Hey party people! When I commented 7 years ago on this post about doing one last show, I didn't think anyone would even notice it since we had been MIA for so long. Here I am, 18 years later from when Time and Time Again was released and it warms our souls still getting messages from you beautiful friends. For anyone wondering, we are all doing well and still great friends. Maybe there will be another show at some point in the next few years when we get the itch and need to scratch it one more time. Thanks to everyone for all of the love. We truly appreciate each and every message.
Hi guys! Barry from CF here. Thank you all for the support over the years. It warms all of our hearts to know you guys are still enjoying these songs. We have exciting news! We are going to reunite for one show only this summer. July 18th, Bowery Ballroom, NYC. This is likely the last CF show ever. Come through if you can and be sure to say hello to us. We will all be hanging out all night. Much love and respect to everyone. B
Barry Collins That's awesome. Wish I could be there man. As I'm joining the military soon myself. This video spoke to me on a deep level. Very heavy message and a great song. Thanks for your music guys!
Barry Collins It breaks my heart to know I won't make that show. :( I always wanted to see you guys live. But I can be happy in the fact your music will never leave! Thank you for all your talent!
Barry, I saw you guys at The Icon in Buffalo back in the day (circa 2004). Not only that, I played this CD until my Discman exploded. It got me through many a tough time. The lyrics, instrumentals...the juxtaposition between the different flavors of music...damn. I got at least 30 people hooked on your music back in high school and we all still talk about it to this day. I won't be able to make that show, but I wish I could. You guys are brilliant musicians. Thanks for the many memories. As I write this I'm still listening and it's every bit as relevant today.
Barry Collins could you guys please record the show had have it available for the people who will not be able to make it out to NYC for this final show!!
i saw this first when i was 14 on mtv. only once did i ever see it, and i might have missed it. i'm 31 now and to this day remember the lyrics. i hope the band knows that they left an impact on me and a lot of people like me. ❤️

I've been looking for this song/ music for so many years now... I can't believe I've found it. This takes me back to a time when it all made sense and life was much more simple. Hope y'all in the comment section are happy and healthy
This song reminds me a lot of my childhood. Unfortunately, 9/11 kind of defined our lives growing up. I know a lot of folks who served in the armed forces during this time. I am grateful their service and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Wild time in history to say the least. In some weird way this song brings up so many difficult memories, but also the best ones. Truly, a song for a generation that lived it. Thank you for the memories.
I went back to play burnout on my ps2, just to bring back memories and this song came on, its been so long, I used to be obsessed with this song in like, 4th grade wow
It's sad how correctly this song defines my problems. I spend so much time on being angry and facilitating my anger that I let joyful experiences pass by. It's to the point where I know it and it just makes me more angry. Nailed it.
This video talks to me, I've loved this song since MVP 2004. 2011-2012 was in college and all I cared about was ditching class, partying with friends and remember my dad being so disappointed that I didn't take school seriously. I walked into a recruiter office and saw my parents proud for the first time, mom was tearing the day i left to boot camp. A year later I got shipped overseas for a year deployment. How amazing I can relate to this video.
This song brings so many memories, in particular playing MLB 'O4. The extension of that was working all day managing a deli when I wasn't at college, going home to my apartment, playing that game for an hour until my fiance got home 'round 7:30. We'd have dinner, watch TV (no streaming anything) and she'd bring me a beer, and after TV, late, we'd go to bed and fuck. That was 2002-2004. This song completely crystalizes that memory: I can see her, every inch of my old apartment, and myself at the time. Almost twenty years later, and everything is different: myself, my life, the world, fucking video games (which I'm just too busy to play). I have a child, a completely different job, my student loans are paid, and I never married the girl and haven't spoken to her in over ten years. But this song brings me back to those days. To my college days. To that girl. To that game. Just wonderful. Meanwhile, the fucking Mets still haven't won the World Series.
+The Rock Music Channel Same, but then I got to see a great video that shows how the war in Iraq makes no one safer, and just creates traumatized victims.
i saw chronic future live .. they opened for suicidal tendencies in like 95 or 96. CF were a bunch of kids at the time... and were badass then. insomniac was the shit back then
I was a fan of this song when first came out. Song hits different in 2024 after joining the Marines from high school, going to war, doing 20 years and retiring from the military.
Took me years to find this song and to even remember the songs name and the bands name and then one day it just popped up in my head… I’m so so happy I finally remembered the name!!
It's crazy how deep this song is for the time it was made, it actually shows how the people we are at war with aren't much different than us, they have civilians that want to be happy and do what they want just like we do, when at the time everyone just believed everything the news said and didn't even think about how the majority of people in afghanistan/Iraq are just regular people like you and me trying to get by and live their life.
Only in his first term. By 2006, everyone just kinda gave up and figured it’d be less stressful to just wait until he legally couldn’t be president any more. It’s like what happened to the hardcore punk scene when Regan was re-elected. I’m seriously hoping that same apathy doesn’t happen if god forbid republicans win again for the next election.

