  • By Alistair Begg | truthforlife.org -- When we are redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ, we enjoy a familial bond with other Christians that cannot be severed. Because of their shared faith, Paul pleaded with Philemon to forgive and welcome back his runaway slave Onesimus. Forgiveness and reconciliation can feel overwhelming, but Alistair Begg reassures us that by God’s grace we are enabled to do what He calls us to do, even when it seems humanly impossible.

I forgive my soon to be ex-husband for verbally and physically abusing me for 33 years and for not truly loving me. And for using GOD'S WORD to manipulate and use it to get away with abusing me and our 3 daughters. For pretending to supposedly getting therapy but not really wanting to change in his heart but continuing with his abusive.

You forgive him by airing your dirty laundry? Seems like a "poison the well" approach. But you do get one virtue signal point for your solicited attempt to forgive. 👍
