nameless Yes. I now stay in, but if I know I will be going out, I always have uber/lyft ready. Hope your Friend is doing well and she listens to your advice because if the second one didn't stop her she will get locked up.
You Helped Me Towards My Anxiety I Am Feeling... Yes We All Screw Up Getting Pulled Over... It Is NOT Fun, But For Me Is A Lesson, Do Not Go Threw A Yellow Light... LoL
I used to get DUIs back in the 80s. Fortunately I never hurt anyone. DUIs are much more serious today than the 80s . ( Legally ) They really throw the book at you now days . I quit drinking over 20 years ago.
What helped me with my case was getting an attorney taking steps on my own to showing the judge that I had made a mistake I joined AA 9 years ago when all of this happened three months later when I went to trial they had taken into account what I had done on my own getting my sheets signed at every meeting I went to and presenting it to the prosecutor the day of my trial I had thousands of dollars in fines and the cocktail college to get my license back along with an interlock ignition device for a year I still attendAA regularly and today I lead a life second to none for those of you who are doubting of what the program can do if you have the ability within yourself along with the program you certainly won't have to worry about blue lights behind you
I’m so glad you found something that worked well for you. I just want to point out that not everyone who gets a DUI is an alcoholic. The impact a DUI has can be devastating and leave one hopeless about their future. Myself among others who have shared their story here, like you, have found that their life can improve, and this improvement can be made without AA. If people need AA, they certainly should pursue what is in their best interest, but not everyone will need AA because of a DUI, or to change their life. All is possible. Overcoming this situation is very possible as is not getting into the situation again. Utilizing whatever means to prevent that from happening, depending on your personal needs. I like how you called it “cocktail college”. Thank you for sharing your story and what worked for you.
@@advoK8great and I agree with you that not everybody that gets stopped is an alcoholic however those steps that I took did indeed help me in final outcome where it showed intent on my part for taking responsibility for what I have done and they didn't take all that into account and some reductions were in fact enacted it's funny you've never heard cocktail College before that class was an absolute joke they try to teach you how to drink responsibly and before we left she was assuring us that at least half the class with the back in her situation at least one more time I made up my mind I had paid out too much money
Good choice! DUIs and all they entail can be very costly and not just financially but emotionally as well. I know mine took quite a toll on my mental too.
I've gotten one and my attorney recommended DUI recovery court which last 12-15 months. There's random multiple urine test weekly as we as some other thing's think are excessive. Or my case will go to trial which I have a domestic, DUI and two condition of release violations.
They certainly don’t make it easy! And for good reason though as there have been and could be even more detriment involved. I am always very thankful that my DUI wasn’t a worse situation and that I’ve learned from it and am no longer willing to behave so recklessly, endangering my life and others. It does sound like quite the lengthy process ahead, but I would like to remind you to focus on the positives, one of them being your freedom and that you and others are alive, and safe. Take it day by day, you will persevere!
You're fucking awesome dude. Don't change anything except the whole drinking and driving and not because of a law do it for you and others. But ur great anyway.
I got my license taken away when I got charged with a dui .. got a lawyer and pleaded down to public intoxication . And to put the icing on the top . The cop never submitted my loss of license to the dmv and so I got my license back without any reprimanding..
You need a lawyer. I paid $2500 for mine. I avoided about 8 hearings that went on for a year with that. The cops were idiots and failed to suspend my license during that time which he even died laughing about and said they were idiots. I bailed myself out in the morning hours before court because it was important to me to not be around the disgusting people in the “drunk tank”. Also that money goes towards fees during court- just so you know, so it isn’t “wasted” like they tried to make me think. I was sentenced to one year with probation no community service. One drug test and I had none after that. My lawyer got my OWI expunged after one year. Sometimes they can do that if you’re a first time offender. You don’t have to go to classes, or at least I didn’t. I just went to a private therapist, which I paid $100 a month, which isn’t bad, and that was it. This isn’t a death sentence people.
Your video was so helpful! I just wish you talk about what to expect on the dmv hearing. Mine is tomorrow and I’m so anxious not knowing what to expect.
Thank you! Overall, if the cop shows up you automatically loose your license. It’s pretty black and white. I did my best to defend myself in an effort to keep it... single mom, working full time, etc-didn’t matter. The officer showed to the hearing so I lost it (for 30 days). Best of luck!