Had this song ingrained into my brain growing up playing Burnout 3, I came back to it a number of years ago as we all do to get a shot of the nostalgia. I’m back for a little bit more I guess but it’s striking watching the video how little things change, here we go again, Ukraine 2022. I hope I’m wrong.
I think i understand this song now. It talks about how you try so hard to pursue your passions while others try to steer you into the correct direction for a successful future. You ignore them because you are so content on living your dream. when you finally grow up and realize your mistakes by harsh reality that you have accomplished nothing so you are forced into a job that you cant stand!
No you have to keep trying. If you have a passion you dont worry about success or money. If you are worried about money or success you dont have a passion
That's true but I'm a lucky one who set my goal into a reasonable mark I want to be a driver for a rental car company I did it for a month and had to give it up and I've regretted it everyday since then sure it's not "drive a Lamborghini everyday" money but it's something I love that is livable on a day to day basis
I just love this song. it brings so many memories, so many happy moments. We were young, we were careless... Thanks for giving us this wonderfull song!
I have always been searching for this video and song. I have a distant memory of watching it as a kid and through my teen years through my adult life, probably from like 2008 to now, I can finally die happy and a piece of my life has been completed. Thank you
YES. I remember watching my dad play MVP baseball '04, I loved the soundtrack! Watching him play videogames was one of my favorite things as a kid. Ahh childhood...can't believe this was 10 years ago :')
I was lucky enough to hear this song when I was ten years old, buy the album by the age of 12, and unlucky enough to never hear another album debut still to this day... These guys defined my essence of musical perfection and I've continued to let them be my musical preference for the last 14 years. Love these guys, always will.
I think the meaning of the song is that everyone has a deep passion they must pursue. Should they really pursue this path they will encounter the darkest side of there personality but they must over come and be bright in order to get what they want. Many people want very hard achievements and theirs a price to pay for them. In dealing with the price youre darkness you conquered will come out again and by then you will realize (where the lyrics stop but the music video explains) that love from another will keep you in the fight. Stay passionate!
That was a great tour. For an end of tour prank, we cover TC white tour bus in gallons of fake blood leftover from Halloween😂 It looked like they mowed down a herd of cattle 😆
My first concert ever was Chronic Future with 311 and Phunk Junkeez on New Years Eve way the hell back when. Such an amazing time. Ben, Barry, and Brandon, hope you guys are still awesome. -Clay
I can remember seeing this music video on MTV (back when MTV was cool), in 2004, I was nine or ten years old, and I can remember loving this song. Now, years later, in 2012, I found that it was on one of my old mixed CDs, and now I'm really happy that I found that.
I still listen to this album (all the way through) daily. Every song is a straight masterpiece. I would do anything to get more from them with this style. Top 3 bands of all time. How fast times move..
Josiah Blodget Same, I don't know why I start college in a week and I'm finding myself looking at stuff I liked like 10 years ago. I'm glad I'm not the only one.
I got babysat when i was around 5 or 6 and my babysitters would watch MTV, i remember this song in particular and it being so great. Here i am today 16, knowing that war is a thing, and it doesn't really stop. This song is still great though.
You took SO MANT YEARS TO FIND! I first saw you when I was 4 and have thought of this video heavy for the past long 18 years and now I can say I found you! You look as beautiful as you did when I first saw you on the mtv top 20 music count down with a bunch of great songs I rembered but not you and what I have to say is..I. WELCOME HOME! IVE MISSED YOU SO MUCH❤️❤️❤️
I was 13 when this song came out, I remember watching it on fuse, back before music channels switched to stupid reality tv shows, such a shame, it was fun having friends over and just putting it on the music station and just letting music videos play.
@@princesssmileyface91 those were the good ol days, I'll tell ya. When they switched to rap 24/7 and then reality shows it made me realize metal/rock isn't as popular as it once was.
Holy fuck. Been looking for this song for years.... just remeber being stuck inside my bedroom, parents pissed at me, grounded, bored, mad as hell....then this comes on... will never forget that moment. The simple days.
I remember seeing this on FUSE back in the summer of 2004. It's easy to forget now, but even mild dissent against Bush and the War on Iraq like this was very rare on American television for quite a few years after 9-11.
I have a tape of MTV from 8-4-04. They segued from Chronic Future - Time & Time Again into Why by Jadakiss. I don’t know if the segue was intentional but it really showed the time we were in.