This is for Colorado (el Paso county) your area may be different. If it was recently I’d definitely see if anything can be done (utilize the Covid situation?). This is definitely the type of ordeal you have to research and just take initiative on yourself. Hopefully the rest of it works out for you.
Just so everyone knows and to disperse the myth "The officer might now show up and so every and any charge against you will be dismissed" BS. Officers as well as Highway patrol officers can just conveniently get on the phone at any hearing time and testify and it counts as them being there. No need to be present and not up to you anyway. This is 2018 and they have adjusted so they don't have to take an active duty cop just to show up and testify for every single person. Same with court: Those who tell you ' well the officer won't show up' well, they DO show up. Be prepared.
This is the most helpful video I’ve found. What I can’t seem to find any advice on is if I need a lawyer or public defender or attorney for my first dui misdemeanor
Thank you for the compliment and comment! I think I’ve answered this in a comment before and I may make a video.... I paid for one and can’t remember if it was an attorney or lawyer... an attorney is someone who handles business for you and a lawyer is someone who practices the law. I felt who I hired really just followed the law and expected consequences/ sentences. Really they just spoke on my behalf-didn’t really put up much of a fight to lessen anything and would have done the same thing thing as a public defender. I don’t think I’d hire one again, as they didn’t seem to make some huge difference. I’d call around and get some consults (some offer a free consult) if you are interested in hiring representation. Specifically tell them what you want/expect to happen and see if that’s even an option. Hope this helps. Best of luck!
Thank you so much ! I love in the state of California. Got stopped in Los Angeles and I’ve never been arrested before or been in trouble with the law for anything so everything is new to me. Trying not to get so overwhelming and just prepare myself for the court date. Thanks
I’m also confused as to pleading guilty I thought the consequences were straightforward so I didn’t plan on hiring someone and pleading guilty and now I’m seeing that that’s not a good idea lol I’m so confused
Caroline Stacey it is very confusing! That’s one reason I dislike being involved with the system! I ended up pleading guilty to a lesser charge (reckless driving I think) I still out down that I had a DUI on paperwork, so that was stupid in my opinion again, it is confusing! Research what you can, ask questions, seek advice.
Im 17 and got a dui in the state of Colorado. Im horrified and ashamed, not to mention that I barely have enough money to pay for this disastrous financial burden. Can I ask if you had a public defender?
I paid for an attorney. I would suggest you call around and see if any have any free consultations. I can understand the way you feel but hopefully you have learned from this and will be grateful that it wasn’t worse! It does get better, you will make it through this!
Of course...in hindsight, everything changes. Not only that, but watch my “MANIFEST Monday DUI”...I had a ride home that night, (and I don’t mean the cop car ride back to my house) I just refused it... more in the video mentioned above.
I just got my first DUI and going through a lot. My court hearing is due in Jan 2023 but I’m scared of the outcome as I blew 0.14 and was stopped for speeding 55/70. Failed all the FS tests. Had no other factors on the arrest. I was jailed when caught and spent 10 hours in the jail. This is in Virginia and I’m expecting a mandatory license suspension for an year. I might be permitted to drive with a restricted license but with the interlock installed. I need to have full coverage insurance on my car as it has a lien. How much does the car insurance go up after the suspension if we have to get an FR44 insurance?
Keep your head up, you are at the beginning of an enduring process but can make it through! I'm not sure as far as an FR-44- I had to get an SR-22 and my insurance only went up a few bucks a month. Mind you that was many years ago.
Just got one last night. First DUI, wasn’t even driving. I was asleep in my car when someone called the cops and they found weed in my car and I smelled a little like alcohol.
You’re not alone. In the DUI “therapy” class I had to attended there was a guy that was ticketed for a DUI / DWAI for the same reason. Sleeping in the car. He was trying to fight it as he said he had thrown his keys to the backseat, proving he had no intention to drive, if I remember correctly he was actually waiting for his ride because he wasn’t going to drive intoxicated, and fell asleep in his car.

I live in California and ive heard that they just passed a law that dismisses dui charges for alcoholics because its a disease. Do you know anything about this?
That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Don't believe it. I have yet to hear of any state dismissing D.U.I. charges for alcoholics. They would more than likely laugh in your face.

My apologies on the ridiculously late reply. Feel free to share what you decided and how it turned out as it’s been 2 years at this point. (And like 7 years, isn’t there a statue of limitations?)
Just wanted to share my experience with you guys. Woke up in the hospital with no understanding of what happened. Had a severe broken arm in multiple places. Couldnt remember anything. Nurses told me i was in a bad wreck and lucky to be alive and that I was the driver. ( i was picked up by friends and had no intention of driving someone elses vehicle so was so confused on why and what happened) and didnt even consider that anything regarding a dui was involved. Two weeks later im told by the friend who owned the car he was just arrested and bonded out for dui and i needed to turn myself in. My whole mindset was destroyed at that moment and didnt understand. Again had no memory due to severe concussion so it all hit me at once while in a ton of pain from injuries. Hired an attorney and waited 8 months to this day today and my attorney was giving me absolutely no hope with winning case ( no blood was drawn/ no breathylyzer/ watched the video today same day of final prelim court and he gave me 2 options. Plead guilty take the charges/ or take a chance and convince judge to let me go to trial with the cop and jury. Told me i had less than 10% chance of getting dismissed and or getting to trial due to DA having the only say so in what happens with my case. Also my state has one of the highest death by dui rates so they have zero tolerance or sympathy which in reality i agree with. Families, Children, Innocent people lose their lives to drunk drivers. My state also never will take dui off record and there is no option for plea lesser conviction. I was hopless. 80% of me believed i wouldnt ever drive drunk and wanted to fight it but couldn't afford the 10k for trial and or chance of being arrested same day if judge believed cop over my word. So attorney said either plead guilty and start the process or take a 10% chance of fighting and winning in trial. Said to wait in court room and make my decision while he went and spoke with the DA. I was distraught. Ended up in my head givin up and decided to plead same day so i had time to turn myself in within 14 days and process what i needed to do. BUT THIS IS WHERE THINGS CHANGE! Luckily i basically had done tons of research and if had decided to fight the case (before i knew the costs of trial) had written my own case out if i had to represent myself. I went over what i had written down with attorney and he told DA what i had done with my research. One second i was scared shitless accepting my fate next second attorney pops his head out and asks how i feel about dui being dropped and getting just a ticket for running stop sign. I was estatic and felt so blessed. Was the first case in 5 years to be dropped. Point is. If you dont and truly dont think you were past the level of intoxication and or other circumstances than do your research show the court you are smart and do everything you can to fight the injustice of cops taking advantage of easy convictions. There is hope. I beat my case today after a year of such uncertainty and anxiety for what was to come. They will make you feel as if all hope is gone but dont give up. I know this won't apply to people who know they are guilty but if you are like me and believed that you were charged wrongly FIGHT FOR YOURSELF. DONT LET ANYONE FORCE YOU TO TAKE IT FACE DOWN A$$ UP BECAUSE YOU ARE SCARED IF YOU WANT JUSTICE FIGHT FOR IT. If anyone needs someone to talk to i can help with how handled my feelings before i found out last second i wouldnt have to plead guilty. REACH OUT you always need people to help you.
I'm from England, I just got arrested I blew 70 Do you have any idea what I'm looking at ban and fine wise I don't work at the min due to severe depression
Hello. I have a court date on the 25th of June. I have to report back due to.not having an attorney to represent me in the court room. At this point, idk what to do. I'm barely working. They also took my blood before I got locked up. They placed me on pre trial... Any suggestions or any advice for me please? And this is my first offense... I've just had a misdemeanor back in 2008. That was it...
This video inspires me to start a company providing interlock devices, maybe dmv services, or anything. Seems like Americans just need someone to whom pay money to get problems solved. Edit: lol, American problems solved, haha
There are taxi, Uber and Lyft to get home. Nowadays, there is no excuses to drink and drive!!!! It does not cost that much to call Uber and Lyft. Would you rather pay $20 for Uber and Lyft or pay $10,000 for a DUI????
FIRST dui should ALWAYS be their last. DRIVE SOBER and don't put innocent people at risk for death. You learned from your mistake thank God. Sooooo many people don't.
@Jen farmer Shut up Jon? Nice respectful tone. OK Jen - you offered a completely ignorant response.. How you could argue in favor of rolling the dice and driving after two or three drinks vs. driving sober.. Wow. I just hope you're not in my state and on the roads my friends and family are on each day. I just hope you wise up before you hurt an innocent person on the roads.