I mean it is rap and metal. They both originate kinda from a place of angst
I didnt even know this was metal. Sounded more like pop rock or punk rock to me@@LTarts23

The early 2000's-ness of this music video hurts.

[Verse 1]
Inspiring, shining, rising
And when you're in my way
I'm not dividing me from you cause we're working together
Perfect in its splendor like the currents of the weather
The splinter in my center hindering all of my pleasure
Re-manifested as you in this endeavor
Once responsibility is taken I can render
Experience to be however I want to remember
[Chorus]
Time and time again we fall in to the depths of who we are
But you can't keep running away from what you're trying to find
[Verse 2]
Put yourself through the scariest of scenarios
Enter experiences you normally wouldn't dare to go
It's all for the character and the arrogant afterglow
Of knowing it's appearance according to your patterns of growth
And what your parents handed down to you to handle
Make sure you carry torches when their puttin out your candles
Prediction can be unkind but unwind them still
Don't erase the part of you that's responsible for your will
[Chorus]
Time and time again we fall into the depths of who we are
But you can't keep running away from what you're trying to find
Time and time again we fall into the depths of who we are
But you can't keep running away from what you're trying to find
[Bridge]
Well I've seen you and those things you do
And the way you hide that shadow can't be good for you
Your dark defines your light
[Verse 3]
There's some utterly damaged particles to deal with
And if I stutter I'm sorry but it's hard to feel swift
When stuck in my stomach is a cannon ball anchor to lift
I've been pushing it down pretending it doesn't exist
Well this is what happens when you're pissed about being pissed
You dig yourself so deep you resist just to resist
And there's no way to get back experiences you missed
So start right now today and risk furiousness for bliss
[Chorus]
Time and time again we fall into the depths of who we are
But you can't keep running away from what you're trying to find
Time and time again we fall into the depths of who we are
But you can't keep running away from what you're trying to find
[Outro]
Time and time again we fall into the depths of who we are
Time and time again we fall into the debts of who we are
But you can't keep running away from what you're trying to find
You just can't keep running away from what you're trying to find