@Jen farmer i could include 30 articles about how level of impairment increases after each drink but i'm gonna end the dialog with you. That "go eat a can of bug Raid" told me everything i needed to know. you drink and drive.. never gonna change your mind.. but glad you're not on the streets in my town.. I pray you never injure an innocent when you confidently drive after drinking. The end.
@Jen farmer I'm astonished that you're arguing in favor of drinking and driving. I'm not going to stoop to name calling as you have several times. But you're dangerous. And now you're blocked.
Would you be able to speak with me about this at all? I just got my first one and I don't know what to do, even after watching this. This video definitely helps, but I'm still so confused :(
I just got my first DUI I'm super pissed how long did you have to have the SR-22 insurance and how long did they say it will be on your permanent record
Oh gosh... I can’t remember how long on the SR-22. Maybe a year, or 2 ? I think I say the video? Maybe another. But for me the increase of having an SR-22 was so minuscule as in less than $3 a month. As far as my permanent record... I just switched to State Farm after being with USAA for about 16 years and am saving $100 a month! They only go so many years back into your driving record and my DUI (it’s been 5 years) didn’t show up. So it really depends on the insurance company, in my opinion. I think that it stays though 7 years... don’t quote me on that...
You can go to court and represent yourself. You should at least speak to an attorney who has experience with D.U.I. cases. Usually a consultation is free of charge.
So u just need to wait for your court date, till u do anything... Like they gonna tell u what u gonna do after. Or u need to do schooling already before court?
@@ChoozeOneOfficial , the first action I took was hiring an attorney. "Schooling" and or "Counseling" is optional before your hearing. If you can't afford an attorney, you can get a Public Defender. It is NOT mandatory that you take classes before your hearing.
As in you got a DUI and opposed to it being “revoked” you surrender it...? Good question. I have no idea or info on that though. I’m thinking since when you’re arrested they take your license so it’s already gone...
in that case going to curt if the cop does not show up. will he will show up because its money for the stat they will tell the cop show up or you are fired
I hadn’t though of it that way, but I have heard of at least one situation where the cop did not show up, and the individual get to keep their license. I don’t think they’d fire a cop for not going to the Driver License Hearing, it’s rather informal at the DMV, and there is no subpoena.
You know for a traffic ticket or something like that yes if the cop does not show up then it is dropped but for a DUI I don't know how that works but like I think if that is the case yes they will have the cop in court because it is a lot of money in the pockets as I say.
That’s not how it works here (tickets dropped for cops not showing for traffic violations) , even for traffic tickets, the cops are not required to show for those tickets, and they are usually taken care of at the Municipal court house (speeding, stop sign, minor traffic violations). A DUI has a hearing at the DMV strictly in regards to the driver license. This hearing is before any actual COURT PROCEEDINGS. The cop is not required to show up to this hearing at all. Even once the actual court proceedings start to take place, I can’t say he was ever even in court. I’m sure if anyone were to dispute the DUI, and not take a plea, and by taking it to trial, then the officer would be subpoenaed and have to appear at court but otherwise. No.
Ha. I just went through this yesterday. The officer (actually highway patrol) DID show up, early too. He was dressed to the nines too, a 3 piece suit, not his uniform. I knew the whole story of 'oh he might now show up' BS. A) They are mandated to do so, esp for a DUI, and B) The officer probably looks at it as a chance to dress nice to court, be off the streets and gets paid for it. So yes, they DO show up and testify.
The DMV hearing can be and are typically done over the phone as a conference call. TRUST that they are after your money and they are not just magically dismiss ANYTHING just because an officer cannot drive and see you for your special hearing.
Can you give me some more information on your lawyer experience? Did they help you in court or to lessen any charges? I need help. :”( you’re mine and my moms favorite!
Thank you and your mom for the sweet comment! 💋 honestly, here in CO the reprimand is pretty consistent so NO I don’t feel it was in my best interest to have paid for an attorney. Every time I argues or asked for more to be done on my behalf it was shot done because “this is how it works”... but I’d recommend a consult if you can find a free one to go over your options- express what you want to happen and see if they can make that happen or if it’s going to be pretty cut and dry. I think at most mine was dropped to reckless driving which it still shows as a DUI so whatever....
advoK8great Thanks for responding! Why do you think it wasnt worth it? I am currently dealing with my first misdemeanor dui. I hit a car that was parked on the side of the road and flipped my car. No serious injuries
Goku San Goku San I just felt like I was being represented by a public defender, then I felt like the consequences are pretty cut and dry for a DUI, so not much leeway, ... however. And WHOA, that’s pretty serious, I’m so glad there were no serious injuries. I would recommend a few (free) consults with some attorneys to see what they say and if their answers are the same then I would meet with a public defender (if you qualify).