This music is great. One of those that survive through time and touch different lives in different contexts, great melody and singing.
The fucking story line is amazing.
😭
Oh man, I forgot about this for the past nearly twenty years!
I think that song is an opinion about the society post 11S.
That's true but I'm a lucky one who set my goal into a reasonable mark I want to be a driver for a rental car company I did it for a month and had to give it up and I've regretted it everyday since then sure it's not "drive a Lamborghini everyday" money but it's something I love that is livable on a day to day basis
It's okay to follow your dream, just make sure you have a backup plan if your dreams/passion didn't work
Idk I don’t even wanna think about what it might mean I just take it as is it’s dark and scary enough already
I remember this from MVP 2004!
That feel when you remember a racing game you played so many years ago showing up in the YT recomendations... I didn't ask to cry dude (ll ;__:)
I was lucky enough to hear this song when I was ten years old, buy the album by the age of 12, and unlucky enough to never hear another album debut still to this day... These guys defined my essence of musical perfection and I've continued to let them be my musical preference for the last 14 years. Love these guys, always will.
The nostalgic hit is unreal.
Sigh I miss them so much...
Best rock/rap group ever.
I completely forgot about this song. It’s aged so well. Got it added to the playlist. This Nostalgic journey seems to never end.
Stay passionate!
....brah. Thank you so much for this. This is such a cool lesson.
I loved you guys growing up, thanks for all the music and memories fellas ❤
2021 here we are real CF fans never left.......
I just got transported back to the 4th grade. Man I miss 2004
Saw them live with Trust company, was a great time. Love this album.
That was a great tour. For an end of tour prank, we cover TC white tour bus in gallons of fake blood leftover from Halloween😂 It looked like they mowed down a herd of cattle 😆
i just want to go back... just give me a week 😢 i miss this era more than anything
Burnout 3. God how times have changed.
yea sadly now its Call of Duty and GTA :( God i need a time machine
+Ricardo Segarra GTA and CoD have been around for awhile. GTA was released in 1997 and the first CoD game came out for PC in 2003.
I just replied because you commented 2 years ago oh and here I am still playing Burn Out 3 to this day the game will never die to me
Drink Bleach same 1 year later...
14 years man...
This song in combination with the video made me sad the first time I saw it.
I miss my childhood 🥲
My first concert ever was Chronic Future with 311 and Phunk Junkeez on New Years Eve way the hell back when. Such an amazing time. Ben, Barry, and Brandon, hope you guys are still awesome. -Clay
its really fucking hard to find music like this
I can remember seeing this music video on MTV (back when MTV was cool), in 2004, I was nine or ten years old, and I can remember loving this song. Now, years later, in 2012, I found that it was on one of my old mixed CDs, and now I'm really happy that I found that.
2024 anyone?
2024

All year every year
I still listen to this album (all the way through) daily. Every song is a straight masterpiece. I would do anything to get more from them with this style. Top 3 bands of all time. How fast times move..
This song will prevail forever in Human histoy. Love to replay it everytime I can
Used to watch this video on mtv in the mornings before school while eating cereal. Why am I crying?
One of my favorite music videos in high school back when music videos were cool
20 plus years later this album is still on my rotation, love it!
I've listened to this song my entire life, but only just watched the video.
Whoa.
It all makes sense.
Randomly remembering this song at work and now here I am 2023.

Who produced this song? Mix is quite good.
I got babysat when i was around 5 or 6 and my babysitters would watch MTV, i remember this song in particular and it being so great. Here i am today 16, knowing that war is a thing, and it doesn't really stop. This song is still great though.
Such an incredible band.
I use to jam to these guys so hard when I was 15.. Back when the world was full of hope not like today's world.. #fuck2020
IVE MISSED YOU SO MUCH❤️❤️❤️
Remember this when FUSE played real music
I was 13 when this song came out, I remember watching it on fuse, back before music channels switched to stupid reality tv shows, such a shame, it was fun having friends over and just putting it on the music station and just letting music videos play.
@@princesssmileyface91 those were the good ol days, I'll tell ya. When they switched to rap 24/7 and then reality shows it made me realize metal/rock isn't as popular as it once was.
Going down a RUclips rabbit hole specifically related to fuse lead me to this
God, I remember.
Holy fuck. Been looking for this song for years.... just remeber being stuck inside my bedroom, parents pissed at me, grounded, bored, mad as hell....then this comes on... will never forget that moment. The simple days.
i love these types of songs that remind me of my childhood and the fun days..:)
Thanks zone tan
dicks out to you
Ahhh the MVP Baseball 2004 days.
This song came out when I was a freshman in college and enlisted. Damn. So many memories. Love this song. It feels like it’s about me.
burnout 3 takedown still the best racing game i've ever played
All these years I finally find this. Last time I heard and saw this it was on MySpace and I was a teen.
PLEASE GET THE BAND BACK TOGETHER