$2500 retainer and I believe at least an extra $500 on top of that. I got a lawyer because I was scared too, and thought maybe having one wouldn’t provide relief... but not really. Like I said it’s pretty cut and dry on the sentencing... I’d highly recommend consulting with a few different lawyers before deciding if you decide to go that route.
GrowingGreaterGood Kate tell me about it but do you have to get it installed into your car. I mean can they give you another option other than the interlock device?
+Xav X My DUI was about 4 years ago, not sure what other options there are. But I did have to get it installed on my car, and couldn't drive a car that didn't have one. My license specifically stated INTERLOCK ONLY or something of the such.

I have 2 dui’s first one was definitely my fault I was 21 and had a bac of .21 (yolo) lol jk that was in 2010, getting through it was pretty hard. But the second one in 2015 was way worse happened still have the interlock comes off September I had it 2 years. But on the second one I wasn’t driving I was in my car waiting for my sister and brother in law to pick me up because I had no intention in driving cop walked up to the car and started asking questions and since I had a precious or I was taken in. I wasn’t in probation by this time I had been off probation for 2 years. The second one I had to do 4 months house arrest which was about 4K to stay out of jail 2600 classes 6 months with no license AA class which were the worst all they talked about was god and I’m an atheist. Maad class 5 years probation all in all it was about 8k

@Endless Nameless Yes. I now stay in, but if I know I will be going out, I always have uber/lyft ready. Hope your Friend is doing well and she listens to your advice because if the second one didn't stop her she will get locked up.
Yes thank you. Stay safe out there.

DUI Is a cash cow for locals.
Bob Stahnke yep, it revolves around $
Especially for the pigs handcuffing and arresting people
Thanks baby. I got 6 points on my driving record and a lot more consequences I dont wanna mention.
The important part to focus on is that you will overcome all of it! You got this!
Remember that all states have different laws and these tips may only be useful in the state she lives in
Completely agree! I do mention that and that This happened in COLORADO.
I used to get DUIs back in the 80s. Fortunately I never hurt anyone. DUIs are much more serious today than the 80s . ( Legally ) They really throw the book at you now days . I quit drinking over 20 years ago.
Back then the person who drank less was the designated driver
Thank you so very much for this comment! ❤️💋
I got my license taken away when I got charged with a dui .. got a lawyer and pleaded down to public intoxication . And to put the icing on the top . The cop never submitted my loss of license to the dmv and so I got my license back without any reprimanding..
damn pigs arrested you
You need a lawyer.
Cheyenne Guthrie oh wow what state was this? I am in CA I blew a .16 at the station and did not resist arrest, first time offense. Thank you
NMEofdaST8 how’d it go ?!
What state are you in where you found a lawyer for less than $5000?
Colorado.
DANM POLICE ARE PIGS!
Very helpful thanks for posting 😇
Thanks for watching!
I didn't know this in time. Missed the 7 day mark. Damn.
This is for Colorado (el Paso county) your area may be different. If it was recently I’d definitely see if anything can be done (utilize the Covid situation?).
This is definitely the type of ordeal you have to research and just take initiative on yourself. Hopefully the rest of it works out for you.
Great video for 1st time offenders
Thank you!
Be prepared.
musicgeoman, agreed, my arresting officer showed up for my hearing.
You are awesome! Thank you.
Thank you!💋
You are the best I swear!
Caroline Stacey I hear ya! I was absolutely devastated when I went through this.
You will recover. It will get better.
This is my first DUI. Fuck a DUI. I subscribed
Wouldn't it have been much cheaper and less hassle to just call a cab the first place?

@@advoK8great i am i did my time but omg it sucks fine almost paid off and got licence back im sorry never again. Didnt call i know what happens if i did cops would show up at my house and take me to the loonybin under 5150 hold it wasnt my first time.
@@PaperBagMan884 im right lol its dark but true.lol as for crisis line your stuck in loonybin if ya call cops show up at your house and take ya there.
I live in California and ive heard that they just passed a law that dismisses dui charges for alcoholics because its a disease. Do you know anything about this?
Wow, very interesting and no I don’t know anything about that at all.
That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Don't believe it. I have yet to hear of any state dismissing D.U.I. charges for alcoholics. They would more than likely laugh in your face.
Are you in South Carolina ? I am freaking out right now . Still going through the grieving process ! Thank you for the comforting video
I’m in Colorado.
not being a smartass, but I dont own a vehicle...how can they make me get an interlock?
I have the same question, my car was a total loss since I ended up crashing into a parked vehicle.
davisx2002 what did you find out?
I thought if a cop doesn't show up at court the charge is dismissed.
+Elizabeth Schiada I believe you're referring to the DMV hearing, which is at the DMV.
no
the officer doesn't come to that either. and it's over the phone.
Just so everyone knows and to disperse the myth "The officer might now show up and so every and any charge against you will be dismissed" BS. I wish I saw this earlier
dealing with a dui with a refusal thats 7 years old :( not sure if i should even hire a lawyer start the classes/sr22 etc :(
My apologies on the ridiculously late reply. Feel free to share what you decided and how it turned out as it’s been 2 years at this point. (And like 7 years, isn’t there a statue of limitations?)
Thank you
Thank you for watching! Best of luck with it all, you can and will get through it! ❤️
Why do you lose your license again?
If I sell my car can I get my L's back without puting the iid after I finish with everything else?it's my first time too?
this is a thing? wtf
Thank you for sharing!
I'm from England, I just got arrested I blew 70
Do you have any idea what I'm looking at ban and fine wise
I don't work at the min due to severe depression
No. Absolutely no idea what the laws are in England. I wish you the best!
Can you get a public defender?
This video inspires me to start a company providing interlock devices, maybe dmv services, or anything. Seems like Americans just need someone to whom pay money to get problems solved.
Edit: lol, American problems solved, haha
Relevant username lol.
you didnt talk about a lawyer, did you need to get one?
I did get one. I don’t honestly feel as if she was much help…
There are taxi, Uber and Lyft to get home. Nowadays, there is no excuses to drink and drive!!!! It does not cost that much to call Uber and Lyft. Would you rather pay $20 for Uber and Lyft or pay $10,000 for a DUI????
Yen, very good advice!
This video definitely helps, but I'm still so confused :(
I’m happy to help as best as I can...
3 years
Do first time offenders always get jail time?
Chantal Beck I would say it would depend on the circumstances but here in CO not normally.
If you are going to go out get a taxi or Uber car
What state are you in? I thought typically the court date is assigned to you...?
Colorado
Yes, each state is different. PA. sets a person's court date.
Can you not hire Attorney for your court? I mean can you go by yourself
How about if I surrender my license can you Help me with if you know something about It???
As in you got a DUI and opposed to it being “revoked” you surrender it...? Good question. I have no idea or info on that though. I’m thinking since when you’re arrested they take your license so it’s already gone...
@@advoK8great, in PA. police don't take your license unless you refuse to a breathalyzer, field sobriety tests or a blood test.
in that case going to curt if the cop does not show up. will he will show up because its money for the stat they will tell the cop show up or you are fired
TRUST that they are after your money and they are not just magically dismiss ANYTHING just because an officer cannot drive and see you for your special hearing.
damn pigs arrested this woman
What state is this
Colorado
Can you please ca me I have some questions?
I blew 0.00 in NY.
They still took me in.
Did you have a private attorney or public offender?
Private. And honestly I didn’t feel it was worth it.
advoK8great Thanks for responding!
I would recommend a few (free) consults with some attorneys to see what they say and if their answers are the same then I would meet with a public defender (if you qualify).
advoK8great Alright thanks for the advice :)
You’re welcome. I’d be interested in hearing which you go with and how it all turns out, feel free to keep me updated!
Did you lawyer up? is it worth getting a lawyer for your first dui?
I did get a lawyer. And can’t say it was worth it. I feel like her response was “this is the way it is, this is part of mandatory sentencing”.
How much did your lawyer charge you if you don’t mind me asking? Thank you so much for your response, I’m freaking out right now!
I got my first one this morning can you kindly guide me please
All the info I have to offer is in the video! Best of luck.
Same here
did you have to get a breathalyzer interlock in your car?
+Xav X YES! And I hated it soooo much! It malfunctioned at least 2-3 times practically leaving me without my car.
Oh wow lol this in colorad waste of time ima just go with drive sober
